As an American Citizen, I am tired of Netanyahu giving me the finger with one hand and with the other hand outstretched, accepting over half a trillion dollars within 20 years. America needs to take Netanyahu's advice and tell our friend, 'no'.
America has become Israel's lapdog and I am disgusted.

And speaking of GDP, would paying American companies to build single family homes and GIVE THEM FOR FREE to poor working Americans have the same effect on GDP as giving weapons to another State?

The original 1977 party platform stated that "between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty."[127][128]
The 1999 Likud Party platform emphasized the right of settlement.
The Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza are the realization of Zionist values. Settlement of the land is a clear expression of the unassailable right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel and constitutes an important asset in the defense of the vital interests of the State of Israel. The Likud will continue to strengthen and develop these communities and will prevent their uprooting.[129]
Similarly, they claim the Jordan River as the permanent eastern border to Israel and it also claims Jerusalem as belonging to Israel.
The 'Peace & Security' chapter of the 1999 Likud Party platform rejects a Palestinian state.
The Government of Israel flatly rejects the establishment of a Palestinian Arab state west of the Jordan river. The Palestinians can run their lives freely in the framework of self-rule, but not as an independent and sovereign state. Thus, for example, in matters of foreign affairs, security, immigration, and ecology, their activity shall be limited in accordance with imperatives of Israel's existence, security and national needs.[129]

There is nothing which should surprise you James about the Prime Minister’s statement, and despite all the elections they have had in the last several years, almost every year, the politics of Israel towards the Palestinians will not change. It is absurd the number of callers you have had phone in, think the ground conditions will change if Netanyahu is removed, it is FACT, they won’t change. Netanyahu while a despot is not the worst. What will change is when the USA puts pressure on, perhaps even a squeeze by the EU of economic sanctions may be enough, the thought of an Arab/Persian/Ottoman alignment may sharpen the dynamics. I will celebrate when the Palestinians have their own state, I care about the minority of Israelis who realise the injustice, but for sure they are a minority at the moment.

Zionism isn't even a religious belief. In reality, the leaders of the modern Zionist movement that was created in Europe weren't motivated by religion. Many of them were actually secular or agnostic Jews. They saw the Jewish people more as a nation than a religious group. For them, Zionism meant establishing a separate political state for the Jewish nation. Originally Uganda and Argentina was proposed as a homeland for the Zionist before Palestine. *To put things into perspective, in the year 1891 Jewish people owned less than 1% of land in Palestine,* *where as Palestinians owned 99%. In 1947 that number was still at a low, with the Jews owning below 5% of Palestinian land.

Hamas Will continue to exist. If they're pushed into Sinai, they will throw rockets from there, and eventually Israel would invade that part.

1:30:39 that "not necessarily profound distinction between security control and sovereignty" is EXTREMELY profound. If Israel were to annex the Palestinian territories, it would make those Palestinians their citizens, and give them voting rights (if they want to be a democracy)! The "new Israeli's" would comprise roughly 1/3 of the population. But if Israel has "security control" then that means that the Palestinians don't have a right to self governance (can't have their own armed forces, can't fully decide their own rules, have to endure the checkpoints and illegal settlements etc). Security control is literally occupation, and it's worse than sovereignty.

    Very tiny minority want that.

I'm sorry but the first message is wrong about Israeli support for the campaign right now is incredibly high. In a poll about a month ago or so, 80% of Israeli citizens were of the mindset that Gaza wasn't being bombed sufficiently enough. If anyone is interested in the source, I can look it up for you but it was also covered by The Majority Report on CZcams.
As for anecdotal evidence of support amongst the general population, I have a few examples. A principal in an Israeli school was forced to resign, and was heckled and jeered by the students of said school. The crime: sharing a post with sympathy for children killed in Gaza.
There are more cases similar of Israeli citizens getting harassed for showing any semblance of sympathy to innocent lives lost.
Final point I'd like to make us that if support wasn't so wholehearted, conscientious objection to the military draft would not be so rare.

Exactly! Is he is completely ignorant of all the billions worth of Gazan gas and oil? Or the Ben Gurion Canal project? Or war profiteering? Or all the bribes the Israel lobby pays out to their high-profile supporters??? Or the accusations that Epstein and Maxwell were Mossad agents honey-trapping influential paedophiles into backing Israel???How can these 'journalists' be so willfully ignorant? Or maybe they're paid to be....

In the context of land ownership "from the rivers to the sea" has been a phrase used to castigate Hamas, and rightly so. The Israeli PM (along with many of his government officials) have used the phrase in the past and are using it now in the public sphere, yet Western leaders say nothing.

The accusation of anti semitism is similar to calling the race card, it is a cop out. It has nothing to do with being jewish it is about being humane and just whether you are jewish, muslim israeli or palastinian, black green or pink

There are Jews in the tens of thousands who oppose zi ----- m and are aghast regarding how Pals are treated.

The majority of israeli people do have the same mentality as natenyahu and his government. 90% support what the natenyahu government is doing and 60% think that there should be a more proportionate response. The fact that the caller and the message say that 'natenyahu will not be in power' or that 'israel is democracy' is ridiculous. That is a democracy that elected natenyahu into power time and time again, so what does that say ahout the israeli people? The ones who do want peace and are protesting are the minority and are often times being jailed or harrassed because of their opinion.
Many who support israel or are still clinging to the idea that it's a 'democracy' and think that the majority of israelis are reasonable people who want to live with their neighbors are either delusional or purposely ignoring the facts
