Damn, this is really sad though, honestly. Owner's seem like they want to retire. Son is only here to help his parents so he is completely unmotivated to do anything. Chefs are in the dark about it, but also don't seem like they're able to do very much anyway. Just sad to see the demotivation of people kill something great.

Yeah, it really is. It's not your stock case of a delusional owner that thinks they are a God in the Kitchen. It's not a run-down disgusting pig-sty masquerading as a restaurant or hotel. It's not some greedy snake or lazy idiot that has no idea what they are doing, or only wants to rob their own employees. It's honest folk that put their time in and just want to be able to put it down, but they can't. Normally, I feel a seething hatred for the owners of Hotel Hell or Kitchen Nightmares...With with this case, I don't. I just feel sad for them.

Yeah, what this family needed was a grief therapist, ten years on and they all are still so haunted. You just see it in how vacant they are. And honestly, people pick up on that, likely why nobody wants to stay there.I get the impression that they just hold on to that place to feel close to their dead son.

If you're going to label something as 'the good wine', it should not come out of a box. While I do agree that boxed wine isn't necessarily bad, it is still different enough from bottled wine that it shouldn't be labeled as 'the good wine'.
That's like comparing freshly squeezed orange juice to premade bottled versions. The pre-bottled OJ isn't bad, but it's nowhere near as good as the fresh stuff and most everyone will agree on what the good stuff really is.

It's not so much that he hates frozen food. He usually, almost infuriated, hates when these establishments use frozen food because they're suppose to play up using their local resources. And in an age where poultry, vegetables, fundamental foodstuffs can be logistically brought fresh or grown locally something like serving frozen wings is just sad, complacent, and food quality poor.

I've been there a few times throughout my life, because my grandma lives 20 minutes away, and their food is alright now. I don't remember from when I was younger, but I remember buying souvenirs there.
