Brady is not only a really good disc golfer, he's a really nice guy. It was great to root for his last weekend, and to see him have some amazing success with some of the best ever disc golfers. Go Brady!
i guess Im kind of randomly asking but do anyone know a good website to stream newly released series online ?
So proud watching you go toe to toe with the GOATS! You've got the skills, Brady. Keep plugging and you'll get your full tournament breakthrough.
Smooth stepper by Och !!
Let’s go! Always love being able to watch Brady Och! We’ll be seeing his name a lot more frequently in the near future! 🔥
That dude Brady is so smooth!
Brady Och is an absolute HUNK 🥵
Love that form check part!!! More please!
I love the new intro. Early 90s vibes are my jam.
Paul’s miss on hole 5 was a glitch in the matrix
It literally looks like it fell through the bottom of the basket
@@tylerp6195 I know right!!
I like the fast drone fly overs!
Best part of the coverage lol
Thanks for your coverage, guys. Made my weekend even better
Wld love to see more course like this on tour!
Brady is an absolute smoke show. Would be my dream to caddy for him.
The rewind noise was classic. I wonder how many of the players on the course have never used a VHS
hole 1, mcbeths putt, great focus shift
Nice Coverage! it's possible to make versions without commentary? Only sounds of nature and players
Enjoyed the coverage. Nice commentary.
this is a fascinating location on top of a mountain. very cool.
F in the chat for the ground on hole 8, or Paul's hand.
27 yo Legend...legendary!!
I'm pretty sure that concrete was more afraid of Paul after that shot! I would not want to have been that ground!
Alden is from GA
Aj Risley needs more mic time. The smooth voice, the professional attitude. And just enough of the facepalm dad jokes 😂😂
As his dad, I thank you for the implied compliment.
@@allenrisley817 you have created one funny funny man Allen! And I hope it brings joy knowing this comment came from a big AJ Risley fan over here in Australia! Much love
If AJ gets more mic time Gatekeeper’s views will drop like crazy
@@zbeecher1636 .....? He does a great job. That's some pretty harsh bias there.
@@gitbse ur whole original comment is all bias and u have the nerve to call someone that disagrees bias..yikkes
Eagle hurt his hand punching the ground. Just say no to ground punching, kids.
Not that anyone cares or that any disc golfer besides nikko would call someone out for it, but Brady's step putts on hole 7 and hole 3 seem like foot faults. If you go frame by frame, his back foot is off the ground before the disc leaves contact with his hand. You can move frame by frame with the < and > keys
point being, like every other sport - disc golf needs referees on each card for tourneys
14:42 Static, not stoic, guys. Cheers, D.
Let's get it on...lol
Mcbeth long putt is unreal
That's why he's called "McBeast" because he can drain 115ft puts without breaking a sweat
From Tennessee?
Lol. Yea, Alden is from Ga
That spit out on #2 was pretty bad!
Gatekeeper! Doesn't matter what you call it you don't need a cool name like nomez/slomez but you guys need to do replays just call it spit out rewind or something
Never seen Paul get mad like that. Crazy.
Brady Ochs form is really strange in slow motion.
19:38 My guess is mild gastrointestinal distress.
@gatekeepermedia Brady is a former ultimate frizbee player thats why he has such a great variety and touch with his shots.
Corn holes
Brady Och the best sports medicine professional to ever play disc golf. Change my mind.
9:42 When slowed down and paused it sure looks like his foot is hitting the ground while the disc is just coming out. Anyone else notice that?
It’s a clean stroke paused it multiple times and looks good
Most of the step putts I see on tour appear to be on the correct side of the coin (though barely), and this one appears to be on the wrong side of the coin (though barely). The rule requires his anchor point remain on the ground until the disc is released, and that's debatable here, but it's so close that you have to give the player the benefit of the doubt. It's something that will never be called until there are officials on the greens (which isn't likely to happen). Same thing with foot faults. They happen a lot and don't get called because of the way the game is officiated. *shrugs. Either way, it's awesome every time someone makes one!
I find it interesting that step putts are always much more scrutinized than jump putts. It's probably because the foot hitting in front is more noticeable than the back foot leaving the ground. Honestly I am more confident in the legality of my step putt than that of my jump putt. In learning this new putting style (I started working on it in November) I'd say I am confident that the front foot is not hitting before the disc leaves my hand (it is close in this video). The back foot leaving the ground is close to simultaneous with the disc leaving the hand, but it has never been noticably earlier in any video I have taken or seen of it. I hope you enjoyed the video. It was fun playing with some icons of the sport.
Looks like you have it right on time. With the way rules are called there's no reason to call a fault. Second jump putt on 7 demonstrates again that the release and the back foot leaving the ground are simultaneous. One frame the disc releases and back foot leave the ground and the next the front foot. hits. Clean stroke.
@@bradyoch6208 First of all: bravo for making this card. I enjoyed watching you and hope to see you on coverage a lot more often. I'm using this one instance of step-putting as an opportunity to continue the controversial conversation about the legality of step putts.
In my understanding of the rule, the disc must leave your hand while you "Have at least one supporting point that is in contact with the lie (i.e., the ground, in this case)". If the disc leaves your hand at the same time your foot leaves the ground then how can you say your foot was on the ground when the disc left your hand? Simultaneous is a stance violation, imo. I've watched this many times and have to admit that the resolution is not good enough to be sure. Best-case interpretation of this clip is that the tip of your toes are still "in contact" with the ground/grass when the disc leaves your hand. But I still think I could argue that the tip of your toes in the grass during a jump does not constitute a "supporting point". The jump and step putts are questionable because it's hard to argue that you're supporting yourself with your foot if the disc leaves while your supporting point is in the process of jumping off the ground. The nature of a jump is that you're not longer supporting yourself on the ground, right?
All that being said, I like the jump putt. I jump putt when I play. I think they're cool, and exciting, and let people drain awesome putts from distance. I think it makes a 33' putt easier than a 32.8' putt. I think the PDGA could easily address this issue by addressing the popular throwing mechanic directly in a Q&A session. One of my questions would be, "How does a player call a stance violation on a step / jump putt?" And if the PDGA doesn't have an answer to that question then the rules need to be addressed, imo.
Anyway, I hope you and others are enjoying the discussion, and I hope my criticism of this one putt is not taken to be an attack on you. It's not. You're great!
If you are a fan of a player and you see them punch the ground with their throwing hand, its hard to not get pissed at them! Seriously though, when's the last time Paul has taken 4 bogeys in 3 holes smdh
AJ is getting a little sus with the quick salty water spit out comment....
Brady’s putts are borderline illegal if u watch in slomo
surprised no one called him on the putt at 22:28, idk maybe it's easier to tell in person, but from what I can see he needs to work on making his timing more obviously legal. dude is cutting it pretty close on some of those steppers
First?
You won!!!
Punching anything is pointless and completely counterproductive. It's disc golf karma. My 10 year old now thinks its okay to lose his shit and punch and kick stuff. Thanks Paul
better work on that step putt form...i don't understand how players confuse what is legal with the step putt. (Think of the jump putt.) With a step putt the disc must leave the players hand prior to your foot touching the ground ahead of the lie. its not that hard to do it legally !! C'Mon !
There is a reason GK Pro gets way more views and way more subs. This commentary is truly awful.
I have mixed feelings. Love Brian on there, but not so much with AJ. I feel he tries too hard to be funny. I think Brian and Nate Perkins have a good balance, but the others they've tried have not been as good a partner with Brian. $.02
Never trust a guy with long hair
Does anybody else cringe at virtually all the Innova commercials? They must have the same person doing it for years, because they’ve been terrible and cringed for the longest time
