Great job guys, thank you.
Our pleasure!
Best camera crew in the biz! Great review guys and nice flying.🎥🛩
Much appreciated! and I AGREE ;)
Wow very nice Sports RC plane I love the color Red blue and white they look amazing when you fly in the sky looks amazing. This can do flips and 3D Awesome RC.
Yes, for sure...this plane is fully aerobatic!
Cool plane
Nice flying and vid Brian & Camera Crew aka Megan
Glad you enjoyed it- Thanks Erric!
Good model bro ,have a nice day
Thanks, you too!
Good morning Brian. Nice flight this morning.
Morning! Thanks Tom!!!
Thats a fast little bird. Good work 👍😁
It sure is
hello Brian good afternoon, beautiful plane and beautiful flight congratulations ...
Good evening, and welcome! Thanks ;)
Hey Brian love your videos, you do a great job of explaining the ins & outs of set ups & flying. The xk430 flys great bound to the x6 transmitter that they supply with the xk110 heli. been able to adjust expo/dual rates makes all the difference. I have bought a few xk & volanex planes in the last few months and they fly remarkably well. I love the low stress & fun of the small planes/helis, if you crash dust them off and keep flying. i have had alot of big planes/helis & one crash can cost a lot. next buy for me is the xk600 plane, your video on that makes me think it will be more fun than the 430 ,can bind it to the x6 as well. keep up the good work. (thumbs up to your camera crew she does a great job)
Thanks Michael! Agreed small planes, small problems - Big planes, big problems ....but you and I both know I'm a gluten for punishment - LOL!!!
sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account??
I stupidly forgot the login password. I would love any help you can offer me!
@Thomas Russell Instablaster :)
@Isaias Aries i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out atm.
Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Isaias Aries it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account !
Nice! Like it.
Some feedback not related to this vid, I went ahead and got the Carbon Cub 2 S RTF after watching you and also an aditional DX6e so I can train with my son.
It was super easy to setup the trainer mode acutally.
But the coolest part was the telemetry out of the box. Now this is my first plane so dont know how many other of the HH models have this but once the telemetry was setup (using SMART) I could actually see the individual cell voltage on the 3S on my DX6e (not the DXs) which I TOTALLY love since it eliminates having to stop and manually check with a lipochecker.. just awesome
For sure! Any of the newest BNF planes equipped with AR637TA or AR636B will generally support these items. On the older setup, you might need to go to the Function List, and Telemetry, and choose "Auto-Configure" and they will show up for you. Amazing help for telling voltages. So nice!!!
AS for the trainer mode, did you setup the DX6 as the master, and DXs was the slave?
@@BrianPhillipsRC Ah cool. Yeah, used the DX6e as master, configured it with pilot link where you can choose which channel to give control over to the slave and then just bind the DXs to the DX6e.
This aerobatic plane is beautiful, I would really like to see in my hands what it would be able to do!
Definitely, go for it! The links are in the description for you RC Reporter.
Hi Brian I also found the included transmitter to be quite toy grade. I bound the A430 to the E6 transmitter from my Eachine E160 - a big improvement!
I'll probably setup the Jumper T8SG with this one, for a proper flight control experience. I feel like this RTF package is one for the very few that I would call a miss from XK. They have included THIS Tx before, but I didn't find it as inferior in the past, paired up with past planes, BUT this plane screams for a better transmitter... Just a thought, sounds like you agree ;) That all being said, the plane DOES fly, and it is GOOD...but just feel like this toy grade Tx underserves a GREAT plane ;)
Cant get off the sticks to get the trim in! So glad its not just me! Had the exact same problem with the Conscendo Evo (A purchase based on your recommendation btw!) I had to get into safe pretty quick, and get it up high before I felt confident to get to the trim switches. She was pitching down pretty heavily, may have been the CoG though. Thanks for the great vids, as usual.
When I REALLY need to trim, but can't get off the sticks, it's nice to have a helper adjust it, but that can cause issues too, if they bump your thumbs!!!
the mrs's is right it goes where she said in the slot cut out for it , and it gives it good cg apparently too, great little plane for the cost and what it is people expect these little models to perform like full sized 2 meter planes , that aint the case but the amount of fun from xk and wltoys is awesome great job guys
Agreed! XK puts out a great plane!!!
I was looking at this one, cool little 3D plane, i am going to have to add this one to my micro collection! I just got the A800 Glider and A180 F-22A Raptor from XK the other day along with my Eachine Trojan! 😱 😁 The ✈️ Raptor from XK is bad ass has lights on the underside of the wings, you would like that one! Thanks for sharing Brian! 📽️ Nice job wife, camera crew!
☠️🐾🐾🐾 SEMPER Fi! 🖖
Pump the breaks - the XK Raptor has LIGHTS on it!???!!?!??! I don't have lights on mine?!?! Did you add them?
@@BrianPhillipsRC No they came with them on, a strip on each wing!
Hi Brian u made flying that fun
Hey, thanks! I thought it came across as pretty boring, so I'm so glad to hear you say that. 3D is not my preference, and here it is, TWO 3D planes in a ROW :)
P.S. I wanted this to be the T-28, so I was actually a bit disappointed, even though this plane turned out to be great! That one is taking FOR-EVER to ship!!!
Working on getting caught up. Hello to you and camera crew aka Mrs.Megan. Thanks for the video keep flying you guys.
Welcome back!
I've heard reports that this one is a bit fragile. But for the price, when on sale, it's quite neat, and if you trash the air frame, the electronics can be used for a different plane.
sure, you could ;)
It’s a beautiful flight. Your wife will take pictures and you’ll be very happy.
Okay ;)
Great video 👍 nice product.
Haha, do you think this can do prop hang with gyro turn-off?😁
Yes it will - it CAN, but you'd have to be an EXCELLENT pilot without a better transmitter like the Jumper T8SG, for example.
Awesome Video....When both stock would you recommend this xka430 to the omp s720?
S720 would be a better choice.
I wonder if i could hover it 🤔 have you tried?
To ask you, have you tried the xk j-11 a- 100 jet. It flies really nice. Like your videos, very informative and cool.
Not yet! I have in on order ;)
Cool video, is there a bigger battery I can get for this plane?
You can find them, but the battery seemed good based on what we've seen.
How durable is that compared to micro eachines? Very cool
It's good, but a bit more brittle, in my opinion.
Nice! Yea I joined that club and one of the members gave me 2 balsa planes that resemble the Mini Apprentice, they are gas so I'll be buying electric motors for them. I'll need to change out the receiver and other electronics. Any recommendations? FWIW they both have 30cc engines on them.
Very cool! You're going to need some BIG motors, but you will have some AWESOME and SOLID planes!!! These will last longer to any foamy you every fly, so don't cheap out on the electronics and motor...BUT they will crash just like a foamie, and they're a LOAD more work to fix.
Ironically, I also have two gasers downstairs, that I inherited from my late Grandpa. I will probably convert them over, but not sure yet. Might be fun to make them fly AS-IS???
Great video, great plane, great pilot! Can you do a video of the XK Skylark piper cub? I bought it, the great plane!
I've had it on order for MONTHS. Should be here very soon. Very annoyed that I don't have it yet... Sorry!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC yeah. I ordered it and I am in Australia, took about 3 and 1/2 weeks. But it is GREAT!
WOW! 3.5 weeks is almost better than I've been getting from Banggood lately! I just got the MOTHER LOAD today from Fedex...looks to be THREE boxes all packed together.
you should fly it with the X6 tx that comes as an option when you purchase the plane
The X6 is a hobby grade tx with expo, rates n other settings
I realize that, but different protocol.
The X6 tx is also made by XK Innovations n is of the same protocol as the A430, A600 n other XK brushless planes ..
They used to offer it as an option when buying the plane if you pay $10-20 more
The XK A600 I bought came with it, quality is pretty equivalent to dx6
The Futaba FHSS proc that it comes with is more stable than the Spektrum ones, no signal loss when flying in areas with trees
Think its worth buying the electronics for brushless conversion of small planes ..
Can use Jumper Tx at worse ..
Brian
Can I bind this plane to a Spektrum NX6 or is it different system? Same question for Eachine P51.
As have both of them but would love to use the better Transmitter etc.
Bruce, nope...sorry, different protocol. These Eachines don't use DSM2/DSMX like Spektrum. I think these planes MAY be able to work with Futaba FHSS, but I'm not 100% sure.
I had one of these and it would glitch and it basically would full elevator down and oscillate and run it strifhr into the ground you couldnt control it hardly at all when it started happening and it crashed bc of it
Hey Brian, Camera crew going to the fire pilot if hit house, 🤣✌👍
Nope, Already hit the house a few times ;) I've also hit the power lines twice, power pole once (total loss), I misjudged the treeline with my beloved Vampire for a total loss, and many other crashes...crashing is part of the spice of life ;)
great job but your audio is low on your mic,Megan's is fine
I thought maybe that was happening, sorry about that Richard...not sure why that is? We don't have any gain on these mics, but we'll make sure it's remedied before our next video. Thanks for the heads up!
@@BrianPhillipsRC wasn't sure if anyone mentioned it,keep up the great work
dude: I don't know much about the jumper t-lite, but I seem to be under the imrpession, that these cheeap planes can do well wiht one of those, as one of those probably has all the mixing, expo, programming and such from open source transmitter OS. no? lol. I would probably have to find out more of that combo, were I leaning towards buying an air plane. lol I used to fly, but I don't know . . . can't seem to get into it these days. Due to: kinda been there, done that, sort of thing. lol shrurg. lol. So, once in a whiel I pop in a youtube vid on planes, and realize that I am not really wanting to get one. lol enjoy! cheers.
They can be used, but I've struggled to get them to bind. It's also a lot less intuitive setup for mixing and other programming items in the menus. Take my word for it, but if you get one, I wish you nothing but the best of luck
would this be good for a beginner or would one of the "eachine" now sold under tuns of other brand names warbird planes be better? (spitfire p-51 etc)
I hear this one compared to those is brushless motors which is better but hear also people say it flies more squirrelly which Im not surprised if so it is modeled after an EXTRA which is insane how fast and sensitive those real planes are lol. EDIT well you answered in the video already
This plane is considerably nicer than the Eachine 400mm Warbird Series, but it's also got some of the same issues...cheap, and less than perfect transmitter, but this can be improved in most cases with an OpenTX Transmitter that allows you to bind to this "aftermarket" Rx - BUT this is not always possible, and since I haven't done it, I can't say with 100% certainty...MOST, however work this way.
This one just happens to have brushless motor, from what I remember.
@@BrianPhillipsRC thanks for the info! I may end up getting a sports cub to learn on first time getting back into the hobby after fifteen years. Been mostly doing model rockets and drones of late. But miss the planes :)
My first plane years ago was not a good learner plane as a kid it was a 117 nighthawk haha and pre all the auto stablization stuff was even a thing yet i think at least in the small scale.
And in real life those planes already cant be flown without a computer basically because of how un aerodynamic it is hahaha! So can imagine a 10 year old trying to fly that thing.. well landing was more of rapid unscheduled belly flops at the time.
You’re believers in Christ? If so, that’s amazing! God Bless!!😄
Yes :)
I’ve had this plane for about 2 months. It flies great! But The motor mount design sucks. It will eventually vibrate like crazy and throw off the gyro and cause a crash. I used Ground Control RC’s idea and upgraded the motor mount and motor to a 1306 with a gemfan 5x3 prop. Also stuck a GNB 520mah 80c 2S. Overall more power. Giving me a 5 minute flight. So far so good 👍🏽
I just need to bind this plane to my Jumper T8SG to see if I can get it flying better. The included transmitter is not amazing.
@@BrianPhillipsRC How did this go Brian? the Jumper T8SG has that Futaba T-FHSS or S-FHSS protocol doesn't it? Thanks! Been thinking about buying this plane to go with my Futaba radio.
Would you recommend to remove the nose cone to preserve the motor mount?
How did you handle the nose diving when usingthe 6g mode? It is almost unflyable for me in 6g. Also, how did you tacle the center of mass change with a 520 2s battery? Mine can hardly fly as it is being that nose heavy
Second day owned i crashed the plane, the front end was fixable with hot hlue but the propeller adapter had snapped and idk what to do now
Follow the link to buy it, and then you can sometimes get spare parts there.
@@BrianPhillipsRC your links stopped working a couple months ago
Is this the mini 3d plane I've been hoping for or nah?
It's pretty cool, but I'm such NOT a 3D aficionados, I'd be lying if I said yes...
I don’t know if I missed it or not but does this plane have a safety mode on it. If not is there a receiver I can add to this plane so it has safe?
This plane has auto leveling and stabilization, but it's not called SAFE on XK, they call it 3D 6G ;)
Brian, I need some info. I bought a LiPo battery for my DX8e transmitter. when I connect it to my Spektrum S2100 Smart charger I get an error message stating "To High Balancer Port Voltage" . I do not have the recommended charging cable with the banana connectors or a charger with banana connector ports. What do I do to charge this SPMB4000LPTX Battery"
Update. I bought a another charger and the charging adapter arrived yesterday. I'm good to go.
So sorry I missed helping you out ASteamEngineer!!! We've been working on taking Hay on our property, and we had a Skunk try to move in yesterday - Yippee!!! (Seriously...that sucked BAD!)
Just got the A-430S, not sure what the "S" denotes (or do I) considering all the online info is for the original A-430, notably the radio that comes with the S model is way cheaper, no more LCD display for instance, kinda disappointed with that. Also 2 plugs in the battery bay, one male one female, not sure what they do, FPV cam & FPV battery hookup? One thing China can still do, keep a secret... Their manuals continue to resonate with the average Zucker brothers movies, Useful info in our manuals? That's just what they'd expect us to do... Still a cool little plane.
Works out to almost $200.00 Canadian after shipping yikes looks cool just the same great review take care
"Little Nose heavy flys nice tail heavy flys Once lol"
Ouchie, gewwww...glad we don't have to pay that much for shipping!!!! The plane is great, but the Tx is cheap feeling. Gets the job done, but I think I'll set her up with the Jumper T8SG and see how much better she performs, since she's on S-FHSS.
I was always under the impression going that low on the battery ruins it? But I could be wrong
You mean, it shortens the life of the pack?
Lipo's operate from about 4.2VDC to about 3.3VDC or a bit below if you're not too crazy toward the end of the charge cycle. I've run them even lower, and it is hard on the packs.
@@BrianPhillipsRC yes. That’s what I mean but I have done this 3 times and 1 of the batteries puffed up so big it almost burst . So now I’m lil more carful . This plane is awesome though. I like it quit a bit. Fun to fly and zippy as hell . Zips all over the place
the carger is euopian 224 volt and de one you 110v0lt
I see, thanks!
Hi Brain I'm new to flying planes I have the eachine p51 t28 f4u I would like to move up to the HobbyZone Carbon Cub S 2 or E-flite Air Tractor 1.5m any recommendations thanks
If you're flying them with ease, you will LOVE how much better the Carbon Cub S2 or Air Tractor flies....they are in a different leuge, for sure, but a lot more money too.
Don't be discouraged when you add up the price for your first BNF plane, as you will need the Transmitter, Battery, and Plane, so it's pretty painful at first. Here's ONE very, VERY important piece of advice...I can tell you're going to be flying for a while, given your comment, and planes listed - Don't get anything LESS than a DX8. You will thank me later, when you're NOT replacing your DX6E with a DX6, and a DX8e with DX8....just to get to what you REALLY want. If you have the spare cash, 9 channels (DX9) would be nice, but there's a BIG price jump, and the 9th channel is a lot less "necessary" for most of the BNF planes coming out.
If you would consider it, please buy from our links, when you make a decision to purchase. We get a small commission when you do, and this basically funds the channel, if it weren't already obvious. We appreciate you, even if you can't, and want to see you have success either way, Greg!

For the first time ever I would like to buy a "very small" rc model that flies 'very well' and does "some 3D". Until now I was just not interested in small airplanes. Would you mind telling me, according to you, which model is the best "very small 3d capable" airplane. (if there is anything like that!). Thanx 2² your input!
Great question. I'd say 3D is a very small part of my flying, and I certainly don't consider myself any sort of "expert" 3D pilot...That being said, this plane is very good on the 3D front. The Transmitter leaves some to be desired, but from everything I know, it will bind up to a Futaba transmitter, or many of the Multi-protocol "Open-Tx" transmitters available today.
So here's a three choices...
XK 430 Edge bit.ly/3aFq0ux (RTF comes with transmitter, but the Jumper would make it way better)
+
TS8G Jumper (Open Tx Transmitter) bit.ly/39Vxwzy
OR
UMX Yak 54 bit.ly/2YRzX3s (This is BNF, and require a DSMX/DSM2 Transmitter)
Ultrix UMX bit.ly/2OpYAi2 (This is BNF, and require a DSMX/DSM2 Transmitter)
+
Spektrum Transmitter bit.ly/2OwKprB (Chose a transmitter - DX8 or better)
...good luck!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thanx 2² your reply!
Can it do a barrel roll??
Yes, this plane can do any 3D maneuver you can control it to do, but it's somewhat squirrelly out of auto-leveling, with the RTF transmitter. If you're going to use and OpenTx transmitter and setup expo and dual rates, I bet this plane would fly very good!
It make's me wonder...... what it would look like stuck to the side of the house..... :)
A lot like a huge bug on the windshield ;)
Nice Lil 3D Plane, Me Likey... Just Hook It Up To A Better TX & It Would Be Terrifiic! LOL
Totally. The Jumper should work with it. Maybe I'll do another Jumper T8SG video???
P.S. $2050+ today - HOLY CRAPPERS - 4 months to Triple - Who would have thought?!?! I wish I would have bought more ;)
Nice plane and as usual nice review but this plane is not for me. I'm a 76 year old that just recently got into this end of the RC hobby and I fly just for a bit of fun and relaxation - mostly relaxation. This plane just seems to want to fly fast and with the controls as you describe them I'd have trouble keeping the plane over my 2-3 acre front lawn. For now I'll stick with my HZ Sport Cub S 2.
Fair enough! I agree with your assessment Bill ;) My front half (the area you see, is tree wrapped in the front...is about 2.5~3 Acres, FYI)
@@BrianPhillipsRC There is a flying club/field not more than 5 miles from home that I could join and then have more space to fly but there is something really nice about about opening the garage door stepping out and flying on a fresh battery for about 10 minutes then stepping back in the house and going about my other business. It is a wonderful blessing for which I'm very thankful even if the acreage limits the choice of RC planes that I can reasonably fly in the limited amount of space.
Bill K moo
76 that give me hope lol. I am 57 and still enjoying the hobby after my wife got me a lil nano for christmas 2011 truly amazing how time fly by.
@Bill K I'm 72 and love this plane. In 6g mode can be flown suprisingly slow, and has great vertical under full power. Can be flown in very small area in high rates setting.
Can't hear you Good price. All the small planes scare me cause they go so fast. But then again I am an old man.
Can't hear me? (Are you joking or being serious???) This one IS FAST. If that's not your thing, I GET it...the 3D planes are a butt cheek clench fest...I'd prefer a plane that flies like a PLANE ;) - LOL - BUT this plane is pretty cool, if you're into 3D flying....which I'm NOT (I feel very inferior as a 3D pilot)

Congrats ;)
Well if your at 50% throttle back numb nuts!!
