    My trick for painting eyes is to take pictures with my phone and show my son. The little shit always lets me know if my minature is still looking "derpy" lol. Awesome video as always.

    Your method for marking where to drill holes in the base is simple and effective. I learned a new tip! Thanks.

    best way to paint marble is to mix pouring medium with water. then drop that all over your base. then put your colors on a brush and drag them through the water medium mixture without touching the base. the take a needle and tease the paint. let it sediment. after it dries repeat that step. the pouring medium in water will make it look hazy. and the paints land where they land selling the natural look

      I kinda got tired of having to buy bottles of white paint that would dry inside. Paint in a tube is way more convenient! Be careful not to lick your brushes tho. Artist grade paints are a lot more toxic

    I about screamed when you used that red painted water to thin youre grey/white paint. Thats a dangerous game you played XD

    Awesome video! The mini came out really good. I’ve been nervous to paint a sister of battle but you have given me some motivation and courage. Also, love the marble base!

    I love this, just bought a box of Battle Sisters and will probably follow your method. A question though, how are you painting the lower chest of the mini with the gun glued on and obscuring it? Also, wouldn't it be easier to paint the head as a separate assembly, and primed light gray instead of black? In any case, I really like your result.

    Hi, your work is great. I wonder, if you can show how to paint varanguard knight of ruin. In my opinion they are one of the best miniatures from age of sigmar.

    Might be a little late so I probably won't get an answer, but did you glue the mini on the base and then remove it again with a scalpel? Or did you use tack to stick it on, base it, paint it and then took the tack off?

    • @TheApatheticFish
      @TheApatheticFish  Před 2 lety +1

      I glued it to the base but with a very tiny bit of superglue so that I could break it off and then I pinned it once the base was done

    • @SquareViking
      @SquareViking Před 2 lety

      @@TheApatheticFish that was an incredibly fast answer, thank you!
      I think I'll try doing the same, though is pinning REALLY necessary? Doesn't glue hold it down well enough? Or is there some other smart, super advanced reason that I just haven't caught on to?

    What kind of palet are you using? Is it dry one, any you're using water only from the cup? Or it's just normal wet palet?

    • @SquareViking
      @SquareViking Před 2 lety

      It looks like the Everlasting Wet Palette Lite - I'd suggest getting the Studio XL version (j'm getting it because I like having a bigger surface to mix paints on).
