You can get those at any good 'head shop' it is just a butane torch.
My advice, go to a hardware store and get one that is meant for use in a "shop" but this might be to big for pocket use.
NEVER buy one marketed for cooking, they are overpriced re-skinned torches from the hardware store with less tip attachments, (for soldering, wood burning, "heat gun" etc incase you dont want a direct/open flame.) And probably a proprietary refueling valve that demands you buy their 'brand' of butane.
So basically, Bill Doran's way if you do not have a direct access to the key, and the LockPickingLawyers method if you have direct access.
Brian: There could be evidence!
LockPickingLawyer: Not if you did it right *throws clean keys on the table*
That's how someone in locksport drops the mic.
âOn the next episode of Modern Rogue, weâre going to show you how to disable a home security alarm!â
Asbestos Fish itâs stupidly easy. Some old ones you can just grab the house phone and spam the numbers, this will change the number the system is trying to dial.
On LPL's channel he has a video on disabiling a wireless security system.

I've been waiting for that as well
"The Modern Rogue can get into your building."
Yes!
I was just thinking of his key duplicating/pen testing talks.
Theyâre already impressed with lock picking lawyer Deviant Ollam will probably blow their mind.
As Deviant showed in one of his videos you can prevent airbubbles in the key by carving a tiny little channel from the tip of the mold, so the trapped air can escape and allow the liquid metal to fill all of the mold. After the cooldown you can cut off the little spike from the channel.
I just did this today, worked like a charm. The most important thing to do before trying your key is to check for any burrs or bits that stick out, and sand/file them off. It's extremely important to remove any and all burrs from the jagged side of the key where the bitting is, because otherwise the key *will* get stuck. Mine got stuck the first time, and I was able to remove it using a peterson mini knife from my lock picking set. I also highly recommend purchasing one of those before trying this, just in case you get your key stuck. Getting it out is super easy, plus the mini knife is an amazing multipurpose bypass and decoding tool.

First step is convincing a girl to let you spread sculpy/modeling clay on her private area. But if you can do that, why do you need a metal girlfriend in the first place?

Love both the channels! You can really tell a channel thats "hands based" just from lpl gestures are so precise.
Nobody:
Me: I'm about to invest into this technology to duplicate mail keys
*STONKS*
bruuuh i was thinking the same thing with my mail key ! XD
Careful with that. Copying a random key isn't going to land you in much hot water legally (possesion of burglary tools maybe?) But it's entirely possible to run afoul of USPIS by copying mail keys. Do not mess with USPIS. They're like the IRS but didn't get emasculated by Scientology.
All I want is just one more video with LPL explaining things like security pins, drill resistant pins, basically all things made to make locks more secure (and most importantly, how to defeat these measures anyway, because there is no such thing as a pick-proof lock).
Ever since I started watching LPL I've got myself 2 new bikes a new car new tv and a safe (filled with cash) thanks man!
If you heat up the mold before pouring in the metal, youâll get a perfect cast with no flaws. The problem with pouring hot metal into a cold mold is that the metal wants to solidify as soon as it hits the mold in some spots. I use this tip with my castings at home and they come out super clean
Now theyâve got to do a bullet casting episode. Fairly easy to learn and super satisfying
onafixedincome flyfishing or just fishing in general would be a good episode

"Molten Metal"....... RIP injury counter...
Well, Wood's metal melts at about 70 °C, so it's probably less dangerous than a cup of tea.
@@TJStellmach ...You think that the Modern Rogue can't reset the injury counter with a cup of tea?
I poked some molten pewter once.
the clamp on the key cast serves double duty not only keeping the mold upright and tightly sealed, but it gets your hand out of the way, as well :)
LPL:deviant ollam could get get in your building easily
Me:Bish youâve picked house door locks in like 10 seconds
He's picked door locks on his table, held conveniently for him by a vice, and with no pressure on him in 10 seconds. I'm not saying he isn't good, but some of his picks would be considerably harder for him in a real world scenario.

2 of my favorite channels uniting to teach the masses how to: crime. Beautiful.
That moment when you come here thinking youâll see LPLâs Face Reveal
He knows better. While he isn't practicing any longer, he still holds his law license. I'm sure some people recognize his voice and know it's Harry, but actually coming out as a guy teaching people how to potentially break laws could get him disbarred.
LPL got me into locksport and high powered rifles. Odd combo, but his squire lock shootout episode with Bosnian Bill is awesome.
As soon as I saw the hands along with the title of the video, I knew LPL would be in it. Haha. Nice hands channel impression guys. (Pun intended)
LPL's dry humour responses to the Rogues' jokes really adds something special.
I saw a version of this where a steel key blank was cut down past the teeth and put into the mold before any metal was poured (in this case it was a fairly hard lead alloy, I believe they were wheel weights). They didn't fuse together, but they were a perfect match that could then be attached with superglue. The casting interfaced with the pins and the steel took the strain of turning the cylinder.
Well that's neat top see crossover with LPL! Hope we see some more like it in future

Here's a tip. Use rosin cored lead/tin solder wire. Throw that into your edc together with a butane soldering iron/torch.
Far easier to explain away than weird metal alloys etc.
That method really is disgustingly easy. You don't even have to retreat after a picture like the 3D printing example. You can just go to a closet somewhere for the process. You can return the key in seconds, and have your own ready to go in minutes.

Now I want an episode on bullet casting and black powder guns
"What I'm doing here is using a small rod"
Yeah same bro :(
One could use gallium. Its melting point is lower than the human body but above typical room temp. You can melt it by holding it. It's soft and as a key you cannot use it with your hand. However if you work fast you could make a cast and then cut a new blank. Same process but no heat source needed. If you work in a cold environment you maintain the solid state. There are numerous alloys of gallium for specific melting points. Wood's metal also contains about 25% lead, not as bad as cadmium but has its toxicity concerns too. If you see a good price for Field's metal it's probably Wood's metal. Field's is expensive. It contains indium instead of lead and cadmium, costly stuff.
I wonder if a cast could be made with water. Fill with water, freeze it, ice key. Have to work fast or in freezing environment. Nice thing would be if it breaks in the lock it won't matter. Clamp in key duplicator smashes it?
Wonderful work lads!

Is there a way to manufactute a key from the lock it would go to? Like using hot wax or something to make a mold and then extracting it and making a mold around that and then casting the metal key in that second mold?
Did Jason just make a Dresden Files reference? Auntâs jewelry into bullets is awfully specific
Either that or Stephen Kings Silver Bullet.
Alternatively you could eat the Wood's metal and burn it for an allomantic time bubble so you have all the time you need to pick the lock.
