"The only video I wanna see from them is a f*cking apology" - could not have said it better Alex!
and not an AI video!
alex is the biggest fucking contrarian i've ever seen. just hates on shit to make it seem like he knows what he's talking about.
Good luck with that. The biggest reveal on this one they had an all-female directing staff do it this time. So, it will absolutely be different this time. (sarcasm)
@rayfish007 hey hey hey. Women directors can make bad content just as bad male directors can 😗
How so very dare you think otherwise, lolol
[JK, JK]
@FactoryDan its just ironic that the issue the overfeminizing of the industry, and that's their solution.
Imagine thinking you can write Lord of the Rings better than Tolkien
Dragons, swords, white people. Done. It's not that hard.
@@Kenzinru tell us you've never read tolkein without telling us you never read tolkein.
A lot of Tolkien's stuff isn't even original though 🤦♂️
@@ShadeszOfficialMost people haven't, for good reason.
@@foxweazel798 not sure if this is really poor quality bait, or just someone who hasn’t realized that Tolkien’s writings stood on their own merit for 40+ years before it was ever converted to film.
“Nobody goes off trail and nobody walks alone.”
Abandons them when they can’t keep up.
I'm not sure if you're serious, but their society is obviously fucked and those are rules they are drilling into the kids.
Do not go off trail.
Do not walk alone.
If you do this you are gone.
Well, they don't walk alone because they die, or something
Steals their wheel
@@rburk854 the entirety of the things they done with those hobbits are just so dumb....a nomadic wandering hobbit tribe would never have this sort of rules...because being a nomadic society...they would obviously HAVE TO be more open minded, more adventurous....again the Harfoots of lore...are not even close what the show is making....the Harfoots in the book lore were actually "more inclined to settle in one place" and they were HOLE DIGGERS, hell the entire origin of the word 'HOBBIT' comes from the name other clans had for Harfoots the holbytla the 'hole-builder'....in the show they don't make sense under any point be it realism or worldbuilidng perspective, and general attitudes and lore :). If any of the early hobbit clans/tribes would be nomadic wanderers it would be Fallohides...they were more adventurous, bolder, preferred to live in the forests, and hunting, were a northern branch of taller slimmer hobbits (so no diversity quotas they were basically like....scandinavian hobbits breed hahaha) so the Fallohides would be better suit for hunter gathere type society, but to know all that those morons at Amazon WOULD HAVE TO READ TOLKIEN works. :)
@rburk854 They teach the kids not to walk alone, which would indicate that they would have a moral compass to not let someone walk alone. And, yet, they let them walk alone anyway.
What a shit group of people.
Also, why are there so many dumb chants in this show? "The sea is always right," might be one of the most uninspired chants I've ever heard from a seafaring nation.
I am ready for another 6 hours of angry joe meltdowns! 💪

@@Ravenbones I dont think you understand what a joke is.
Regardless AJ and the crew in their reviews of the first season they groan at the idea of Sauron being a decent guy up until galadriel rejects him. They refer to him as an incel. Which he is. He is full of rage from being rejected. Until proven otherwise the show has presented him as an incel. I guarantee he'll rant about or at galadriel for rejecting him in this season. Deep in the land of Hollywood, in the studios of greedy corporations, the Dark Lord Amazon forged a horrible show, and into this show Amazon poured its cruelty, its malice and its will to piss off all of LOTR fandom. One show to piss them all off.

Halbrand with a wig and pointy ears for sure will deceive everyone.
They could fix it by having him walk by a mirror and show that he has a magical diguise and WE see him as who he is, but that'll be too clever. lol
I immediately thought about Clark Kent. I knew that was why galadriel didn't tell anyone because they needed him to come back. So lazy

Sauron: *puts on wig*

It’s actually criminal that this is getting a season 2.

"I didn't hear no bell"
Many years ago, I ran a middle=earth rpg set in the east. One of my players wanted to be a wizard and so played as the blue wizard Pallando. Along with a human knight, a wood elf ranger, a werebear rogue, and two dwarven brothers who occasionally fought inbetween drinking homemade dwarven ale.
The campaign had the Easterlings as the main protagonists, the evil faction led by Alatar (the other blue wizard), who had been corrupted by the influence of Morgoths spirit. Alatar rode on a blue crystal dragon and had two balrog bodyguards.
The party aided in the Easterlings civil war, and eventually succeed. Through many adventures the party travelled through enchanted forests filled with kaukareldar (evil fey), the keep of the frozen barrow king. The underneath, deep below the earth where the city of deep towers lay, ruled by the Nauglath (evil deep dwarfs), who tended the vats of Umalar (where Morgath created monsters). Through the swamps of cragmire barrow filled with mirelurk spiders, huge fell beasts, crebain and the great hag with her oloh-hai (trolls).
The party learned how to free the good easterling from Morgoths influence and how to fight for their freedom.
One of the most profound moments was when the players sought refuge in the elven city of Ithil-Rana (moon spirit) and found it empty and ransacked, only to learn that Morgoth had turned every man, woman and child into orcs for Saurons army. Also here, were the calcified remains of treants, one of the last known refuge for the entwives, as Pallando summarised.
In the penultimate final battle on the Steppes of Hithlum, below mount Kratos, the fifty thousand strong easterling army and their oliphaunts fought against the now free easterlings, and their grizzly bear mounts.
The party, along with the stone giants of Kratos, fought Alatars forces in Castle Azure, high up upon Mount Kratos. In an act of selfless sacrifice, the player of Pallando, frees alatar from the grasp of Morgoths spirit.
Like Gandalf, Pallando is sent back to complete his task, to the surprise of the other players mourning from his death.
The two blue wizards, now reunited as brothers, control the elements from high upon mount Kratos, to change the course of the battle below. While the rest of the party charge onto the battlefield, flying down on the backs of the giant falcons of Freya, who were summoned by Alatar.
The battle is finally won and the players are exuberant with the victory. I ordered pizza for everyone as they sat back, taking a break for a bit. They really felt like they'd been fighting for their lives for the 3 hours that the battle had lasted. I then read the final monologue describing the end of the campaign, as they ate their pizza.
As reward the players learned that the number of Easterlings that aided Sauron during the war was greatly reduced and Pallando earned the name East-helper, as referenced in the wiki.
Everyone felt like they had actually played a part in the movies, it was such a wholesome ending.
This would make for a better story than what these people are creating on Amazon.
As a big Tolkien nerd that sounds like it was a lot of fun. I’ve always thought setting a story in the east or south of middle earth, with factions in those places resisting and overcoming the tyranny of Saurons vassals, would make for some interesting stuff.
I'd rather see an adaptation of this campaign than another season of RoP
@brandonjohnson441 Thanks. I wanted to create a story that ran along side the same time line as lotr. I called it "The untold trilogy."
@Don9872 Just thought, maybe you'd like to know about the characters given to the players, though it'd be a bit of a long post.
Alex looking completely miserable from from frame numero uno tells it all
"What does Sauron look like?"
"He... looka like a man."
21:45 I just imagine the Pitch Meeting: Oh being cornered by pepole with swords is TIGHT. Must be hard to get out of this situation.

Galadriel: _Prepare yourselves_
Internet: _Oh, we are, honey, don't worry_
Alex's face right before hitting play sums up my feelings perfectly.
I don't know what's more cringe Joe pretending to be 'mad' or him pretending to be a 'reader' of Tolkien - he can't even get the superman comics straight what a fool...
12:05 I have just imagined, Sauron is walking around in that disguise Infront of Galadriel and she is having suspicions but she is not sure. And in the last episode she's like aha, I recognised you, SauRRRon. And everybody is like what a twist
Both house of the dragon & ROP release trailers on the same day😂😂😂
Future me- I was there. 3000 years ago. The day sauron wore a bad wig!
The Harfoots were the best part of season 1. Watching their clueless, gleeful chaotic evilness was one of the few bright spots of the show.
Yah the whole leaving people behind part was hilarious 😂
Yes, it was something that didn't matter much when they messed it up. When you mess up the elves and the significant parts of the lore it really hurts. The hobbits were mostly stupid fun.
This trailer is trying so hard to be cool that its downright hilarious to watch lol. Also if the dislikes are anything go by, this show is already more dead in the water.
Alex needs a full episode to rant, that was great.
"Galadriel look at me" Sauron said calmly
"did you put your ring in the fires of Mount Doom?" asked gently
Im da captain
17:31 lmfao their brains blocked out that he's Isildur. The trauma was too much for them to bear 🤣
AJ is growing redder by the day; the rage takes a toll.
Why can't we just get Haradrim and Angmar stories? Why do they have to race bend Elves and Dwarfs when they have plenty of diverse peoples? Why do they have to make the stories they do watered down mellow drama versions of themselves?
We all know the answer to the first question. Unfortunately
I can't believe you losers are still obsessed with the "race issue" after 3 years
"Race bend elves and dwarfs", omg dude. Get offline for a bit 🙄.
Because they don't own much of what we'd logically want to see..... and Amazon's board of graphics and market share projection thinks that black people and women can't watch if not represented....and their not wrong, they just can't hire people who can do it organically. Like having an haradrim point of view instead of dropping a black in your face dwarf lady that cannot contribute to the plot because it's not her function.
I bet ES6 would do the same shit.
Amazon: hey guys rings of power season 2 coming out
Everyone else: ...... silence.....
"The only video I wanna see from them is a f*cking apology" Oh man Alex never change I LOLED for a good minute i had to pause the video.
The worst part about a season 2 is that I'm going to have to watch season 1 because I honestly can't remember a single thing that happened 🤣
You watched season 1?
@@ENB90 I think I did. I remember them being on a boat, but that's all lol
You can also not watch either. Works better in the long run.
The timeline was pretty screwed up last time, but I think we'll see in this season, the forging of the other rings, the siege and fall of Eregion, Numenor coming to the Elves aid and capturing Sauron and taking him back to Numenor and it will finish with Galadriel founding Lorien and Celeborn will finally turn up...
everytime they mention the 'tempest' Im about to spurt my coffee PLEASE STOP IT LOL
Alex's face says more than any video essay could.
What if Galadriel is actually her Nobody: Llegadriax and on the raft sauron stabbed her with the keyblade
Hahahaha 😂😂😂 kingdom hearts ❤
That'd be about as lore accurate as anything else in this show so far...
I can't wait for this to come out to enjoy you guys shitting on it!
The writers from the first season didn't know what they were Tolkien about.
Weak pun.
The good of RoP: practical orcs. The bad: everything else.
People need to stop hate watching bad rubbish. The more views they get only means they will continue to out out bad shit.
Somehow... Rings of Power returned.
The face of Alex the first 10 seconds describe the fans opinion.
Rings of power season 1 was actually brilliantly done, ofc book nerds unhappy of random changes but every book thats ether film, game, tv shows will always be different. House of dragons, from season 3, and rings of power best year to be alive
Theres gonna be a Tempest in August.
Surely Amazon has learned from season 1.
I expected the trailer to start off with an extreme closeup of Galadriel.
A video saying, not only do they apologize for that huge pile of shit of Season 1, but also they fired all the people dumb enough to think they could do better than Tolkien and they'll never work in this town again. This is not going to be good.
As always, the studio executives dig too greedily and too deep...
Gave up on this on episode 5. Rather get brain cancer than watch more of this.
Same episode where I quit. Watched reviews to see if it got any better but we know how that turned out.
i know where i can source a brain eating Amoeba for ya if you want.
Look. Amazon. As a long time lord of the rings fan. Gut this show. Cancel it. And put your efforts in fallout. That’s actually worth watching.
Remember this is the show that decided that the quote, “give me the meat and give it to me raw.” Was good writing.
Did you hear the part where Sauron said “orcs have layers” and then the orcs did orc things and stuff

@therotten6152 I’m not watching a second of the show, just these guys reviews
Did y’all notice it’s not a lot of dialogue in the preview, which is not a great sign.
I agree, I want a video of Prime video studio execs saying “we’re sorry” , “we understand HOW we disappointed you fans.”
Saying ur a fan of rings of power is like saying ur a fan of scat. Go away and never come back
I don't understand why galadriel is using a sword and looks more like a elf ranger when she should be using some magic. Looks to be again not following the books and screwing every character.
They recast Adar?!?!? Bro... he was my favorite or season one. Actor was incredible. Wish him the best I guess. I could go for an Adar show after season 1 lol.
“Only video I want to see from them is an apology” 😂😂😂 Gold
I kinda feel like the internet wants this to be hated. People hated on the show before it even came out. They already made up their minds. I personally didn’t think season 1 was bad, and nobody I know personally thought it was bad either. Is it as good as lord of the rings? No. But some of these internet scoopers act like it’s dragon ball evolution bad lol. Like come on
Yeah it wasn't terrible, it's just forgettable. That's outrage culture for yah though.
Tolkien's work has a very high bar, and Amazon didn't even attempt to make anything worth watching. It's terrible and you are a terrible person for pretending there is anything of value to this show. You are everything wrong with the world

Remember Joe and gang, those elf wigs were really expensive, so of course Halbrand fooled the elves yet again!
I'm so confused with how so many shows, despite having horrendous ratings, get greenlit for multiple seasons.
They have nothing better to offer. And have such a monopoly in the industry that they can’t fail.
To quote the legendary Gandalf;
"I'm good."
No thanks.
There was anger here in Ireland over De Oirish accents used by an entire race in the first series for the Halfling-like simpletons (seeing Lenny Henry doing his Oirish Country Idiot accent was particularly grating). I won't be watching this.
This must be what it feels like to enjoy something from a franchise you don’t really care about, I never understood how people could like the witcher/halo/avatar tv stuff after what they did to those franchises, but I really enjoyed season 1 of rings of power because I guess I’m not invested in the franchise, I watched the movies, seems to have really rich backstory but I ain’t ever reading those books so it’s really cool to see the lore in tv format even if it’s change according to some
Notice how this and House of the Dragon trailers released an hour apart from each other. They're both looking expensive but will probably disappoint
Time to justify why Amazon just needs to focus on the Fallout series instead of this!
They just announced LEGO Barad Dur 500$ set and I was so happy. Thanks Amazon for ruining my day with this trailer!!!
no way its worth 500 bucks NO WAY!
Nobody goes off trail. Except when they do. And nobody walks alone. Except when we leave yo broken ankle ass. Haha
The eye is more a banner or vision (e.g. in Galadriel's mirror, or when being drained by the ring,), and also how the Orcs tended to refer to him. And it also had to do with how his gaze - and hand* - could seemingly search around the land (there is a cool part of that on Amon Hen where they split up after the first part in the book, which PJ represents by Frodo seemingly rushing towards Mordor, the tower and then the eye, and then taking off the ring). And maybe a window with red light in the tower of Barad-dur. But he was corporeal in LotR, and in any case never pointlessly took the literal form of an "eye". (Some other things in older times.)
*In the book the eye and his grasp are ambivalent or equivalent in the scene mentioned, and there is also a drawing or painting by Tolkien of his arm and hand grasping out over Mordor. There is probably also a metaphrical description of that in the book. (I don't mean the different part after the ring is destroyed and he sort of forms a fist of smoke that gets dissipated by the wind. It's not in the movie.)
If you watch the little “behind the scenes” they have out, the hobbit knock offs are still there. This has the feeling of The Barbie movie where they cut the trailer just right without revealing what’s actually going on.
My favorite part was when Borat grabbed the ring and said, "you will never get this!" right before Holdor closed up the Gringott's bank doors on Eleven. This is a must watch, I need to know who Vader picks as the next sith apprentice!
God 2020 has been such a long time.
The thing that bothers me most is as a standalone fantasy series it looks solid... but then you remember its supposed to be in Tolkien's universe and they've just changed everything 😢
HBO releasing the trailer for house of the dragon on the same day is such a great power move! Bravo, HBO. Bravo.
A shapeshifting and manipulating sauron looking like he just went to wallmart at christmas eve..
“That kid trying to prove himself”…yeah, that’s Isildur….
