Back as a cop, I carried a 22 mag pocket revolver as a backup to the 38 issued weapon. Our armourer specifically warned us not to use Squires Bingham (what Armscor used to be in those days) 22 wrmf rounds for this reason. And this was quite a while ago now. Seems their QA for their rimfire mag round has not improved much. Thanks for the video. It proves our old armourer was right.
I’ve shot about 5000 rounds of this armscor.22mag in the last 2 years and not had a single issue or malfunction, light primer strike, delay fire.. absolutely nothing. Both out of a revolver and an AR15 chambered in 22mag. I was shocked to see the results of this video. He got a crazy bad batch
I want to give a warning to all who see this, I would highly recommend NOT using Armscore ammunition! I bought some "affordable" Armscore .500 S&W Magnum ammo one day instead of just sucking it up and paying for the Hornady. I kept getting very weak recoil and LOTS of unburned powder all over the counter at the range. Then I got to my 7th or 8th round and the recoil was THE HARDEST KICK IVE EVER FELT! It was so powerful that it jarred something around internally inside the S&W 500 revolver. It locked up at that point. I could not open the cylinder, could not cock the hammer, could not turn the cylinder. I took the gun home, opened up the plate, and just moved some of the parts around to see if I could get whatever loosened. Couldn't find anything, so I put the cover back on, then kinda wrapped on the back with a plastic dead-blow hammer and tapped the cylinder with it. It eventually came loose and I was able to get the other two live rounds out. I will NEVER buy Armscore again.
Those Filipinos need to clean the funnels or recalibrate the scales on their rimfire loaders. That range of inconsistency is unacceptable.
What's sad is I believe these are the ones made in America.
Leaving this comment before I've watched.
I bought 200 rounds of armscore FMJ in .380. In both of my .380 pistols, it shot about 5" low at ten yards. And my wife just reminded me that it burned very dirty. Absolutely hate the stuff, but it was (relatively) cheap brass.
I saw it reviewed poorly on Lucky Gunner website.
Ever tried the Zinc plated steel cased from Eastern country? Re-branded for sanctions reasons a while back, I bought a bunch of it. Occasionally has light primer strike but DASA clears it on the second trigger pull every time..
Shoots pretty good, wonder if the Zinc plating makes it less damaging to the gun…
Interesting results and yea I wouldn't depend on it either. Your reloading demo had me laughing
Could be a squib waiting to happen. Be very careful shooting that trash.
I tried to be. Was careful to listen to what was happening.

pew, pew, PEW, pew, pfff, 💥 BOOM!!!
Or just don't shoot it, probably being a better option.
I had bad experiences with armscor 10mm and armscor 357 magnum ammo. Bought 5 boxes of the 357 fmj 158gr, in the first box I had light strikes in 2 out of 6 cylinders multiple times in a 686 and a GP100. Called Armscor and they actually had me send it back to them and they replaced it free of charge. What I got as replacement works so far. Tried 2 boxes of 10mm FMJ 180 grain in a Rock Island 1911, had 1 light strike but tons of feed issues and the ammo was dirty as hell. I love the Rock Island 10mm 1911 though. S & B and Blazer Brass run flawlessly in it. What's funny is that Armscor is Rock Island, so their own ammo doesn't work in their own gun. Like I said the gun is great, ammo sucks.
About three years ago I bought two boxes of 45 ACP Armscor ammo. We both have 100% stainless 45s, which makes dirt easier to see. We each shot one box of ammo, and it turned our guns black on the inside. We never bought another box of Armscor ammo.
Very interesting…thanks…really enjoy your videos and learn a lot…you shoot a handgun better unrested at 75 yards than most folks can shoot a rifle offhand at 75 yards.
Thanks. Some days I have good days, some days bad days. This video was on the bad side, just throwing them.
Excellent video. Got a couple of chuckles out of it. Using the 22 mag is like playing russian roulette but with a full cylinder. 😁🇺🇸👍
Several years ago, before the pandemic, I used Armscor 22 mag in in my 9.5 inch Ruger. It worked quite well, equal to the Winchester I normally used.
Guess they lost QC on this lot. :(
The visual and audio quality of your videos are both crystal clear, you must have a damn nice camera!
I like the 22 magnum round, but NOT the Armscor 22 magnum round...That ammo would have been far more reliable if you had been slinging it with a wrist-rocket. Oh, well...Now we know. Thanks for your time and effort.
They are actually just cheap older generation Gopros.
It is unwise to underestimate the power of the Wrist-Rocket”, Grasshopper…😉🤣🤣

Always a good production
Hilarious perception of reloading a revolver vs reality. That reminded me of Firearmguy with his limp wrist tests.
Good shooting with that crappy ammo! Thanks for the video
Had a similar experience with fiocchi 45-70 cowboy loads. Shot 2 rounds and both were hang fires. Only time I’ve gotten a refund on ammo. I’m unwilling to shoot anything that gives me hang fires anymore. Not only does that mean the ammo is substandard but it is also potentially dangerous.
Great video Sam

Very good info as usual. I like the addition of the Smith .380. Now, I have to go through my ammo to see if I have any of that junk.
The 380 EZ is great. I have a whole bunch of content I have filmed that is not released with it. Just like the full size M&P's, I have yet to have a single malfunction with it. Being a small pistol and all the ammo was random hollow point defensive stuff, that's impressive.
Thanks. Good information even though it was disappointing.
Yup 38 and 357, 6 squibs outta fifty each caliber. Now I have 250 rounds of the garbage left.
I have never had any problems with that brand of ammo, and I have it in 22lr all the way to 45lc all shoots great.
I bought a brick of Armscor 22LR HP 36 grains. Never had a misfire shooting my Ruger Mark III and very accurate out to 50 yards. Good for small upland games.
When you shoot and don't hit any part of your target, check to see if they cleared the barrel.
I've had countless issues with all rimfire ammunition at one time or another . I was walking my dogs in this wooded area when a pack of strays (dogs) came after mine . I had a MK II Ruger with me , chambered a round ,and pointed the gun at the ground hoping that once I fired it the noise would scare the dogs off . Well . I pulled the trigger and all I heard was click . Attempted to clear and chamber a new round , and the following round bent on its way into the chamber . The funny thing is I never had a problem with this gun until I really needed it . I suppose a revolver would've made a difference , but regardless of the manufacturer , I just don't trust rimfire ammo anymore . Oh yeah , I was able to scare the dogs off with a fallen branch and a few yells . How's that for a scary story (rhetorical question) .
Armscor has in the past had quality issues, but I've shot thousands of rounds of that same Ammo and it's all been fine. It's Rifle Ammo , it's been extremely accurate out of my browning Rifle too. I get 3/4" groups at 100 yards with that Armscor. Stick to Punch and Gold Dots , both of those will do very well out of that 3"
I have shot plenty of other rifle ammo in my revolver and all the rest hold consistent velocity.
I had similar (bad) cycling with 380 Armscor FMJ, I normally run Blazer 380 FMJ.
WoW! Very unremarkable. Thanks for the test.
Thanks for the heads up I almost bought a bunch of that online for what I thought was a good deal $9.99 per 50rd box. But I passed when it comes to rimfire I’m a big CCI fan. Federal makes some pretty good stuff for rimfire also.
Nice speed loader for 22 mag! Is that speed beez? Also I like that revolver. I tried that 22 mag ammo from armscor in my marlin model 925M and it was very inconsistent over the chronograph. Great video.
Thanks. Yes it's a speed beez. Decent range loader, not sure I'd trust it the way I pocket carry other loaders, but it's a nice little loader.
I bought a new 3" Python and the guy gave me a box of Armscor 357 ammo. I went to the range and i could shoot one or two rounds and the gun would then jam. The bullets were coming out of the unfired round and would jam the revolver. Loved the gun..hated the "free" ammo!
That is some truly inconsistent .22 Magnum ammo.
Yikes no thanks for any of that ammo, if they have quality control like that I won't be running any through any of my guns.... Thanks for the info be safe
Cool Grip on the 22
I wanted one ever since I saw that color. I can't remember where I first saw one, but it's the same one as stock just different color. I feel like it combines a little bit of everything. Like revolver is old school, and FDE is wood color like old school, but it's the LCRx so modern, and FDE is new age military. I just liked it.
Wowsers...that explains why it wont cycle my RIA .22mag 1911 worth a crap. 😕 price was right back in the day but geez....
Thanks for always awesome tests!!!!👊👊🦃👍
Thanks for watching!
I had to deconstruct a box and a half of .357 mag Armscor that were inconsistently seated . pulled 10 and weighed their charges. recharged and re-seated all bullets to a consistently. Still only the 2nd worst ammo I've ever tried.
How about a review on that speedloader?
I'm almost afraid to try the two boxes of Armscor 9mm JHPs I bought back during last "shortage" out of desperation.
Good to know. Thanks. Now what what to do with the junk Ammo?
Federal punch 45 grain 22 magnum
Thinking of acquiring a large acquisition of this Armscor 380.... What are your thoughts ?
I appreciate your time spent in responding, thanks n'God bless brother
I think that stuff is also sold under the Monarch brand. Given that no one like having holes poked in them, I would still give this stuff a pass.
The ammo was disappointing, but I do like the Speedbeez loaders I have a couple of them for my LCR 357.
I wouldn't feel too bad about using that .380 ammo. Granted, I'd rather carry Hydra-Shok Deep or Hornady Critical defense, but it looks like it'll do if that's what's on the shelf.
I've only ever shot one box of Armscor ammunition. It was .22 LR, and it was awful, but not as bad as the .22 mag you shot in this video.
A serious q.c. problem with that .22 mag. Hang fires and half velocity is a deal breaker.
I bought a few boxes of Armscore 44mag for my Ruger. That crap doesn't have enough powder to reject the brass.
I try never get any loose package 22 always cci or Speer, I was pissed when I got cci maxi mag 22 in a cardboard carton
That was some real skanky 22 mag there. I almost ordered some Armscor 22 LR today online. I am glad I didn't.
I've shot thousands of rounds of that 22 mag Ammo without one single problem. It's been extremely accurate too out of my rifle . Prior to 2020 I was buying Armscor for 60-69$ per 500! I shoulda bought a pallet of it
As far as Armscor, I haven't had any real bad experiences with it, but I've never chronographed it either. Their .22 TCM ammo works fine, but firing the 9R load in that pistol results in a stuck case every time. I do remember a steel cased Russian .22LR ammunition that was available in the mid 90's that was awful. Weak cycling, misfires aplenty and with what appeared to be beeswax bullet lubricant coating the bullets. I'm sure the beeswax works fine as a bullet lubricant, (I once bought a box of RWS .22LR ammo that was similarly coated), but they were very messy to handle.
I've seen other tests with this ammo. It's absolutely the worst thing out there!
Moist or damp powder will perform like that. Armscor is from the Philippines if I'm not mistaken? Wet, humid climate, coming to a dry cold climate can do all kinds of weird things to powder.
Interesting... I've got a box of .38 Special by Armscor which I haven't fired yet (hopefully it performs okay).
I had the same problem with Winchester dynapoints
I ran those, but not over the chrono I don't think, maybe I did I don't recall. It was when I unboxed the LCRX, I may have just shot at targets and it seemed okay.
I only used CCI mini mag and HP mini mags 1235 fps. copper coated ammo, I've not had one problem in my Taurus TX-22 or Tippmann Arms M4-22 or heritage arms revolvers. It's been very reliable, I have other brands but haven't used them , why risk having a problem at the range.
Diggn the speed loader 🐝
Hey, thanks for coming! You hit a target around 30% of the time and you think of yourself as a marksman? See ya.
I'd feel compelled to contact the MFG with the status of those .22wmr loads. That's unsafe levels of weird.
Yeah, it was weird
I definitely wouldn't use Armscoor ammo.
yep
Hey, Sam, we appreciate you showing us the bad ammo along with the good.👍
It's cold!
Armscor has been shown to be the worst readily available ammo for decades. The centerfire has been improving it’s reputation… Most 22 Magnum rimfire is inconsistent out of a pistol - have found the short barrel versions like the Critical Defense and Gold Dot to be much improved for short barrels.
Not sure what gun your shooting but I've had really good luck with the Armscor 22 mag ammo super accurate and I can't remember even having a dud round and I shoot 22 mag in a lot of different guns. In particular I can shoot 3-4 inch groups at 300 yards with my freedom arms 252 revolver I also shoot it out of my BCA 22 mag upper and it shoots reliably and accurately !
LCRx. Never had a single problem with any other ammo.
Armscor rimfire ammo? You're lucky they ignited at all....
Never seen that happen before with 22 mag
👍😊 🤷♂️ someone had a bad day at work on the 22mag line.
I like the CCI Max Mag best for 22wmr, Amscor ammo is junk in my experience. My cousin had a 30 carbine blow up on armscor ammo. Good compassion 👍
Armscor makes a pretty solid 1911, but I steer clear of their terrible ammo.
Weird, my Armscore 22 lr ammo was a lot more consistent than the WMR
Came here to say Armscor is trash without reading anything else in the title besides "Armscor," and I see you already figured that out. I posted a video a few years back about some issues I had with some in 9mm, and still to this day people leave comments on that video about issues they are having with Armscor. Years later and they still haven't improved the quality. NEVER buy Armscor, *epsecially* to put your life on it...
I saw that one when researching Armscor! I was looking at search results ad saw you, was like hey, I know that guy lol
Try giving it a few months and try one more box of those .22 mags, just to see if maybe they had a bad lot. I encountered a really bad lot of .22 long rifle Federals. I think they already knew at that time that the lot was bad. I contacted them, and they sent me a check for a full refund and said just to dispose of the ammo. The stuff was pretty bad, too, really inconsistent. Had a few rounds that seemed a bit overpowered, and a lot that were weak. One round barely made it out of the barrel and I saw it tumbling in an arc out of the barrel. It was pandemic ammo, so no big surprise they had some issues, having just restarted their factory and trying to rush ammo, I guess.
Armscor sucks
@@macriggland6526 They have their issues.
Maybe damaged in shipping, storage? I wanted to remove wax coating on some 22lr due to feeding issues, experimented with dry tumbling, dipping tips in mineral spirits, melting off in 200* oven...yeah pretty stupid, turns out 200* made about 10% no ignition,20% primer only fires, 30% very weak and the rest normal. so maybe that box got over heated somehow, too bad they don't have some temp sensitive ink or something on the outside packing, like a dot that changes color or like invisible ink(lemon juice)that becomes visible when heated
Despite the results, it was still an interesting test, plus you shared that this ammo stinks
I just had 2 boxes of bad Armscor 9mm
So far no complaints with this ammo.. so far anyway..??
And the fact that 22 wmr online in bulk is about the same as 9mm, at least if you're going w/the absolute cheapest opition, really makes this ammo suck. You're probably be better off with Remington Thunderbolt 22lr than that stuff...........at least it's consistent.
I'd be concerned about a squib load hanging one in the barrel.
🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸💪🏼🤘🏼👍🏼
Armscor 22 mag. from your results is a waste of money. You probably would have received better results from a 22 LR Aguilla Interceptor 40 grain bullet, or other 22 LR high hyper velocity cartridges. Thanks for your video.
509 FPS! You'd probably get faster than that with a .22 CB Cap!
i weigh all my .22lr/22magnum. the weights are all over the place.
Yet another reason why I don’t use that stuff!
Can't be worse than tulammo .45 acp. I had endless problems with it. In this case, I had been thinking about using 22 mag for carry, but your tests changed my mind. 380 or higher only!
Steel in general sucks. Had some Winchester forged jammed up. "Tap rack bang" does nothing with swelled steel in your chamber.
@@GunSam whinchester sucks. Get blazers or sig saur they run perfect for 380
@Gun Sam _Revolver Aficionado_ Yeah the tulammo gave me a squib and destroyed my barrel
22 mag Armscor maybe 😢made from Philippine ?
interesting 22 mag ammo
No wonder Rural King had it for $9.99 a box. I guess, lucky for me, they only had three boxes...
I think that's about what I paid on Cheaper than Dirt. Something like $10 or $11 when everything else is about $16.
That was no comment.
🙂
That animal (ammo)could cause a lot of legal trouble.😢
7:07 new tripod?
I used three tripods, so yes I replaced them all.
Almost acts like it isn't crimped enough
Wow that 22 mag is pure junk.
That sucked. Bad ammo is one thing. Having to buy it is another.
RoaR
Imagine getting a gang fire while rapidly firing. The cylinder might not be aligned…
Edit: hang fire*
That's the word I was looking for. Just been forever since I heard it or seen anything like this. Yeah it wouldn't be good.
armscor is bad ammo it destroyed one of my guns
Disappointed!
Please change your music? Chainsaws are not musical instruments. And pianos should not be hammered on.............................elsullo
You're whining because it's not made in the US.
I bought 250 rounds of 300 Blackout from Armscor. Of the 50 I fired NONE would cycle the action, NOT ONE. Changed ammo to American Eagle and then PPU and all of them preformed. Armscor was a lot dirtier than the others also. Bottom line... ARMSCOR SUCK.
