      It wasn't a great way to get ppl to support your cause at the same time it is a bunch of rocks, the earth is made of the same rock it's all roughly 4billion years old, you could go to a random field somewhere dig down a metre and find rocks that have been in that location for a similar length of time. It's not worth clutching pearls over. I can't see corn starch really doing much that decades of acid rain won't do. The stones have survived two world wars and the industrial revolution.

At my age the friends who gush over children are now mostly grandparents and great-grandparents, but it just seems odd to me on a personal level. Odd in a way that their having some sort of obscure hobby or activity doesn't result in my feeling otherness about it but this desire for progeny does. On the marriage issue, we were both incredible romantics about it. When I proposed after our being in a relationship for three years, two of which we were living together, her response was "why?" I replied that taxes would be less and I could put her on my work health insurance policy, something which is quite important in the U.S. On that basis she agreed it made sense.

    I feel like smashing my head against the wall. The blind spot on this is just staggering, and PRECISELY the reason why JSO targeted Stonehenge. Just look at the IMMEDIATE global attention this act has received. Look at how INSTANTANEOUS the response has been, centered around the topic of archeological sanctity and "conservation"..."guardianship". And yet, when it comes to CONSERVING and guarding the natural environment..... tumbleweed! Crickets! Nada. Zip!!!!
    The hypocrisy could not be more clear, and that is PRECISELY the point JSO are making by pointedly targeting artworks and national monuments. They are holding a gigantic mirror up, in order to point out the very glaring reality that planet earth is fast approaching a catastrophic, species ending event. If the reaction to a circle of stones being daubed in cornstarch was the same as reaction metered out on our elected officials taking kickbacks on loop from the oil industry, and we actually held them to account and put a stop to this madness, then we would be making progress. But UNTIL this utter madness stops, of rampant exploitation and profiteering by big oil, then JSO will continue to hold that mirror up at all of us, and say the same thing every single time; WHEN are you going to hold those in charge responsible and when are YOU going to do something to help change things.
    Until then, please stop with the pearl clutching about Stonehenge. Our druid and pagan ancestors would be right behind JSO, cheerleading them at every single step. I'm a pagan and I couldn't be prouder of them. They were not desecrating the site, they were using mother earth to amplify our voice. And it worked. Here you are.

    RE: how much impact does storing emails have on the environment? Sensible useful answer is a lot less than it was on paper forms of storage. It's one of the greatest successes of the digital world. Imagine finding a tree, cutting it down, turning it into paper etc.. I used to work for the government in a massive information retrieval centre in the 90s. staffed by hundreds of people with its own power systems to keep everyone warm and comfortable and to look after the quality of the paper humidity wise. Everybody's information that's now all held on a tiny hard drive that does nothing unless you access it. Almost Zero energy unless you access it. If you accessed a government file back then you have to pay someone to go into the information retrieval centre staffed by hundreds of people and they would physically go and look for it and pass it to somebody that'll get past to somebody else and so on until you could meet at some point in the High Street in a government office and talk about it. It's unbelievable how effective the digital world has been at reducing waste and wasted energy in this respect.. I don't know how you would even begin to measure it, but yes, it's clearly better. Think about it.. maybe you have to have worked in one of these places to realise. Just how ridiculous waste can be compared to the extraordinary technology we take for granted now.. Just imagine before the '90s if you wanted to learn something how you had to go to the library. How slow learning was back then. It's an exponential curve.

    I do you have regrets about being a parent but that's when I'm at my worst. My most down, my darkest moments , at my high points days I look back at with real pride in myself. Happy days full of extraordinary joy that I had never known before in my life.. I realise what would I have swapped it for? What amazing thing would I have swapped it for ? when you buy things and do things even World travel it can start to feel a bit empty at some point. I have had incredible experiences in my life before I had kids and it took me awhile to adjust to being limited in that respect for a while.. The deeper you get into it, the more incredible and wonderful it gets. Unlike searching out a bigger house or a new thing to buy or the next holiday even . and I have done that. To a level most people would never know. My only regret is how since I had my kids , weeks before brexit that people like farage are willing to throw them in the line of fire and for what ? that's my only downside to it. Thise dark minds on the edge of retirement, not looking forward anymore. Are they? They're looking backwards. They are more than happy to put these beautiful kids that I've spent all this time rearing in the line of fire for their sick ideology. They are the people that bring poison to this world and pain and fear, they thrive on it.

    31:30 -->
    Many people can't understand in what difficult position is humanity at this moment... So, I will try to make it a simple picture to them to understand...
    Imagine there's a train and it's heading towards a cliff, it's a matter of minutes before it gets there but almost everyone on that train is having a big party...
    Some people on the train are freaking out because they know this line they took goes to a cliff... and they ask the driver who's having the best party of his life and he replies, "Don't worry, no problem, we've got time ...". They trust him so they continue their party normally...
    Only one girl is brave enough and she never stopped shouting to everyone trying to warn them, going from carriage to carriage, she even went to the driver but he kicked her out, no one listens to her...
    So she goes to a spot so they can see her, she grabs a bottle of champagne and throws it and it smashes into a really nice piece of art and destroys it. So everyone stops the party, the music stops and she takes the opportunity to yell at them: "Stop the train! We're going to a cliff! We're all going to die!"...
    And one or two, maybe even three people, say, "What a shame to destroy a work of art"... and another says, "How rude! what kind of behavior is this?"... another says, "How dare he spoils the party, is it a bum?...". And then everyone continues their party as usual... except the girl...
    Put yourself in that situation, what would you do to distract their attention? What else must do young people to distract the attention of leaders to do urgent policies for Climate Catastrophe? A Climate Catastrophe that is here, not coming... is here, now!

    James' usual moronic take on an issue. Comparing stopping traffic to spraying stonehenge in paint. As if it has to be one or the other. On parenthood. For anyone listening, I want you to understand that Parenthood is like the first love of your life. It's like when you meet your first girlfriend or boyfriend and fall in love, you get out of it what you put in. If you don't make the time to bond with your children? and sometimes a tremendous expense financially , then you won't get anything out of it. Time together like when you first fell in love. Can you remember that ? life's not about shopping? It's about love. Even if you're completely cynical, I promise you love will give you greater joy in this life than shopping. So what are you swapping it for?. Freedom well that's where I used to be but freedom to do what.. are you so old? Are you so lost? Can you not remember how incredible being in love feels whenever you can trust me, that's how it feels. You can't understand how your friend feels when they first fall in love when you were 16. You have to be going through it yourself and you have to make time for it. It's just called bonding. That happens when you spend time one-to-one with people. I love James for so many reasons but he is a damaged private school boy and this is where he always falls down. Doesn't really understand that concept. It was beaten out of him at school. That is the entire point of those private schools. And he's one of the goodies from that world.. these programs are great, but maybe he could have spent his time better gathering wealth seems to make perfect sense until you really understand how short life is. It just doesn't matter.. only love. That's the treasure..
