As an American Citizen, I am tired of Netanyahu giving me the finger with one hand and with the other hand outstretched, accepting over half a trillion dollars within 20 years. America needs to take Netanyahu's advice and tell our friend, 'no'.
America has become Israel's lapdog and I am disgusted.

The original 1977 party platform stated that "between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty."[127][128]
The 1999 Likud Party platform emphasized the right of settlement.
The Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza are the realization of Zionist values. Settlement of the land is a clear expression of the unassailable right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel and constitutes an important asset in the defense of the vital interests of the State of Israel. The Likud will continue to strengthen and develop these communities and will prevent their uprooting.[129]
Similarly, they claim the Jordan River as the permanent eastern border to Israel and it also claims Jerusalem as belonging to Israel.
The 'Peace & Security' chapter of the 1999 Likud Party platform rejects a Palestinian state.
The Government of Israel flatly rejects the establishment of a Palestinian Arab state west of the Jordan river. The Palestinians can run their lives freely in the framework of self-rule, but not as an independent and sovereign state. Thus, for example, in matters of foreign affairs, security, immigration, and ecology, their activity shall be limited in accordance with imperatives of Israel's existence, security and national needs.[129]
Exactly the point I wanted to make.
I have both read and followed this injustice for over 30 years of my life, I have lived in Israel for a number of years. There is nothing which should surprise you James about the Prime Minister’s statement, and despite all the elections they have had in the last several years, almost every year, the politics of Israel towards the Palestinians will not change. It is absurd the number of callers you have had phone in, think the ground conditions will change if Netanyahu is removed, it is FACT, they won’t change. Netanyahu while a despot is not the worst. What will change is when the USA puts pressure on, perhaps even a squeeze by the EU of economic sanctions may be enough, the thought of an Arab/Persian/Ottoman alignment may sharpen the dynamics. I will celebrate when the Palestinians have their own state, I care about the minority of Israelis who realise the injustice, but for sure they are a minority at the moment.
Even if the US finally stops their two state veto, Palestinians don't actually want it. Look at the polls. The younger they are, the less support there is, so it'll only shrink more.

If you’ve followed the region for longer than October 7th you would know with certainty (whether you acknowledge it or not) that the Israeli state has never been interested in statehood for the Palestinians. They were always dragging along the rest of the world with rhetoric in that direction but their 1:00:13 actions always aimed for the opposite
Zionism isn't even a religious belief. In reality, the leaders of the modern Zionist movement that was created in Europe weren't motivated by religion. Many of them were actually secular or agnostic Jews. They saw the Jewish people more as a nation than a religious group. For them, Zionism meant establishing a separate political state for the Jewish nation. Originally Uganda and Argentina was proposed as a homeland for the Zionist before Palestine. *To put things into perspective, in the year 1891 Jewish people owned less than 1% of land in Palestine,* *where as Palestinians owned 99%. In 1947 that number was still at a low, with the Jews owning below 5% of Palestinian land.
But the State of Israel was created 76 years ago. Your argument is 3 generations too old. There are now over 7 million Israeli Jews..
Time to move on.
Research the Schofiled BIBLE zionism was very much built on religious beliefs. Written by an American conman ans financed by an American Jewish man.
The word zionism CLEARLY gets James’s back up. The caller was absolutely right and James was in denial. Israel’s Jewish and thus perceived White/Western character is absolutely in the interests of her allies. Only Germany I believe supports her based on promise alone.
It is a western outpost/security partner in historically hostile territory.
Precisely why Biden once famously said “if the state of Israel didn’t exist we would have to create one.”
Israel is crucial to the United State’s interests.
I propose a New Israel be established in central USA, same size as Israel and with land contributed from 3 or 4 adjoining States. Move Israelis there. It would not need special protection being surrounded by friendly States. There apparently are quite a few Jews in the USA already.
I say they go claim the real land of their ancestors in Europe!!!!!
HAMAS DIDNT START THIS JAMES! PLEASE CORRECT! This didn’t start on October 7th and Israel doesn’t have a right to do ANY OF THIS. Obviously, you can’t be considering both Palestinian and Israeli lives equally if this is your analysis.

In a state governed by an ultra ethno-nationalist ideology, only the one Chosen ethnicity can live in a "democracy".
It has always been Netanyahu's position. "From the river to the sea, not an Arab will you see" was a Likud's party chant. The river is not the Jordan but the Euphrates. The 2 blue bands on the Israeli flag represent the rivers Euphrates and Nile, and the Star of David is Greater Israel in between, taking in 1/2 of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, 1/2 of Iraq 1/2 of Saudi Arabia and the Sinai to the banks of the Nile. The world is entitled to know what Netanyahu proposes as a solution, if the two- state option is ruled out.
Look at the west bank and you have your answer.
Except in Gaza they are using the war as an excuse to make the process faster. They want to have control over the entire territory, treat any Palestinian as a 3rd class citizen (non-white Jews are the 2nd class, if anyone wants to know), and then expand into the "greater Israel".
Hamas Will continue to exist. If they're pushed into Sinai, they will throw rockets from there, and eventually Israel would invade that part.

I don't think he gets the time to investigate. He seemed a bit off on zionism as well but the natural compassion has made him see alot more then we could hope for from a brit talk show. James is fair
And I'm not sure that he's yet aware of Point 16 of the Hamas Charter of 2017 which superceded the Hamas Covenant of 1988, in which it's states "Hamas affirms that its conflict is with the Zionist project not with the Jews because of their religion. Hamas does not wage a struggle against the Jews because they are Jewish but wages a struggle against the Zionists who occupy Palestine". At no point does it call for the annihilation of the Jewish people.

If Israel were to annex the Palestinian territories, it would make those Palestinians their citizens, and give them voting rights (if they want to be a democracy)! The "new Israeli's" would comprise roughly 1/3 of the population. But if Israel has "security control" then that means that the Palestinians don't have a right to self governance (can't have their own armed forces, can't fully decide their own rules, have to endure the checkpoints and illegal settlements etc). Netanyahu has always been consistent, it just the people who have a leg in this; such as Britain and The US, who desperately want the world to believe this theatrical stage of Netanyahu and his like, whether they are in his party or a part of the government in Israel who ever considering a two- state solution! The fact Netanyahu and more right wing parties are within the government in Israel, speaks volumes. But again that’s something no1 as a presenter in the West ever wants to admit!
A place among nations, chapter Trojan Horse, published in 1993. Netanyahu never wanted peace with Palestinians since the early days of his political career.
Why aren’t we allowed to criticise them freely without being censored on youtube? I really tried commenting the same criticism comment using countries and politicians movements and I wasn’t censored! I’ll leave it to you to try and judge! Unbelievable special treatment they get indeed!!
You noticed
For any reasonable person who wants to make his mind about this horrible situation in Palestine, free your mind of any subjectivity, read history from various perspectives and you will see cristal clear.
@user -br9nv8vw91 True, Al Jazeera has plenty and people should look on youtube for a documentary, The Irgun the worlds first terror group, Israel from 1948. Also Millitant group Lehi aka the stern gang.
His ambition is to mirror the New Middle East map that he proudly presented to the UN Security Council in September 2023, which completely omitted Gaza and the West Bank.
I like that James pointed out being a supporter of say Great Britain existing doesn't mean you support Boris Johnson.
I think it's possible for someone to support the Palestinian people without supporting Hamas. Possible to be ok with Israeli existing and not have to agree with what the leadership is doing. Why do we still conflate the two?
I suggest everyone check out Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro. The man is principled and fiercly logical in his critique of Zionism.
Books and lock-down… when we are grieving and beyond stressed… the attention for reading is often one of the first things to go.
Hugh sounds like he was a beautiful little boy and so courageous. Sending love to you all 😢❤️
Thank you for the great fair and true media and journalism ❤
Only disagree with you that the majority of Israelis are with two state solutions!
Very tiny minority want that.
Fair, wwhhat a joke.
@@der1777 explain please
I'm sorry but the first message is wrong about Israeli support for the campaign right now is incredibly high. In a poll about a month ago or so, 80% of Israeli citizens were of the mindset that Gaza wasn't being bombed sufficiently enough. If anyone is interested in the source, I can look it up for you but it was also covered by The Majority Report on CZcams.
As for anecdotal evidence of support amongst the general population, I have a few examples. A principal in an Israeli school was forced to resign, and was heckled and jeered by the students of said school. The crime: sharing a post with sympathy for children killed in Gaza.
There are more cases similar of Israeli citizens getting harassed for showing any semblance of sympathy to innocent lives lost.
Final point I'd like to make us that if support wasn't so wholehearted, conscientious objection to the military draft would not be so rare.
Dolly's book program is one free book each month from ages 0-5. My two kids participated in the program.
Ah James, come on mate...how naive is it to ask why it is in the interest of other countries to want to keep Israel in its current state
Exactly! Is he is completely ignorant of all the billions worth of Gazan gas and oil? Or the Ben Gurion Canal project? Or war profiteering? Or all the bribes the Israel lobby pays out to their high-profile supporters??? Or the accusations that Epstein and Maxwell were Mossad agents honey-trapping influential paedophiles into backing Israel???How can these 'journalists' be so willfully ignorant? Or maybe they're paid to be....
For “from the river to the sea” discussion, please go to 53:30
Thank you
Dolly Parton is an international treasure!
In the context of land ownership "from the rivers to the sea" has been a phrase used to castigate Hamas, and rightly so. The Israeli PM (along with many of his government officials) have used the phrase in the past and are using it now in the public sphere, yet Western leaders say nothing.
Israel was doing it for a long, long time, you know it.
I find it funny when I hear ppl say that “Israel is a democracy 🥴😂🤦🏽♀️” that lady calling them monsters like ma’am yall really don’t have any self awareness huh 🤦🏽♀️
We knew that from the start.
Kudos to that second caller, Michael, who came with the facts, and James had very little pushback. He got him to concede that this is not new rhetoric or posture like he tried to feign like it is.
James, its astounding how naive you have been.
Netanjahu showed his map of greater Israel to the UN long before October 7...
Starmer doesn't want a Palestinian state either
The accusation of anti semitism is similar to calling the race card, it is a cop out. It has nothing to do with being jewish it is about being humane and just whether you are jewish, muslim israeli or palastinian, black green or pink
Spot on. An anti-Semite used to be a person who disliked Jews. Now it is often a person who zi ---- ts dislike.
There are Jews in the tens of thousands who oppose zi ----- m and are aghast regarding how Pals are treated.
Hamas since 2007 has modified its position and offered peace to Israel a number of times.
Isn't that antisemitism, from the river to the sea?
Antisemitic and not anticanaanite 😢
Only when brown people say it.
Is disgusting that the A roads are 20 mph. The car doesn’t even like to drive at 20 mph is ridiculous
It would be beautiful if people would just turn their backs on the UK, let you staff tyour NHS yourselfs, fill up your shelfs and so on.
A sense of disgust by the words the river to the sea.
The majority of israeli people do have the same mentality as natenyahu and his government. 90% support what the natenyahu government is doing and 60% think that there should be a more proportionate response. The fact that the caller and the message say that 'natenyahu will not be in power' or that 'israel is democracy' is ridiculous. That is a democracy that elected natenyahu into power time and time again, so what does that say ahout the israeli people? The ones who do want peace and are protesting are the minority and are often times being jailed or harrassed because of their opinion.
Many who support israel or are still clinging to the idea that it's a 'democracy' and think that the majority of israelis are reasonable people who want to live with their neighbors are either delusional or purposely ignoring the facts
You're right
