sponsor and actual content ratio is off
Zak is so great at answering a question without saying anything.
Id love ti hear him actually being open and honest and not always seeing an opportunity to be a CEO.
Hes a corporate guy thru & thru. I wonder if he even knows how to drop the boardroom tone & just be a person.
Having senna memorabilia in his office is legendary 🔥
We need a tour haha
Zak Brown is very articulate and media friendly, as a McLaren supporter I hope that one day he will achieve F1 success similar to that of Ron Dennis. Big shoes to fill.
Zakk is always a great interviewee.
We had so much fun both on and off camera!
There is no better ambassador for motorsports than Zach Brown. His energy and authenticity is refreshing.
zak*
And seeing him on track right after recording this episode. He is a true racer. ;)
Nice interview!
I didn't see much of Zak this year, which probably was a conscious decision, but I always liked his direct and straight forward look on things.
Thanks for coming on the pod Zak!
Thank you to McLaren for offering us the opportunity.
After Redbull test and qualifying Alpha Tauri in P4 would be interesting to see what Daniel could have done when McLaren got the car sorted...
We need a What If show for F1 haha
@@tracklimitspod look at Aston Martin this year with Alonso at start of season they had good pace...
The Mclaren is just that one car that wasn't meant to be. You can see by Daniel jumping back in a Red Bull and Alpha Tauri, he's back to looking mega fast again. Especially in the Red bull test, that lap he did was less than a tenth off Max's best time. He's still that guy giving the tools he needs.
Ricciardo's best is behind him.
@@Surfsaus obviously not if they put him into Redbull Reserve and Alpha Tauri drive over Lawson...
Zak Brown is so calm and collected, seems a bit calculated when he speaks haha
Zak is a liar. He signed Piastri for the 2023 seat, then let DR tell the factory that he still had the seat in 2023….while Piastri would be in it….Zak is a huge liar. That’s also why Palou nulled his contract… Zak promised him an F1 seat…but only wanted to give an Indycar seat…. zak lies to all drivers. And the thumbnail of this podcast couldn’t be more fake…..
@@Redlingstein its a business....and f1 is a brutal business ....you have to cope with that
@@Redlingstein it's reassuring to see someone else gets it. Zak Brown is no different from a used car salesman. He promises one thing to someone else and then sells that to another person without telling the first guy he missed out.
You guys had amazing progress this year, kudos to the team 👏
Thank you so much!
enjoyed tihis very much!!!! thanks!!! will be rooting for McLaren in 2024, will be visiting your channel often! Have a great holiday season and be well in 2024, greets from Netherlands
Thank you so much for the support, it really means a lot. :)
This was fun to watch!!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
I thought it was the best thing to happen for McLaren AND Danny Ric they have a great driver in Piastri and Dan is getting his MoJo back
Great show!! Super improvement, natural flow, conversationalist🎉...not as interviewish vibe.
I would of aesthetically placed polo shirt in the middle, hats on outside, alsp like the joe rogan camera set up with everyone in view. I like to watch everyones reactions
Thank you so much! Really appreciate the feedback and will incorporate it in future episodes. :)
Thank you for the interview 🙌 It's always interesting to listen to the big boss :))
Glad you enjoyed it! And anytime :)
I am shrinking part had me dead 😂😂😂
We all had a long laugh off camera about that scene hahaha
Surprised you didn't press Zak on why he was promising F1 race seats to Indycar prospects that he had no intention of bringing to F1..........
So good!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Very interesting.
I always wonder if your questions are screened when you interview certain people. The flow of your interviews are very natural in my ear as are the answers of the people you interview. I always listen to it again with video because your facial expressions make me smile when I see you guys listening so intently. The optimal geekiness and I love it. Good job again guys and dol.
I'd love for you to have a sports psychologist on your podcast to give us some insight on the crazy inner workings of an F1 driver.
Alice you are amazing! Thank you so much for being part of our community! So glad you enjoyed the episode.
@@tracklimitspod Always do. It keeps this old F1 bird sharp. I really appreciate the respectful way you approach your guests regardless of their age or occupation. It is becoming very rare these days.
Zac has completely changed the culture of that McLaren team since taking over.
I couldn't stand them or their general behavior, or trust them under Ron ... now they're team I'd most like to spend some time in.
Zac's passion, enthusiasm, and open-minded attitude is so refreshing in between the backstabbing politics of F1 team bosses ... no wonder he wouldn't want to spend time away from the track with them.
This is the kind of thing I like to find late at night when there is nothing but garbage or reruns of reruns of shows I never watched the 1st run.
Enjoy!
Hands down Track Limits is crushing motorsports podcast
Thank you so much!
Wow how did you guys get Zak on the pod 🤯
With hard work haha
Why would you give the guy with the lisp SALTY SWEET popcorn?
"It actually tastes like nothing" 😂. Great endorsement, definitely buying that popcorn...
With 10 grams of protein per bag, and no artificial flavours, can't get better than that! 😂
Definitely pit stops during the sprint race. Soft tires for sure and that’s all they can use. What about doing the circuit in reverse? Would that work because of the curbing?
Just came across your guys’ pod/channel. Was surprised to hear you were from Toronto! Would love to link up with you guys at some point for a chat! How can we make that happen? Cheers!
Hey dm us on instagram at @tracklimits :)
We need to see that eagle he got on the Netflix show
Video is pending Netflix approval haha
Mclaren is going to get a win in 2024 season for sure
Now that would be so entertaining to watch and be at the track!
I hope Danny wins in alpha tauri. And make it to redbulll ❤❤ I hope lando get his first win next year ❤
Lando getting his first win with McLaren would be iconic!
Oscar is more likely to get a f1 win before Lando imo.
The driver I want driving if I robbed a bank😊, Fernando Alonzo
Haha Fernando is one of a kind!
" I told you not to trust Zack " !!!!!!!
What is t time stamp ref Ricardo?
Thank bloke with the mouth full of marbles is hard work.
Brown dealt with Daniel very poorly in public, not nice. The teams has done well in the second half of the season and probably nothing to do with Brown but rather the efforts of Stella recent entry to team. Ive followed McLaren since Prost days, just seemed to loose class along the way.
Losing his watch in Japan 😂😂😂
And causing a police scene was too funny!
Why does Zak Brown remind me of Triple H lol, they kinda look similar also their voice is pretty similar but I think Triple H's a bit deeper
Funny Lando hadn’t been challenged but still hasn’t won a race. Yet Daniel won one race while with McLaren
As someone who has loved McLaren Zak Brown to me is the common denominator of the issues that face the team. He’s a crybaby and is always whining and trying to use the FIA as weapon against his rivals. He also speaks smoothly and says stuff like the buck stops with me and the end of the day I’m responsible but he cans others but remains in place. I seldom see this being brought up so wonder if it’s just me that sees this.
As an ozzy no hard feelings dropping daniel ricciardo it's a buisness Danny wasn't performing so yeah buy buy
McLaren should run a car in Le mans if he wants to win a triple crown Walkinshaw at WAU is interested maybe start with GT3...
they are running...united autosport that zak owns
And they are joining United Autosports in partnership with McLaren
Easy choice oscar over daniel
This season showed that they may have picked right???
@@tracklimitspod 100% oscar showed so much potential it’s ridiculous! That kid is gona get far! Mclaren better build a good car to keep him around or else he will grow somewhere else to be a champion.
Not at the start of the season - look how bad they were until they changed the car
Daniel's first year at McLaren was better than Piastris overhyped first season, Daniel missed preseason in his 2nd and had a bunch of other issues, he may not have liked how the car handled but there was a lot more going on there than just his driving.
Lol I love Daniel but the reality is he didn’t perform he chose to go McLaren and couldn’t adapt to McLaren you riccardo fanboys are one of dumbest fans in f1 community
Was with the slurring lisp guy
Why sign Bianca when Marta who won the F1 academy?
Because Martas going to FRECA and with F1 Academy each F1 constructor have their own driver so Aston Martin have Tina Hausmann (racing with Prema) Lia Block (Ken Blocks daughter) for Williams/ ART and Bianca with McLaren/ART
And I assume they Chose Bianca because she's very marketable with growing quite a following, as well as being extremely talented for an 18 year old
Bianca drove well in F1 Academy and had a large audience and with the right team can leverage it for more sponsors for Bianca.
Oh man get that guy with the lisp off the mic 😢
More like = It hurts much much more us losing Lewis Hamilton because we will never win ever win another Championship here at Mclaren like in 2007 😂😂😂
It was very diffucult for him bc he paid so much and got nothing back 🤣
Oh. He got one first place teophy for $20 mill. Hefty price
I hate this habit where people show the intro in the intro, then plays the same intro again at the beginning... the fuck is with that?
As soon as I heard that lisp i exited stage left
I can’t wait for DR beating McLaren on track in the RB20 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
cry more
Daniel and Oscar sharing podiums, but no wins for his precious little Norris...
Got Sammy sprinkler asking Zak questions 💀
Lisp
I don't trust zac 2 faced
Gez bro, stop shaking your head and say "YEAH" every time your guest says something...
Oscar WILL be better than Lando next season 👀
BOLD Take! Let's see if it happens!
Lando has already improved so much and has better race pace. I think Lando will continue to improve.
I think u could be right, theres so much more to come from Oscar 💪👊
F1 Academy superstar? Come on mate. Nobody would know any of those drivers if F1 teams weren’t signing them. I doubt any of them would get good results in F3 or F2 either.
Bianca before F1 Academy had a massive audience. Just because she wasn't on your social timeline doesn''t mean she was a rising star.
So deflecting and not actually explaining what happened with Daniel doesn't address any of the opinions out there.
that was on purpose
What happened to him is that he cost the team many many points by being too slow, they gave him 2 years, they needed to move on
Not really enlightening. It'd be good to know specifics. "Form" is quite an interesting topic when it comes to sports... was it performance, was it a technical limitation? Was it culture? Why do an interview and then not share a single insight - except, "everyone is wrong and don't know"@@ericcartman4923
That's enlightening of you. That's an outcome perspective, but specifics would be more interesting, than just "everyone else was wrong, and it was really hard". Was it form? Was it something technical? Clearly DR needed a break and has come back into some better form, so as head of McLaren, how do you create a culture that ensures the pressure doesn't have this impact on your drivers? It's not just "he was slower" - clearly he was slower (although not that easy a view, given you have to rule out how many technical issues he experienced over Lando - so it's not a simple black and white thing).@@orio_3
@LincolnRobinson ricciardo was clearly slower in almost every way with or without technical issues. As for specifics, the specifics are that Ricciardo couldn't adapt and drive the McLaren. That's not McLarens fault, because they've had 3 other driver's who could drive that car in Norris, Piastri and Sainz. This is a business, if he's not bringing the team results and in turn is costing them constructors standing points then, they had to move on.
The popcorn advert was so lame. 'I discovered them' - just own it; they approached you to sponsor them. Stop trying to make it sound like an organic promotion and just own it.
We are avid users and we won't promote anything we would use in our daily lives. 🙌
The lips is killing me for a whole podcast
The Q1, Q2 and Q3 format and the "purple sectors" comment at the end of the sections is by far the most cringe thing I've ever seen/heard on a podcast. Also the questions are sooooo generic, no creativity or originality whatsoever. What a wasted opportunity
Thanks for giving us a shot! :)
Thank you for the feedback. Could have been more constructive but thanks.
@@tracklimitspod that's a fair point and I apologise for the tone of my comment.
Zak is full of hot air. My gosh, he signed Piastri behind DR’s back, let DR tell the factory that he would be in the seat in 2023 WHILE ALREADY SIGNED PIASTRI FOR 2023…… Zak is a HUGE LIAR!!!!! Palou didn’t change his mind for nothing, Zak promised HIM an F1 seat…..but only wanted to give him an Indycar seat. Zak lies…… and this headline abt DR is fake……..
He paid 30M+ to get customer Mercedes engines and 20M+ to sideline Ricciardo both work better in a Redbull...
He is not an honourable man at all.
Many times Zak went on record with the press saying Daniel will be driving for McLaren in 2023. All while knowing full well that was not the case at all. And no one in the F1 media has pulled him up on that. No one.
As soon as the first thing you did was advertise a vpn product before even getting into the podcast I was out…. Before you say it I’m a CZcams premium subscriber, I pay for it so I don’t have to sit through ads, so to do ads before even any content sucks
Zak, you ruined Daniels career so you should fee bad!
no afterall f1 is a business....you need to do what you need to do
Regardless, Daniel looks like he is doing well at AlphaTauri
Daniel ruined his own career by leaving redbull for money and the fact he couldn't handle max being superior. He found out that he wasnt as good as his ego thought he was.
