You could just play Stalker Anomaly mod. Even the old Stalker games except Clear Sky are still amazing but Anomaly add so much more and has all 3 games in one essentially and its a free download where you don't even need the base game. If you play Stalker you will see that Tarkov is just a Rip-off version of Stalker but PvP.

Kinda makes you curious what the "season pass" in the EoD actually nets you, since arena was listed separately as one of the package's features.
The price is crazy, but dlc meaning every single additional content is a fairly new thing. Originally dlc was everything small, skins packs and stuff like that and everything bigger (new stories, maps and game modes) were expansion packs. Technically Expansion Packs are still dlcs, but no one had problems with this.
It's comical how they made "play with your friends" a selling point... Like, in what universe is anyone going to have 3 friends who are also willing to spend that money?

It's early access...with multiple editions at stupid price points. The game will never release, they will keep it in "beta" and they will continue to steal your money.
This is HILARIOUS to me, because sea of thieves, a 6+ year old game, recently released 'safer seas' for FREE, a private server with ONLY pve content. This makes me wanna spend more cash at the pirate emporium. $250 for online only content is just wild to me.
Didn't know that. When I saw it was coming to PS5 I was tempted but stayed away due to it being PvP which I'm not interested in at all. I kinda want to check that out now, is safer seas included in the PS5 version?
â@@diablows1909 yes it is just be warned that mode doesn't allow you to play with all the content available. It also reduces the amount of gold and reputation you earn to 30% not to mention you can't get to pirate legend or use captained ships in safer seas.
@@diablows1909 The only differences I have found between safer seas and high seas is the gold payout is 1/4 of its normal price, reputation is reduced, and the fact that you can't bring your captained ship or guild into the mode. Everything else is available to play. The 'A pirates life' and 'monkey island' tales are all there, you can do any voyage of your choosing, and the world events are there for you to try out if you've never gotten the chance to because of pvp. But be forewarned, it really sucks to turn all that treasure into each individual emissary when you dock for the day. And fish caught can only be turned into the hunters call outposts, and not the sovereign.
If you can get past the small stuff like the gold and rep, playing safer seas with friends is the way to go.
Keep in mind it's 250 euros which is over 300 usd
A game about Pirates doesnât rob you instead gives you the content for free, whereas a game where you play as a merc get robbed

Remember when games used to sell the multiplayer mode and not the other way around? It doesn't cost them a thing for you to play the game offline, they are being 100% greedy. This is starting to become a terrible trend in the gaming industry, I think we all let Halo Infinite slip under our noses, they did the same thing and made the multiplayer free while charging extra for the single player campaign. And of course there's Fallout 76 which also charges $100/year subscription just for the solo mode. When the fuck did we start paying subs for single player?

I know everyone's talking about the offline mode, but the real scam here feels like the 'Secure Container Gamma.' For those who don't play the game, the Secure Container is the only part of your inventory space that you DON'T lose when you die. The default edition container has 4 slots, while the Gamma container has 9. This is an INSANE advantage for most players, since it lets you guaranteed keep things you find, or bring stuff with you that there's no chance of you losing. The previous most-expensive version of the game ($140) used to include this container, and it's the main reason that players bought this game version. They REMOVED THIS VERSION of the game, meaning nobody could get the container, only to now lock the container behind a version costing $110 MORE.
TL:DR They took the main draw of their previous most expensive version, locked it behind the $250 paywall, and made it so you can't get it any other way.
Idiots that pay for this shit are to be blamed.

@@ronmka8931 PVE Tarkov was far more enjoyable to me, no hackers, less stress. You can just install the Single Player Tarkov mod, host it locally, have wacky mods and stuff too. BSG says that it's "too expensive" to have a PVE mode for anything under $250, yet these mods did it years ago for free.
What about the arm band? Last I heard from BigFry, it has an ability to make the Scavs not attack you until you're closer to them.

So I bought the Standard Edition 7 years ago, and I played a lot of it then, but died off with many many other games eventually coming out to a point I may play a bit once or twice a year for a round or two now. Standard has been fine for me, so no unlimited powers upgrade for me needed lol.

I miss when you buy a game is reasonable. Like an average gamer won't even spend a $250 just for something you can play with off and on. Like these companies thinks every gamer now is a streamer or a content creator on youtube. Like not everyone makes money off from recording and playing video games and some people have bills to pay. there is a singleplayer mod for tarkov already if you dont intend to play coop. also you have different profiles to select, f.i. devmode gives you a god mode balaclava and almost infinite money, all quests and so on...

You know what I bet it is? I bet the whole game mode is a low effort cash grab, and they realized "hey, if we sell this as DLC people are going to refund it" so instead they're tying it to this 250$ collectors edition where you can't get steam refunds for it and it's a digital code so likely no refunds at all. Basically I'm predicting they think they can make more money off of pre-orders from people who don't realize how bad it's going to be.
I don't think you can buy it on Steam anyway. It has to be through Battlestate games.
