i love AJ, but that is not a good way to think about golf.
He’s not wrong, some people after taking a bogey or even a double early on it helps them not be as tense because what they’re scared of is out of the way

Paul could have easily been 9 or 10 down in the front half. And if he kept his momentum going from what he did on the back half, he could have been tied for first or even won the tournament... he just didn't make 4 putts that he should have made for sure
