- In this video, Nicole shows you how to make boiled peanuts over the stove! This recipe only requires raw peanuts, salt, and boiling water. After washing the peanuts, add them to the pot with the salt and water. Boil them for three hours until they’ve softened. Turn the heat off, cover the pot with a lid, and let them soak for a couple of hours at least. They’re rich, soft, and only get better with time!

I love boiled peanuts! I agree, a mushy one from time to time is a prize. I normally get my boiled peanuts from Farm Frank's in Suffolk Virginia. And being in peanut country they sell green peanuts for a brief time during peanut harvest for us diehard boiled peanuts fans. Thanks for peaking my appetite, now I have to go on up and get me some!
Thanks for watching! Check out the recipe here: www.allrecipes.com/recipe/17551/boiled-peanuts/
When I make boil peanuts I put Hawaiian salt or rock salt and I put 4 or 5 star anise in the pot and you will have a flavorful boiled peanuts and I'm from Hawaii and Hawaii people enjoy the boiled peanuts goes great with beer Mahalo ! All recipes
I've done them in the crock pot. So easy, and so yum !!!
So grateful for this video! I am originally from South Carolina, grew up in Atlanta, but have lives in San Diego, CA for 32 years now. I needed this recipe! Thanks a ton!
Great video! Clear and easy to follow with helpful suggestions. Thank you!
62 now, but I lived in Georgia 4 years when Dad was stationed there. I was 3-7 years old and he'd make them or buy boiled peanuts from time to time, and I LOVED them! Living in Colorado now and can only get the canned boiled peanuts, but I saved this video to try it soon.
I ordered 50# bag of Virginia dry, raw Peanuts off the internet. I'm sure there's smaller sizes but I went crazy!😄
People from Hawaii love boiled peanuts, but we cook them Chinese style with star anise in the water. In the old days (50s and 60s), ¨peanut ladies¨ used to sit outside of the local stadium and sell bags of ¨dry boil¨ or ¨wet boil¨ peanuts before high school football games. $.25 a bag. I love the wet boiled peanuts the best with a coke on the side to wash them down. I was shocked when I lived in Georgia in the 70s to find that it was also loved there; but they grow them there so it was a natural.
Yummy! I love fresh boiled peanuts.
I love boiled peanuts! My local gas station has a hot and spicy version, SO good!
What state?
Never heard of them before I moved to the south. Gave them a try and have to say they must be an acquired taste.
Bet you hate grits too🤣
@@Chris-nw5lk yep!
@@suz0000I agree, grits are terrible but boiled peanuts? Woo! One of my favorites.
Love me some boiled peanuts. Yes Ma'am. They are worth the wait.
I’ve tried it and it’s definitely in my opinion an acquired taste
Thank you!
Don’t shoot me but I cannot stand boiled peanuts whereas my hubby who was born n raised in Mississippi ( Summit, McComb and Tylertown ) absolutely loves them beyond words. 😊😊
I’m with you. I can’t stand boiled peanuts either. They’re like someone has already had them in their mouth and the shell is full of their spit. Gross.
I'll try it out for sure 😋😋😋😋
Thank you dear😊
No way!!!!!!!!!!! I love boiled peanuts!!!!!! 😋

Boiled nuts are always a good idea 👍
Boiled peanuts seems like such an alien concept to me, having only ever eaten them raw or fire roasted.
They certainly look very appetizing I must say
They're so delicious and addicting! 🤤
I love bowled peanuts, down to my last bag in the freezer.
Love me some boiled peanuts! I add hot sauce to them too.
YUM!!
I never had peanuts cooked. Must try it.
I have some dry raw peanuts I just picked up…. I also add hot sauce to my water. Sometimes a creole salt .
Yum
Looks tasty 😱😱😱😱
Born and raised California girl, NEVER had a boiled peanut!
Born & raised here too. I have tried them. They're terrible
You don't know what you are missing.
California girl here too, but moved to Alabama last year. Tried them but just can’t stand them. Yuk!
😂😂@@RobertaReal7980
I LOVE LOVE boiled peanuts. We use a pressure cooker to speed it up.
When we first moved to the West Coast in the 70s the only way we got boiled peanuts was when our family visited from Alabama or Florida. As a child that was a terribly stressful wait time between visits and we fought over those cans😂
I moved to south Georgia when I was a kid. There was so many weird things people said, did, and especially ate. I still remember the first time I saw a boiled peanut. It’s was all slimy and weird. I hated it. But after a while, I started to love them.
V nice 👍🏻
Can you use á stovetop pressure cooker,,? Who has three hours?
I poured a bottle of tabasco sause in mine.
Here in Canada, we are not familiar with soft peanuts. I can't wait to try this because of almost the "brined" aspect of it, but I really wonder how much the crispyness and crunchiness aspect so good of peanuts will be missed...
Not at all 😂
What about peeled one we use the same methods.
here is another tip , boil your peanuts all day long , then put them in the fridge over night they will suck up all the seasonings then in in the morning boil them again all day and you will have a more flavorful peanut
Oh Nicole I am so glad you enjoy boiled peanuts. Please help yourself to my share. I'm just not that hungry. Ha ha
Thanks for sharing Love me some boil Peanuts Hot!
So they just like the salted peanuts you get it a packet?
I have seen so much on the internet about the benefits of boiled peanuts for diabetes. Do you have a boiled peanut and rum recipe for me. I can't seem to find one
I have a bag of roasted peanuts that are too hard to bite thru. How can I make them soft without boiling them?
Have you tried these in the crock pot
The last time I had peanuts is when I was at a baseball game some years ago. Lol
I tried boiled peanuts once.. I'm broken now. Yuck!!! 😂
Would this work with roasted peanuts ?
No
Why not put them in the crockpot?
I love boiled peanuts rather than those fried, roasted or coated peanuts
Can they be pressure cooked?
Yes
Thank you,I got tired of buying them from the local gas stations.❤
raw nuts need to be soaked 24 hours less cooking time. Also, taste better. Next, a stovetop or crockpot is a waste of time when you want them now. electric pressure cooker cuts time in half.
If your Web-Chef starts his/her boil without "Green" peanuts out of the field. ...one can not recover.
Want a sweet version
What is a bunch of salt? Be specific.
🤣😂 I thought the same thing. This comment is so funny. I laughed so hard lol.
You could have streamed the top layer.
Never done "boiled" peanuts. Do they require more than 7 natural teeth to process them for consumption? lol....I am at the pre-denture state in my life....$$!.....but, I SOOOOO! miss eating peanuts....vs. peanut butter 😒
Did she say succulent? That's a funny word.
Cooker lo petti cheyochukadara bujji gantalu gantalu enduku
This is also a traditional Chinese snack🤣
I wanna hear more about the bikini.........
Just put in pressure cooker it will done in 5 minutes 😂 15 hours wtf are you cooking rocks?💀💀
THROW THE SHELLS OUT THE CAR
WINDOW????
Why ?
Too much salt. You need to get them out of the water as soon as they're done. They taste better if you don't put that much salt or no salt at all. Yum
One of the most disgusting disappointing excuses for "food" imaginable
