bought one a couple of months back in .177, took some time to find a pellet that gives consistant results and the 4.51 8gr works well at the 30m range i shoot at (JSB Diabolo pellets). bar the odd flyer the gun will group within a 1.1/4 dia inch circle with the whole 14 shot magazine. with 200bar on the dial i got 16 magazines worth of air without having to make any sight aim off adjustments, get down to below about 130 bar and the pellet will begin to drop. the trigger is a bit stiff compared to more expensive guns but it is two stage pull that once you take up the slack let off is quite crisp with little sideways drift. got a Hawke scope and a weihrauch moderator fitted at purchase, the latter item is a must as it is loud without it. the hand grip is full in the hand(i have large hands) and the cylinder in the stock gives it a really good wide cheek rest which i do like, comfortable even after a full sessions shooting. being left handed the sidelever cocking handle is no problem but i do wish it was possible to load the magazine into the rifle from the left as well instead of just the right side only as now. the safety is in a good position too. i was dubious at first that the relatively short barrel would be accurate at 30m but it has surprised me once the pellet match up took place, for the money it has been a good gun so far.

I have had a rm8 , istill have a s200, both in .177 , the s200 runs rings around the rm8 , you obviously where not useing the right pellet for the s200, at that distance my s200 can put pellet on pellet, and for God's sake get a stable shooting platform not a wobbly old table , then your reports might be a little more credible,

My 45 year old Webley Vulcan springer barrel (had it from new) has Never been cleaned. I can still "Geld" a proverbial Gnat at 30 yards. That's because it's a Proper piece of good old fashioned, British Engineering. 🚒

In FAC the Daystate guns are better , less tuning and more reliable. In Sub 12 there is nothing in it I would have said. I would however say that a shooting bench might help your groupings some what .

Because it was the KT100 and not the full length which has near double the shot count. But it's fairly heavy vs the KT.

I have got groupings as good if not better from my living room into the garden, resting on a wind up wooden stool, a pouffe and a couple of cushions resting the barrel on a sun chair. Who needs high tech lol

The ATG vixen is the only ones I’ve seen they all have 2 things in common 1) they’re accurate even lesser skill shooters will hit +75 yard 28mm targets, 2) the 3 I have seen have been reliable as in zero issues.

I don’t think the choice of pellets was a fair test as that particular S200 doesn’t seem to like those pellets. I shoot AA diabolo field 8.4gr out of my S200 and regularly get 10mm groups at 25m. Given the right pellet you would see much different results from the S200

It's a good optic, but since it costs the same as my MTC King Cobra, I chose the 5-25x50 because it was more worth it.

Just an FYI “New Old Stock” means brand new and un used old stock as in not current production or previous season, not very good condition used.

I’m sorry but I didn’t see anything in this video that convinced me to buy a DW. For the money I could buy an impact or wildcat and a nice scope. And have better accuracy and precision.

Great review-well done guys! Love Weihrauch rifles and have two spring HW but my Daystate Renegade is probably thee most accurate rifle I’ve ever owned and without bragging I’ve owned quite a few PCP rifles. My HW spring rifles are keepers and my Renegade is staying with me forever!

The daystate with the electronic mechanism are better than the hw100. Whisper quiet

I've seen reviews with more bells and whistles and reviews that were more entertaining, but that wasn't what I was looking for at all when I typed in walther rm8 vs bsa ultra clx. I've been looking at both recently (having not shot or even held either) and whilst innately knowing they would exhibit comparably similar performances i didn't think that i would actually be able to find a direct comparison on CZcams, being that they are both effectively middle range guns for their respective brands in terms of pricing and features. Thank you for the clear, concise, no bullshit review. A little bit more info on the guns would have been appreciated, but im aware of the specs already and for what I was looking for, that wasn't really needed.

I would like to suggest the fact that this gun was so pellet fussy is maybe the reason it was up for sale. My own .177 prosport was very very accurate and not pellet fussy at all. At 30 yards it would produce one hole groups all day long in fact it was so predictable it became a bit of a bore to shoot. My own shooting abilities are really only average so the fact that this gun performs so well is down to the gun not my shaky old arms.

Great video! Nevertheless, it's crazy to see India manufactured pcp air rifle which is unregulated(.177 cal) at a price tag of about 250USD, with a little tweak can shoot as good as high end pcp like Daystate and Fx here. I'm talking about Px100, India manufactured pcp

Informative video, thank-you. The Lothar Walther barrels on my Air Arms rifles like JSBs. My BSA does not. Best pellet I have tried in my BSA is BSA Gold Star. I suggest two pellets as a "universal" offering: QYS streamlined (9.56 grain) and H&N Baracuda (10.65 grain). These shoot well in all my rifles, just not the absolute best in each. As ever, your mileage may vary. 😀
