gale just drops one salty insult after the other lmao.
"i'd wish you a bright future but you can't escape your own company so. anyways. it has NOT been a pleasure" go off king
Yeah that was a pretty good burn
I know, right? When he pops off, it's like "Well, you didn't have to go THAT hard 🥺"
Wyll is so sweet. He tries his best not to be a jerk, even when he's upset.
*leaves party *
*instantly turns onto a mindflayer *
Well, i think gale can join Raphael, so he at least has a plan.
As to shadowheart... she is the weirdest one before she turns to a selunite, she will kill for the relic and she just leaves you with it
@@michasokoowski6651 She might know it won't do any good to take it. She's said she can feel that it wants to be with you. And if you go to the goblin camp without her, it just flies to you by itself
"What happened to the woman I fell for?" OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, she sounds so heartbroken. I can't. I can'TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Wyll's makes me so sad. dude wasn't even angry, just disappointed in you
I think when someone you care about it hurts more when they are disapointet then when they are angry. Or its just different. x3
Wyll has such a pure heart, literally, his heart was in pristine condition when my durge ripped it out of his chest. Mediocre taste though
My durge is the chosen of one of the most evil gods in the pantheon, openly has an insatiable desire for power and will just murder random people for lols yet a cleric of selune, a selfless vigilante warlock and a tiefling with a heart of gold are just like "you are the most amazing person i've ever met I trust you entirely"
Durge has it in the blood. Your kindness is worth an obscene amount giving that it's coming from a individual born from the god of murder who also deep down wants to murder those he/she love just as much as everyone else. Is it really any wonder why the good ones desire to redeem you and the evil ones are so loyal?
Minthara's leaving hurt me much more than the others and how she says that she was used and spurned by two gods, that she is an outcast, that she hoped that "YOU" would be her new home, where she would feel protected and safe, uhhhh I just can't, Minty I just can't let you go and lose you, I just don't have that right, I will be with you till the end my beautiful drow)
Almost make you forget how black hearted she is even without the absolute
The writers were very good at making the player feel like crap if they got to this point. Esp with the romanced characters.
I could say its me, not you, but that would be a lie 😂😂😂 Gale is so funny!
Jaheira sounds so dissapointed, I would never fail her like that 😢
I still haven't told her that Minthara, Shadowheart, Lae'zel, Astarion, and I raided the grove. I don't want to see that look on her face.
“Shart has permanently left the party”
I still wish I had half of Karlach's emotional intelligence. She's gentle even as she has to leave for her own sake.
you can have her head xd
wyll and minthara genuinely make my heart ache. the way wyll acknowledges being led a dark path despite all the good he’s fought to do even with mizora. minthara feeling as though she’s being led astray and not regarded with respect again. not to mention the way they express pain through their words as they speak to you :( ugh
I like to imagine that you lower the approval by just smacking them with your sword over and over and then doing the next dialogue check
wyll is such a sweetheart dude they could never make me hate him
My rejection sensitivity could never 😭
literally no idea how you get the companions to hate you. like you actively gotta go out of your way and make it a goal lol
I think you would have to insult them at every option. There are these dialogue options but nobody would chose them as they're often stupid. There's no benefit to just insulting people.
@@Peleski Unless you play as a Bard, then you have to use Vicious Mockery on everyone just to see al the dialogues. XD
@@Karomix3 I cannot LOL. I love these guys.
@@Peleski Use them on all your enemies then, or Volo. XD
@@Karomix3 I rarely play a bard because I like to keep Astarion for his excellent lockpicking skills.
the way karlach's so mature and kind about it :,)
7:23 if a short race: “We can start seeing eye to, naval.”
Wyll is the best character. He is very sweet, every interaction with him i really enjoyed. Props to the voice actor, beautiful voice too
Minthara with glasses has awoken something in me
Poor Wyll, he seems such a sweetheart.
the karlach one hurt more than it needed to
This video caused me actual pain 😢
When the camera cut to Laezel during the Karlach clip, i nearly shit myself from laughter. The fucking helmet on her head
sooo they leave and... what? the second they leave emperor's reach theyre mindflayers
True, except for Jaheira and Halsin, since they don't have tadpoles, but for most of the others it seems quite odd that they would choose becoming mindflayers over putting up with your character, no matter how horrible they are. Except for Wyll, obvs, he's disturbingly okay with self sacrifice and I get the feeling he'd choose death before becoming a bad guy.
@@Rime_in_Retrograde I think it also makes sense for Karlach, as she'd rather die than go back to be of service in Avernus with the whole engine thing. I imagine being with a Tav/Durge that got her approval so low would be similar, since you'd have to be making royally cruel and fucked up decisions to get that low.
@@doe4003 I thought about including Karlach, but for how nice she seems, she also was a soldier for a decade and a bodyguard for a very not nice dude before that. So I figure her moral compass has a bit more give to it, out of necessity if nothing else 🤷♀
No. The absolute halts mindflayer progression until the order is given.
@@ghostderazgriz In game, (just before the Shadowlands I think) The Emperor mentions that the Absolute has been repeatedly trying to give the order for your party to change, but that he's been blocking it. Depends on if he's telling the truth though.
oh, gods, the transitions... good editing
Wyll is so cute :(
I guess somebody has to like that annoying dork
This whole video is why I could never do an evil playthrough. I don't care if they're just polygons and recorded lines by actors I could never upset or disappoint any of these characters.
Thanks for this, I would never go through with these myself, I always try to be a people pleaser as much as I can :D
Tho I honestly find these hilarious in concept, like, everyone here knows that this is an alliance of neccessity, even if you dislike each other, we literally have to be together to not turn into mindflayers, its beyond dumb that they would leave just because we dont get along :D
Karlach and Wyll left together the first day I recruited them.. it was my first playthrough so I had to destroy the Druid Grove to recruit Minthara.
shadowheart one broke me 💔
How does this even happen? I have done the craziest shit and the most I've ever gotten was a scolding. I guess it's mostly influenced by being dickheads to them in the dialog tree over and over
when you realize they all turn into mindflayers once they leave the artifact this makes them all look so dumb
Well, at least Jaheira and Halsin will be fine, I guess.
they'd rather be mindflayers than suffer your company
well to be fair they just want the god damn tadpole out 😭😭
How the flying BOOYAG can you make me feel bad for the borderline sociopathic drow?! Curse you, Larian, for making so lovable characters!!!
Why does Astarions always hurt the most 😭 Neil is such a good va
Minthara’s is the saddest. I loved doing evil stuff with her.
No one helped me bully children like she did
@@towelgirl21 👏
@@merlinho0t Making a 6-year-old cry for being a bad newspaper salesman was the moment that nudged her approval level high enough to confess her love, I can't make this up.
this made me actually sad :,)
I think the game is too lenient on you neglecting your companions, almost all of them (except maybe Gale if you don’t treat his condition) will stay with you till the end even if you never interact with them after recruitment (which basically was my 1st playthrough because I kept the same 3 companions the whole game). At some point they should just be fed up and leave, not that I’ll miss them if I’m not gonna play them but it’d be more realistic that way instead of going through this many warnings which nobody gonna discovers it unless they deliberately wanna see what happens
I basically only took Astarion out when there was a specific astarion quest and I missed quite a few things he cared about, but he was always friendly and at the end even liked me enough to listen to me and be happy when I got him to not ascend. Same for Gale. Halsin kept telling me I exceeded expectations and like... bro, you helped me fix a curse and I barely spoke to you since. Sure thing.
You're all fighting to save your lives. I think I'd be willing to put up with a lot if it meant saving myself and the world. I don't need to be besties with the army or even the leader.
If they leave, they are going to undergo ceremorphosis (other than Jaheira and Halsin ofc, but Jaheira cares about Minsc and Halsin only joins you if you saved nature boy, so they have their reasons). And they know it. So... that is a good motivator even if you neglect them.
Yeah, had the same thoughts about Astarion in my playthrough. I made a mistake of not killing him when turned out he was a vampire and for some reason dragged him with me instead. So since my MC was a rogue and my constant never-changing team were Shadowheart, Gale and Lae'zel, Astarion was just doing nothing 90% of the game, sitting alone in the camp, sometimes hearing how much I don't want him there, and other 10% of time was used as a lab rat for Volo's surgery or drinking Hag's potions. I have no idea why the guy didn't just flip me off and leave my team😆
gale used to go for rapahel if you ignored his quest for too long. shame they cut that
I didn't even know this was possible
The fact that you made all the worst Tavs wear glasses speaks volumes to those with vison impairments...
The decision to leave Minthara out of the "main" party is outreagus and I think it comes from multiple bugs related to her.
“Shart has left the company”
Why did Minthara's make me so depressed, jesus christ
These all hurt but Jaheira reprimanding me is the worst. It's like you disappointed your mother.
I'd never disappoint my Shart but THIS HURT MAN
I think Larian forgot that the INSTANT a companion leaves the party, they'd instantly turn into a Mind Flayer because the artifact is no longer protecting them.
I could HATE somebody, but if staying close to them was literally saving my life and there were ZERO alternatives, I'd suck it up and just deal with them.
Shart insists on consistently hitting way too close to home for me.
6:23 😂😂😂 Gale is hilarious, usually I feel like Astarion’s lines are the most fun but Gale wins this time
The outer worlds: hey can we talk
Player: you're fucking fire
what
HOW do ppl get their approvals so low to do this JKFBKFSB even in my evil playthrough gale LIKES me
Ive never seen any of these in four playthroughs. Two of them urges one of them evil, how do you even get them to hate you after making them higher than neutral?
I recieved the first warning with Astarion, he was not pleased with me... I had to make a conscious effort to gain his approval in act 2 and went from low approval to high approval.
I got the first warning from Lae'zel close to the end of the game, because i kept dismissing her idea of killing Orpheus. Didn't really care though🤣
If you're playing good decision person, Astarion is pretty easy to lose Act 1 if you keep him in your active party, because he gets annoyed at some stupid things. Like you hating slavers and slavery, he hates that despite he, himself, having been a slave for 200 years.
The rest are pretty hard to lose Approvalwise, Karlach, Gale, and Wyll are more likely to just straight leave if you go down the evil path. Lae'zel is fine if you let her do her own talking, show her respect and personal strength, and show any interest in Gith culture, and it's very easy to boost Shadowheart's Approval massively early that random -1s are basically meaningless. And if you recruit Jaheria/Halsin/Minsc you're on such a path that you're basically going to have to do a MASSIVE pivot to get them to leave.
Realistically, if you want this, just keep casting Friends on them. Even on lower difficulties, where Friends doesn't have the drawback it does on Tact/Honor, it'll still ding your Approval with them by something like -20 per.
do you have a modlist anywhere? :) i love the first armor on wyll!
I just gotta say that Minthara with glasses is 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
I have to wonder... story-wise, does the Emperor continue to protect them if they strike out on their own without you?
It doesn’t help the Emperor to survive, so he wouldn’t
The dude would probably nuke them or let them turn, just to eliminate liability. The Emperor wrote off Minsc because he was too impressionable. I doubt he would let any companion actually walk way, as they would be leaving with an actual grudge and are a massive liability.
I mean he can't even if he wanted to. They're out of range.
are all of these outfits part of the basket of equipment mod?
What are these amazing clothes?
How do you even achieve this with Laezel? I straight up told her Id cut her for wanting to go to the creche, and she did the love duel that night.
She sure gives mix signals
The only time I ever had her threaten to leave was not because of our relationship but because we went through the Underdark and not through the mountain pass to the crèche. She said she was tired of waiting and she was gonna go alone, which probably would have killed her since she would have gotten the shadow curse. Idk if she was actually gonna leave but I just reloaded my game and didn’t talk to her again at camp and it seemed to work.
4:40 lmaooo really? "Shart"? I sense some hate for shadowheart there
It's common among fans, not really an insult. Like Durge.
It's a loved nickname by fans. Why are you so easily offended?
Gale is pretty Petty.
Kinda want to break up with Astarion and get back together just for the drama :)
Why does your tav look like she has something growing around her mouth @ 6:09 is it because she slept with too many people in camp?
What’s three plus five?
Cuz Gale ATE
Is this even possible without mods ?
How do u mess up this badly!?!?!?
On purpose.
If you use the friends cantrip a lot on companions
This could probably happen to you naturally on a pure evil run if you bring 3 same companions everywhere with you until they're fully sick of your shit then rinse and repeat with the rest. But realistically you're just spam casting Friends as the person above already said XDDDD
Yeah, the only real way is Friends, or some SERIOUS effort on your part. Low Approval is definitely the hardest way of losing a companion, it's way easier to lose them via story beats if you fuck up.
What prompts this dialogue??😢😢
...Are you dense? It can't get more obvious.
Wyll is such an insufferable dork but nobody could be as annoying as astarion
