PlZ make video about Indian premier league of India
Is there a way to see sources used to make this video?
Kind of a dumb video
I thought this video was going to actually be about How Stadiums evolved, in both design and technology, and how they differed based on the region and why. Not an argument about How football has lead to the decrease in Religion
Yea i thought so too.
Same
yea, me too 🤤
I find it intriguing how much similarities are there between sports fans and religion.
Same here. Creature comforts aside, my favorite era has always been the iconic stadiums of the 80s ..San Siro etc. Was looking forward to understanding what drove us to the 'glass" look so popular today.
The only criticism I can find in this video is the association of falling religious attendance to the rise in attending football matches.
The fall in religious attendance is not necessarily caused due to the rise of attendance in Football matches.
There are far more important factors that constitute how many people attend religious ceremony and how many attend football matches
Yes, a big trend video essay youtubers do is find an associaton between 2 trends in history and explain that single trend as the soul reason for the outcome.
Explain..
Indeed, correlation does not always lend itself to causation.
I think this video is a fun content in which people who claim “football is my religion” are taken seriously, thus the association of the rise in one religion (football)’s attendance and the fall in other religions’ attendance.
@@iceblazzer7549 Bro, the statistics are right there before you.
Tbh when I was in munich in the Allianz Arena and hambourg in their stadium to watch their games everything inside felt super cold and soulless. From the outside the Allianz Arena looks super modern but inside everything is just made out of stone. Understandable because of everything that can happen there like beer, food or puke what will splash on the walls.. but it still felt like missing some character.
(I am just talking about the stadiums itself - totally aware that chanting people can bring up some atmosphere)
Some warm wood, colours and decorations would definitely make a huge difference and give a more ''homecoming'' atmosphere.
Hey athletic interest,we are waiting a lot for the video of how Barcelona is signing big names even at its low financial status...hope u make it soon♥️
THIS 💯
HITC Sevens made a great video on this topi: czcams.com/video/5uC9zD_4CpU/video.html
I mean they sold rights to many things and they always had cash, they just couldn't register players due to the La Liga's equivalent of Financial Fair Play. That's why even somewhat big clubs like Betis didn't really do anything in the last transfer window. It's nothing complicated, nor surprising really
Barca areni poor or near bankruptcy, it was that their revenue dropped when Covid hit and la Liga decided to not give their clubs exceptions for the unprecedented circumstance. 90% of la Liga clubs sold their broadcasting revenue 2 years ago, but the big two did not like the terms and went without. Madrid on the back of so many CL victories had revenue to weather the storm without hitting the wage cap/revenue limitation. They were also being frugal for a few seasons to make room FFP wise to bring in Mbappe/Harland. Barca had not been, spending somewhat unwisely ever since the Neymar deal. When fans weren't allowed in stadiums and their revenue dropped, this put them over the line for la Liga. ATM they're doing everything they can to toe that line until the season is over and they have their revenue back to normal levels and thus no wage cap limitations to worry about. Things like selling their broadcasting revenue like the rest of la Liga, though at better terms, or letting go of wages wherever possible, deferring payments until revenue returns to normal etc.
Yes.... We want this kind of video
“When you start supporting a football club, you don't support it because of the trophies, or a player, or history, you support it because you found yourself somewhere there; found a place where you belong.”
-- Dennis Bergkamp
I love the new stadium with new technologies and stuff, but when the old stadium was demolished I felt like the legacy of the old stadium went down with them. As a Liverpool fan, I can't imagine if our stadium is no longer Anfield. I prefer renovation instead.
I miss old Wembley with those 2 towers.. so iconic
Totally agree.. 50 years more and the great stadiums will become historic monuments like the cathedrals themselves... just imagines 50 years from now kids visiting Anfield remembering the greatest games and comebacks that wee're enjoying this present time.. imagine Santiago Bernabeau.. Camp Nou.. Allienz Arena.. we just can't demolish them..
Why wouldn't Spurs and Arsenal christen their new stadia with the old name? Tottenham Hotspur Stadium doesn't have the same feel as White Hart Lane.
@@Nipiniponipi alien Arena was built in 2005 for the 2006 World Cup. its a fairly new stadium for Bayern Munich not as iconic as Signal Iduna Park which Is 100 years old. Bayern demolished their old stadium.
@@covfefe1787 and even their previous stadium wasn't that old. but they didn't demolish it, in fact it is still used by a 3rd tier club and just last year it hosted the european athletics championships. that said, it wasn't build for soccer in the first place, but for the 1972 Olympics
The name "The Cathedral" explains how sport took a major part of our lives
football has always been full of emotions cant believe a life without football
Pure passion!
Same here bro
That American joke is so classic 🤣🤣😂😂
This video actually shows that football was originally played with the hands. It became football because it was played on foot, not with the feet.
@@RBzee112 The oldest form of football however is Cuju originating in China, it outlawed using the hands while playing.
This is the best channel. Production and the information is amazing. Can't forget that soothing voice.
Thank you!
Great video again! Thank you so much!
Hey all, just a quick note to be fully transparent: we now changed the thumbnail and title of the video (again). We felt that the original one didn’t really do justice to the story 🏟. For anyone wondering why we would change thumbnails in the first place, here’s a great video by Veritasium breaking it down: czcams.com/video/S2xHZPH5Sng/video.html. Thanks for all the feedback ✌!
All of your videos are listenable put them on Spotify… Plz😢
Is such a joy thinking on the research you've made for this video. Once more, thank you.
The story of Tottenham and it's new stadium is a fascinating one 💯 As Athletic Internet have previously covered that their new stadium generate €5 million in profit for each matchday and it's first of many features ( like the first retractable pitch, first inbuilt brewery and longest bar in the UK! )....... I personally think it would be enjoyable if you guys covered a video about Tottenham's new stadium in the near future ❤️
I really like this channel and normally enjoy the videos, but I didn't like this one too much. It all felt really disconnected as if they weren't sure what they wanted to talk about and just jumped from a topic to another trying to show some similarities that seemed really forced. Maybe the premise wasn't so good. I hope this was just a fluke because your content is usually pretty good.
The detail of colonization in south américa , making half chile in the map shows your attention and dedication, Thanks
Love This Channel Gets Straight To The Point And Doesn't Promote Fake News Unlike Other Channels
It’s not only association football, but sports in general. In Canada it’s hockey, in New Zealand it’s rugby union football, Japan and Korea has baseball, Australia has rugby league football and AFL. America, you find passion for different sports throughout the country.
But football dominates bro and u also
But I agree with you
It’s American football in the us by far
Great Video!
Thanks, Lucca! 👏
I'm a Man U fan but more importantly a Football fan. Absolute disgrace the San Siro is being knocked down. Arguably the most iconic stadium on the planet just gone. The fact that 2 top teams share it just makes it even more iconic. Should never be destroyed.
Fax as Barça fan
Nice video Athletic Interest.
Thanks a lot, Shubhojit!
Always love your videos ❤️❤️
Thanks, Simon! 🏟
Brilliant!!
Thank you! 😀
Great vid
Thank you!
In certain countries/cities/communities football is already being seen as a religion where you need to attend/preach about it on daily basis.
I just want to say that I LOVE THIS CHANNEL
Wow, in caps lock too! 😄❤️
An amazing video... as always! Thanks, guys for your work. Btw, is it possible to contact you with a tip for an interesting video?

Hello again Athletic Interest 👋
Hello again 😄
Akchually, the Colosseum hosted some events during Rome Olympics in 1960. Sadly not fencing but wrestling
Excellent video make a video on american college sports
Yes
I think one pope recently said something like "Out of all the unimportant things in the world, football is the most important"
John Paul II… and repeated by Carlo Ancelotti 😅
“When cathedrals want to make money from the patrons, they Introduced monthly donations at the letter of indulgence.... A certificate that obsolved a church member of any sins in return for a cash payment! You can get the same at our Patreon.” brilliant 🤣🤣
for reference i live in the united states, i was a building trades union plumber for 14 years in construction in that time span i work on 2 new stadium projects from ground up, lincoln financial field and citizens bank park, i've worked on zero churches.

Are you sure? Coronavirus is one example😂😂.
Nonetheless great video! Keep it up!

What a great thumbnail
I love football ❤️⚽️
Where can I find the sources used to make this video?
The colluseum was even used for a place to do a party
Legends know the title of video has been changed!!

Hey man please make video about Indian premier league of India 📊
This is the best football page
Thanks, Edwin! 🙏
Football is an economic cog and a manifestation of the ideals of secular society, it doesn't necessarily mean it's an objective measure of truth or purpose.
It's great as entertainment, but let's not kid ourselves, it's a want not a human need.
In some religion. Sports is also the major part of it's religion, for example in Islam, physical activities are necessary to make the body fit and healthy for do anything good in our lives and help the others, also the Prophet were mastering in archery, horse riding, swimming, and wrestling. In Hinduism there's Yoga, in Chan Buddhism there's Shaolin with martial arts, etc
Mittlerweile der einzige CZcamskanal den ich verfolge.
Gelora Bung Karno stadium in 0:53 👏
In Germany, the BVB Fans call their stadium "der Tempel" which literally means temple.
Title seems sentimental
Don't know about football but Cricket is definitely a Religion in India
Only in subcontinent but all over world football is mate.

Was will and always be ❤️
so thoroughly researched and presented. This is peak quality.
Sarcasm?
I feel sorry for my friends who don't watch this channel. And that sponsor, wow!
The kuip has way more religious value to most feyenoord fans than any church could ever have, always good to see the kuip being mentioned during a video
As a confused American, I would like to buy an indulgence from Athletic Interest.
It's the thumbnail for me
I feel that all the modern stadia look the same, oval, smooth edges and a partial cover up top. One of the reasons why famous stadia were iconic was because of their unique designs. Whether it's Santiago Bernabeu or Camp Nou, soon they'll look all the same.
In my country...
Football is Religion.
Religion is Politics.
Politics is Football.
Politics is football? Tf does that mean
@@caa4118 In elections there are two great candidates, where people defend them fanatically, like a football team.
Football has always been my religion, tbh..
I really like your videos Athletic interest, but you really missed the mark with this one.
I think claiming that the decline of religion is directly linked to the rise of sports is very ill advised.
To me it's a very clear example of cause not neccessarily equalling causation.
Here is a different example:
Over the past 200 years or so the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has greatly increased, while the amount of people who consider themselves religious has decreased.
Therefore the CO2 in the atmosphere directly causes people to become secular...
That is of course complete and utter nonsense.
Also the vague connotation that stadiums are basically churches and Letters of indulgence are like tickets to a sportsgame is, in my eyes, completly ridiculous.
Sports and Christianity is a religion while CO² is not. So, it is directly related with each other.
Also, tickets and loi is similar according to many people.
We love de Kuip.
We don’t want our cathedral to be replaced, we want our cathedral to be renewed.
Always has been😌
I love how ManU appeared when Hell was mentioned at 6:45, they are the devils alrightヾ(●´∀`●) ヾ(●´∀`●) ヾ(●´∀`●)
Bro the first thumbnail was fine it was more attractive it can draw a lot of attention. Football.. the new religion
Was the name of this video changed?
I get what the premise was, but it would have been better served as an analogy. There correlation between religion and football was not causation. In fact when you look at the individual cultures of the countries and football like Latin America and Italy, the ones you mentioned, religion and football is very closely intertwined, especially Christianity and Islam from both players and fans. So trying to insinuate, that the increase in football is somehow connected to the fall in religion, while wasn't malicious it was simply a poor argument
Why did you change the thumbnail
The current stadium is collapsing glad they are getting this underway
Why do you always change the titles of your videos?
how its made' voice ? :o
Why change the name of the vid?
Athletic interest, I don't know what got into you but please be more respectful towards God, God doesn't hate sports and if he did don't underestimate the power he has.
The Americans confused, wondering why no one was picking up the ball....this killed me.
Same here 🤣🤣☠️☠️
ogs would know that this video was called “Is football becoming our new religion?”
I'm early I guess
4:46 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
8:09 god is in Hamburg!!!
As the title suggests, I thought the video would explain the differences of football stadiums between 1972 and 2022. IT DOESN'T INCLUDE ANY KIND OF EVOLUTION.
I don't really see the purpose of a wrong title here.
This doesn't feel historically accurate or even logically accurate, although it's a pretty video with a nice, soothing narrative.
First, i highly doubt the 12th century sport was called football, and although it was played by two teams with the goal of putting a ball inside a door, this doesn't mean you can call it that, or that's it even a precursor of modern football. Why not call it rugby then.
Second, modern stadiums are not representations of the city. They are usually built by foreign investors, foreign architects etc. Usually, at least in Italy, the city itself even tries to make it as hard as possible to make these stadiums happen in the first place. Even when it is a domestic attempt, like for world cups, it's usually ill suited at best, or worst detrimental to locals, like in Brazil, Russia or Qatar.
The capitalist problem of modern football, usually greatly exaggerated, is true for the stadiums, where the benefits of fans and the cities that host the stadiums is all but a fairy-tale (there may be an exemption in the Premier League, but elsewhere I'd say it's the rule).
Feyenoord has a group of fans that would never want to trade in the current stadium for a new one. I got to admit, the atmosphere is amazing there.. But it wasn't because of the fans that Feyenoord won't build a new stadium, The cost for material and workers went up soo much that Feyenoord can't afford it anymore. The expected building costs where 440 million euro.
Very weird video… I thought we were going to see the evolution of football stadiums throughout the years, instead the video jumped back and forth between different subjects and ages.
I really like your videos usually, but this one did not convince me.
Absorbed* not Abzorbed
This video is incredible but the part you said not even God can stop stadium of being the center piece of the community that false God can do anything 🙏🙏🙏🙏
what about esports, and virtual stadiums ? I think gaming is much bigger then any sport
cap💀 virtual stadiums?? tf is that go outside
