Chris, have you tried adjusting the trigger? On my gun, which you have used, I had to fit a longer adjustment screw to obtain a lighter trigger with less creep. It is now on a par with my BSA R10SE. As supplied, it is not good, but an excellent gun after tuning.

To anyone reading this, Jon is an absolute legend and one of the best shooting practitioners I have ever seen. Right, I totally understand what you say here, but rather than me start modifying a gun that I am being loaned, I think it would be best if I just kept it stock and don't modify it in any way... The new owner can do that if they wish. I was actually thinking about your gun when I made this, but I didn't want to over complicate things in this review. Thank you for taking the time to comment! See you soon!

@@southwestshooters I think that many shooters do not realise just how important a good trigger release is for accuracy. Not just on air rifles, but shotguns and centre fires too. There is nothing worse, in my view, than a heavy trigger with a lot of creep. Thankfully most triggers on (modern) air guns can be tuned.

Another great review, and very helpful. Currently looking to get into airgun shooting and am not wanting to make an expensive mistake on my first purchase; am finding your reviews really helpful. I Just started taking my son to Crackshot for his DofE and found your channel through them; both brilliant!

You are very welcome Trevor! In my opinion an air arms would be the make to look for. If you can get an S400 or s500 series you would have a fantastic start. Check out the one in my most recent video.... Its awesome. Thanks for the message.

I really like they give u the fillprobe adapter and that great silencer. We have strange laws here in Austria (no silencers allowed without a hunting license) and the Cojote is a very loud gun.
You are right with the trigger but for that money you always have to deal with some weeknesses. The Cojote was my first step into the PCP world and i had lots of fun with it. Thought about selling it but decided to keep it as a backup if my FX has some issues or my son or a buddy want to shoot it. (Just an excuse, i have 4 PCP‘s and several Springers etc.) 😂😂😂

Hi, I have a question. Are you located in the UK because in our country they only sell the 5.5 (.22) version because the rifle has 40Joules muzzle energy so 4.5mm hits the sound barrier... Is this Coyote less powerful than 40J? Thanks and sorry for my poor English

I bought this gun as a package from McAvoy's in Wigan but upgraded the gamo scope for a Hawke 3-9x40 AO mil dot, it was however supplied with a BSA 644 silencer, which is in my opinion quieter than the Hugget, I've tried both I have the synthetic stock version which I find more practical

Got a few huggets , find the shorty ones a bit disappointing , probably good looks over function I recon .. got a couple of what id describe as " normal size " huggets , and performance is a lot better ... all in all , you'd be pushed too beat a weihrauch silencer ...

On a bit of a tangent here , but these " air strippers " you get on some rifles , I just cannot get them to work properly , so I generally stick em in the cupboard and replace with a silencer .. the Mrs's CLX came with some weird end piece , definitely not a air stripper ,and can hardly be described as a barrel weight ... Dunno what BSA were thinking

  • @markhomer5704

Mmmmmm interesting , I know its a bit late now , as the vids been released , but HOW much worse is the next pellet down in accuracy? I think this is ( fairly ) important when choosing a rifle , especially if required for hunting , im definitely nit knocking this test rifle , as I don't know how much of a " single type " gun it is , ive got one of these anomalies , it the R10 .. try as I might , I just couldn't find a back up pellet too suite , and although I dont hunt any more ., .I though it would be important too find one ... THEN a break through ( and this was solely for my piece of mind ) I came across the H&N Baracuda FT , the " FT " is important , I really dont put a great deal of faith in any H&N pellets .. this particular one is ( for me ) a game changer ... ok , in the R10 its what id say is " adequate " around 15mm c-c ( actually probably a little more most of the time ) at 30mtrs ... ( just to elaborate a little more , these FT's are superb in the bantam sniper HR ( actually bought the aforementioned pellet specifically for my brocock , due to cycling in the magazine , as well as accuracy ) and in the RTI Prophet .. surely there has to be something out there ( other then biz mags ) to suite the Gamo ... which I understand ( correct me if im wrong ) is an hammer forged barrel , made up here in the mids ... trigger wise , I cant comment at all ( bet your thinking , thank **** for that ) but at budget gun prices I would imagine some compromises have to me made , both in mechanism & build .. im NOT saying its a bad gun , just being realistic .. personally , I would like to own it .. not only shoots well , but looks attractive also .. and a budget busting bargain to boot ... carry on the great vids .. good interesting stuff ... a plus being , some good debates / comments & discussion in the comment section ..
