- Following a war of words between Nottingham Forest and the Premier League, it has come to light that there is no VAR audio available for the third penalty claim made by Nottingham Forest during their 2-0 defeat to Everton. The incident saw Ashley Young bring Callum Hudson-Odoi down in the box, but as per the PGMOL, referee Stuart Attwell, who Nottingham Forest claim is a Luton Town fan, refused to tell onfield official Anthony Taylor to review the situation. This video details the deep rooted corruption within both the Premier League and PGMOL, and why it goes a long way in explaining the poor standard of refereeing we're currently seeing in English football.

So they release the audio publically as per Liverpool's request in October, tell Forest a few months later that they're only willing to do so privately, and now it's come out that the audio for the 3rd penalty claim "doesn't exist". The PGMOL and Prem really do take fans for fools, wretched organizations.

Corruption or grossly incompetent? What a choice. Third rate decisions are being made impact on clubs like Forrest and Liverpool to name but two. Forrest must be aggressive in their pursuit of justice.

So it turns out that the rumour of there was never even a VAR check for the third possible penalty may well have legs after all.
Based on everything I've read it's gone beyond a rumour and is pure fact. Utter farce!
Not checking that penalty shout, gives Attwell a better excuse than had he checked it and been forced to lie again.

When Arsenal played Chelsea the other night,imagine the scenario where Chelsea had beat Arsenal 2-0 and Arsenal had three identical penalties to the Forest ones declined.what would have been said by Neville and Co if it was uncovered that the VAR official was a Manchester City fan.
Also Nevilles former boss was the biggest bully of referees in the history of the Premier league.

If Arsenal were denied three clear penalties against Chelsea by a Manchester City fan in the VAR, can you imagine how Ian Wright Wright Wright would be saying the same thing if his beloved Arsenal lost the title due to a night of shame by a member of the PMGOl

@albeyl3859 The point that Forest didn't get against Liverpool,when Tierney wrongly handed the drop ball to Liverpool could be the difference between Forest staying in the Premier league and being relegated.
And what about the other teams that have suffered? we need to get this shit out of the game and get compensation for how that affected the PL and we still await City's penalty for 155 crimes.

It`s not sport, it`s business. I don`t have a television set and I haven`t watched football for many years. The only reason I heard about this was it was so obviously corrupt that, my 12 year old Grandson felt the need to phone me up and tell me about it. Even he can smell the corruption.
The only activities these days that could be considered sporting would be amateur. As soon as money is involved, everything turns to shite.
If this was a bank it would be investigated why is the police not involved in investigating the pgmol and Taylor and attwell because something is going on in football there just can't be that many mistakes and bad calls especially over the last two seasons it will eventually come out whats going on and it will be the end of football

VAR is ruining the game as a spectacle, plain and simple and is not fit for purpose.
In cricket, you can see and hear how a contentious decision is arrived at and it's the same in rugby union with the TMOs.
Offsides, corners, ball over the goal line and the like should be a precision science, everything else is largely open to the judgement and perception of the individual referee or VAR. Why not have the 3 challenge system like they do in tennis ? It's fair, transparent and after 3 bites of the cherry the referee's on-field decision is final, just like it used to be in the good old days. I can't think of a fairer system.

Prem clubs need to listen to Webb on the VAR audio, because we have to reach a stage of accountability. I know Shearer was doing his shithousery on the rest is football, but all the pundits and media are tone deaf to constructive criticism. Often it needs someone to poke the wasps nest to get a reaction ie Stuart Atwell being a Luton fan. A bland statement wouldn’t have got so many eyes on screens or CZcamsrs incensed

But some audio during this time has to be available. We've heard ither audio where they are constantly following the game and taking about potential things to look at. They should play the full unedited audio from a few mins before the incident to a few mins after and lets see if it's just sudden silence. Heck just release the audio for the whole match start to finish.

Yes Forest benefited from those decisions but we weren't responsible for them. Jon Moss referee'd the game, not Steve Cooper. Nobody at Forest is blaming Everton for what happened so perhaps you need a rethink @johnwalsh1990
English football has been ruined by their own corruption. Every game in the EPL has unreliable officials that can't be tested for neutrality. And the entire concept of VAR is a flaw that will continue to work against football.
The beautiful game has become less interesting then you have FFP punishing other clubs and ignoring everything the top six has done as well as the FA never punishing the top six for their Super League.

Why would the PGMOL release any VAR audio that incriminates itself? It probably checks thru the 3 incidents (or any incident that receives a complaint about) before deciding whether to release the audio or not. Its not that stupid to release audios that supports the claim they are incompetent or biased.

Great update UTI. Webb wants a private meeting, to go through everything. I can’t believe for one minute Marinakis won’t put out a statement afterwards, especially if what’s been rumbling on about the 3rd on CHO is true. He’s been tried in public already so he’ll go down swinging on this one.
If it is true Webb will be gone end of the season and a root and branch restructure will happen in the PGMOL. We can only hope.
We saw tonight 115 Shitty awarded a free kick and subsequent goal for Foden having shite boots that couldn’t grip the pitch. Followed by a clear and obvious Pen for Brighton not given and VAR not getting involved. The crowd got vocal but we need more of it from all fans.
Can’t wait for Sundays match at the City Ground, the crowd won’t let the refs off any more.

"The VAR automatically ‘checks’ the TV camera footage for every potential or actual goal, penalty or direct red card decision/incident, or a case of mistaken identity, using different camera angles and replay speeds"

Game is crooked and VAR is deciding titles, trophies and relegations. Is TV controlling the game or gambling syndicates ?
It probably is but football is fast catching up on it when this is properly investigated its going to open a big can of worms and it will have far reaching effects to a number of foreign countries
The only way to get the EPLs attention to change is to protest by not watching the remaining matches this season. We viewers want a clean game and not for some gambling addict executive to make favours for he and his colleagues.
On Fubo broadcast, Beglin and Meulensteen discuss how the VAR said it was dismissed as a tussle and that there was a “normal amount of contact” on the 3rd shout btw.
If this is true, surely it’s grounds for a replay? And if Attwell is still employed at the end of this I should be shocked… but the PGMOL will probably promote him.
Var needs transparency now, not next season. We need audio of the decisions on all broadcasts and made available to all pundits, commentators and clubs after the game.

Attwell needs to go back down the leagues again like he did before. Should never have come back to the prem if he can’t do basic things right. And yet he’s going to the euros.
Just watched Brighton v Man City. City given a free kick for Foden falling over, and Brighton denied two clear penalty shouts, that had it been City claiming a penalty would have been awarded. Corrupt score 0 - 4. Correct score 2 - 3
zig what do you expect with man city when we have refs who are going to the Arab countries by private planes for one game and i bet that wont be without pay so they are not going to upset teams owned by the Arabs.

Flattering the top teams with biased referring is making them soft & complacent, so when they face European teams they lose matches, as they've learnt bad habits and fouls now go against them, whereas in the Premier League they let off the hook. PGMOL needs to go. In the short term the PL could bring in foreign referees without any bias for UK teams - and maybe this could be a long term solution.
Sky Sports will simply never allow the word "corruption" to be used.

Where is this story from? At the time I'm writing this, I see nothing on any news source ANYWHERE that carries this story - and some would, even had Forest come out and said it (and as far as I can see, they haven't). The latest was 5 days ago. There's nothing on the Forest website - and let's be honest, they don't seem bothered about making their claim loudly. Does anybody have a link to any reputable news organisation, or even Forest themselves claiming this?
