Today, it's really easy to get caught up in nit-picking artists for petty details and miss the point of their videos, which in this case is about giving someone in serious need of an ANSWER or HOPE, just that. When I make weekly videos, I think about a lot of things: how I can share my talents, yes, but also how I can find ways to represent the message I live by daily- A message of inclusion versus segregation and discrimination, a message of equality versus sexism and homophobia, a message of equal representation and love for the world and humanity. This video is a collaboration of souls, not races and genders. All of us as artists and people agreed to support each other in this endeavor and share this vulnerable and honest space. Everybody's upbringing, culture and lifestyle were respected and dignified, not exploited or condemned either direction. This is a glimpse at the kind of norm I want for society, where we're not afraid of people who are "unlike" us, for to them, we're the weird ones, and let's be real: many of us couldn't fathom ourselves as the harmful, odd "other". So, I hope this video will inspire you to share life with more kinds of people, and also lend a helping hand/listening ear when someone needs it. At the end of the day, we may live our own unique versions of the story, but the story is part of a very connected, similar journey. You're not alone. Much love. xx

Every day for the passed couple of years, it feels like I'm losing my mind, like I'm losing the war in my head against the demons. I suffer with Mental Health and serious bullying (I'm 24 and the bullying has been going on since I was 5). I suffer with severe depression, anxiety, PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder. I have seen so much death over the years that I struggle with staying alive.
I figured I would share a little bit of my story so no one feels alone. Reach out, even if it's to a stranger. I had to at the age of 6 or 7, a teacher's assistant in Public School. She got me to turn to writing, after discovering how much I loved it even though now it feels like a chore.
But just know, I have to remind myself this every day, live for your loved ones - Family, Friends, Pets. Live to reach your dreams. Live for those who can't or couldn't. This might be harsh, but I didn't want to hear it but it happened. My dad, died 2 years ago. His last words to me were to stop cutting him, stop cutting myself because it cuts him. My best friend Annie, she was 10 when she died and I was 15, she told me to live my life for her. To reach my dream for her. To tell her story. I lost many friends due to suicide from bullying over the years. Everyone over the years, people at school, told me to stop lying, to stop seeking attention, that everything I was and still am facing - are all in my head.
I am getting help, I call my therapist, the local crisis line, reach out to the hospital when needed. If you are just wishing to die, reach out to loved ones, create a plan to protect yourself and call the crisis line. These thoughts of dying, are signs of your breaking point (at least they are to me) approaching.
You are NOT alone.

When this song first came out man was I going through some tough times . Drinking and smoking everyday trynna figure out how I can kill myself , sleeping all day , crying all the time & when this song came out I related so much and said the words I couldn't say .. still cry when I hear it but it's happy cry because my life is finally on track . This was beautiful ❤️

i loved this song from when I first heard it, and I told my son to listen to the lyrics, so many people hear the word die and think there is a negative message. Total opposite, I have had a friend back in HS that took his life he was a talented musician, and I will remember that day like it was yesterday (it was 1982). That is why I feel it is so important to slow down once in a while and just listen, you may save a life. Great video
It is so tragic to see all these beautiful people hurt so much. Most is due to bulling, abuse, drug use, but what ever the case hope endures and is the last thing ever lost. Truly I know and empathize with those who suffer this great pain. I Have been there and still suffer from negative thinking from time to time,but reaching out and asking for help is the best thing to do. isolating yourself truly builds that feeling ofbeing alone. At 1:17, I think I understood the couch scene. So basically the person singing "feel like this life ain't mine" is saying the thoughts and feelings in in his mind. Not knowing the pain inside him, everyone around him stays still bc in his mind that's what he's thinking to himself, but the person sitting on the couch singing "I want you to be alive" shows that he does care about him. Idk just a theory of mine. Good job btw.

Sometimes I just feel like giving in and ending myself because I don't want to feel empty any longer. The emptiness is so real and brutal. It's terrible and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. The people around you/me
think you're fine because you wear that fake smile. They think you're ok, but inside you're so lost. It's truly hard to keep going, because all you want to feel is something. I know that.
