The most hilarious thing is that basically everything Orin is saying here would be so out of character. This group is more than willing to vibe with evil people when necessary and honestly Minthara isn't much worse than Lae'zel. Wyll is far too noble to try to kill her. And Minthara is far too pragmatic to start murdering her allies who are the only chance she has at survival and revenge
I had her do this -- except she claimed to kill Karlach. While I was playing origin Wyll, who was romancing Karlach. Needless to say, Wyll almost DID try to kill "Minthara".

It would have also been funny asf if there was a dialogue option that asked "Wait, if that's actually Karlach under there then why aren't the sheets burning?" with Orin awkwardly being unable to explain that.

Considering she's a changeling, and (RAW) changelings can't morph their clothes when they shift appearances and Orin somehow does, I'd say she's doing pretty well haha
I don't like how they try to threaten the death of your party members when reviving them has always been as easy as Withers will just do it. However, the moment Orin kidnaps them it's supposed to be a threat. Then Withers won't be able to revive them despite being able to do so after they're killed for days and days on end? I think baldur's gate is too generous with its resurrection personally for them to threaten this.
The reason why Withers can't revive party members during certain situations is due to them being ritual sacrifices in those situations. If Durge kills a Alfira, Grootslang, or a companion, their soul goes to Bhaal's domain and thus Withers can't revive them. If Orin sacrifices one of them, she also sends their soul to Bhaal with the same result. The only real "hey wait, why dafuq can't you revive?" scenario with a scripted party member death is if you decide to stake Astarion during his bite attempt. There's really nothing stopping Withers from reviving Astarion on a request but he just doesn't give the option.
