    I always soak the peanuts a night before and use a pressure cooker. Why does it always turn out bitter and oily?

    i cooked 50 min high pressure natural release directly in the pot. no salt no nothing else. turned out about right.
    you cooked only 12 min high pressure natural release pot in pot.
    if i had cooked 12 min, peanuts would have been like rocks. unbelievable.

      Depends on age of peanuts. More the age more the cooking time. If you soak, cooking time reduces as well.

    I’ve pressure cooked a lot more than what I needed. Can this be frozen in ziplock bags? Wonder how long they stay fresh ?

    • @SubbuCooks
      @SubbuCooks  Před 4 lety +3

      Yes you can freeze them 👍 it will stay good for upto 6 months easily. Make sure to drain all the liquid. Remove all the air from ziplock bag.

    • @shivaroyal1437
      @shivaroyal1437 Před 4 lety +1

      Draining em is the tough part indeed. I tried using hair drier,🤓 but there’s still some residue left. Hopefully that tiny amount won’t spoil the party.

      Age of the peanut refers to how old the peanut is. Similar to aged basmati rice. If you don't know the term/context then you don't have to post your ignorant comment here.
