Best WWII RTS game series has been out for a long time now, Men of War Assault Squad with Mods. Multiple campaigns, Endless scenarios, massive sandbox, can mod it into anything you want... WWI, WWII, Cold War, Modern, Star Wars, zombies, anything.
Id argue COH is better than Men of War

I love turn based as much as the next guy but so far from what I've seen I don't think I'm missing much with this title. I mean the first Company Of Heroes years ago had a way cooler, more thematic, and tactically logical D-Day sequence. Why are mortar crews deploying in the open? If mortar crews did succesfully deploy on the beach, where are the shell holes? Our navy bombarded the beach specifically to give our boys shell holes to take cover in. Why are the pak guns wasting time shooting infantry? Where there even pak guns deployed at omaha? I figured it was primarily those 88mm AA guns. I think real time as opposed to turn based truly captures the chaos of the beach landing. As far as turn based goes, that XCOM-like espionage game you were playing recently was much better looking and made more sense. But thats just my opinion at the end of the day this certainly looks playable
Edit: the first couple waves were stuck on the beach for much longer than saving private ryan portrays so its not out of the realm of possibility that specialist units like mortar guys were able to return some mostly ineffectual fire, but i really dont imagine anyone coming to a dead stop on the beach unless they were forced to lol

This just makes me want to play more Steel Division 2. I would have killed for such a game in the 90s, it seems quite anachronistic, despite some interesting touches. This screams "Steam Sale".

BG3 has turn based combat and it was game of the year and looks incredible.

Its almost always the American perspective and if not, it's always the same theaters of war for every other country.
America=d-day/iwo jima
Russia=stalingrad/battle of berlin
Britian=Market Garden/battle of france.
We never get the Russians fighting the Japanese in manchuria.
Or the British fighting in north Africa.
Or Finland fighting the Soviets in the winter war.
Or Australians fighting the japs in close quarter jungle warfare.
