      How did you get this box before it was released? Did GW send you the boxed set for free or did you pay for it? I just really need to know. GW cancelled my order for this, and the reason given was they didn't have enough copies. But I see all these CZcams channels with copies of this boxed set that hasn't been released. So, please let me know. Thx.

      Could you do a video on painting white armour specifically Adepta Sororitas Order of the Sacred rose?
      As traditionally white armour was one of the hardest (with old Citadel paints), so i wish to know a way of painting white armoured sisters using the new paints that looks good.

I've been using carroburg crimson to shade the outside of my habit. However, I was going over ALL of it. NIce looking model. Darrn Lantham has a nice tip for finishing black armor, he did what you did but finished it off with a glass of terradon turquoise diluted contrast paint. Would you ever concider mixing paints? If you are painting a lot of models, then the number of paints you use is expensive but will also take a very long time to paint say 40 sisters for a brigade. I have a mountain of GW paints, but am moving more towards what Marco Frision does on his channel - he uses high pigment Kimera Kolors, he can get any colour he wants from the one wet-palette, worth checking his channel out too. I never know whether to try to push a brush in or paint prior to putting it on a base but this takes ages and adds lots of interim processes. Are you just leaving the very innermost parts of the cloth black? Im not being critical, the model looks great and I will be plagiarising this heavily when I get mine on xmas day! Thanks

    I am going insane trying to paint all those little details like the fleurs. I am using the thinnest brush I have and I still smudge and smear it into an ugly mess. If I use as little paint as possible, it feels like the paint doesnt stick, so I use a little more and then it smears because its too mush.
    It's all just down to me being an inexperienced idiot at this but nonetheless frustrating. I really need to figure out how to make smooth surfaces that don't crinkle and lump.

    • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  Před 4 lety +2

      Hey you're not an idiot :) sometimes the smallest brush isn't always the best solution - it's all aboit the tip
      Smaller brushes have less of a well for paint which means that by the time you get to the mini the paint on the tip is dry - which can sometimes lead you to pushing too hard and then getting in a bit of a mess!
      I paint most of my minis with a size 1 W&N brush, making sure that the point is really good - this makes it easier to paint detail
      Outside of that I'd say make sure your paint is thin enough and practice the strokes off the model first - on a spare or on some card perhaps!

    • @ExceedProduction
      @ExceedProduction Před 4 lety +1

      @@ThePaintingCoach Thank you for the advice! I will try to experiment a bit with what you have told me, use some different brushes and see which one gives the most precise result. • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks for the comment! It depends on a few things - such as palette, thickness of the paint etc
      I use a wet palette, and generally only put a drop or two of water in.
      For the thin black paint here I'd estimate it's probably 1:2 paint to water - the key is to make sure you don't have too much paint on your brush.
      If you're using s tile or other dry palette, you may need to add more water to stop the paint deying out

Thx.

    15:04 Is there something that we need to know about Retributor Armour? Ex girlfriend perhaps? Tough breakup? Ive never heard such an expression of exasperation following the naming of a paint before.
