      I wanna buy f150 (2019-2020) for long time and which engine is more reliable 3.3 natural aspirated or 2.7 ecoboost. for everyday driving?

      @@alexk163 I would recommend the 3.3 it's not a turbo and is very reliable, its also port and direct injection so no worry about carbon build up. 2.7 is more powerful but the 3.3 is tried and true.

      Actually the 2.7 has been around longer and is tried and true. But there’s certainly nothing wrong with the 3.3. The up side is less overall cost to own.

    3.3 best fuel economy,quiet ride and smooth performance. My truck is XL 150 Regular cab 2019. Basic truck even has roll up windows ! 2wd. Best truck I ever owned,all Ford's last 45 years!

      I just purchased 2018 with 3.3l also , wasn’t sure if I should have gone with eco boost but no regrets it’s a nice truck

    I had a 2015 F150 with a 3.5 naturally aspirated v6 absolutely love the truck got good gas mileage and had plenty of power for what I needed but I recently traded it in for 2019 with the 3.5 EcoBoost because my Towing needs have changed so far I'm in love with the ecoboost puts a smile on my face every time I drive it the power is crazy.

    I got a 2018 black xlt 4x4 with 302 A pckg s-cab with 3.3 & 6 speed trans, I love it I’m averaging 24 mpg highway & 19 city I couldn’t ask for a better truck, I get more torque & hp than my 2005 with the 5.4 & my 2001 with the 5.4 as well the 05 got around 13 mpg & my 01 got around 11 both were crew cabs & 4x4....I’ve only owned v8s before this truck & I can honestly say I can’t tell that I’m Driving a v6 the truck drives good,sounds good & gets great MPG plus if I need to tow 7000 lbs I can...definitely would recommend this engine!

    I think you'll be very happy with this truck. I bought one in March and it just went over 7000km. Now that it's broke in I changed the engine oil, and put in some Pennzoil Ultra Platinum full synthetic. I'd say I do about half highway half city driving and so far I seem to be getting about 10.5L per 100km combined. This is a great truck to buy if you don't have to tow heavy loads.

      @@Slavic_Boer Lol. Pennzoil USED TO BE shit. Things have changed. Now it is one of the best oils out there. Mobil is certainly good as well.

    I got mine 2019 xlt crewcab 2 years now, 66000 kms now in Canada. Never towing anything yet. Use as a daily commute in the city, and hunting truck during the fall. Everage gas mileage is 11.5 L/ 100 kms
    I do oil change every 8000kms.
    Truck has not a single issue except the front door limiter has little noise which replaced under warranty.

    I bought one 9/23/19 and I totally love it. XLT 3.3 and 3.55 axle ratio.

      @K Y On my window sticker under options it says 3.55 ratio regular axle. I was hoping it's limited slip since it has the full towing package like my old truck was. The guys at work says they are all limited slip today but mine doesn't say that, I think it's open axle.

    Whats up bro thanks for the video. No one talks about the 3.3L. I have a regular cab 2wd with the 3.3L for my small business. I wish I had gotten it at 4wd. Well, time for another truck and I will be looking at another Ford. I love Turbos, but I feel its more parts that can go wrong with a work truck. I was looking at a 5.0. But we do not tow really ever. My current 3.3L had about 65k miles on it and only have had tires and oil changes. I looking at getting the Super Cab with 4wd 6.5' or 8' bed. Whats you mpg with t he 4wd? Thanks again bro very helpful.

    I suppose the 2wd and 4wd have different screen options. I just purchased a used 2019 3.3l ecoboost and it has a much smaller display screen for the radio/console display. So far, it's great. I'll be dragging a boy scout trailer this weekend (3500 lbs) and see how that feels. Nice review!

      Maybe it was a fleet model with out sync3. I do know if you don’t get the tow package you get an old school green crt looking display in the dash.

    I have the 2020 xlt 3.3..
    I tow 4500lbs a couple times a week.. does good...no regreats... I had a 2018 xlt with the 5.0... yes it was a beast... but the 3.3 does fine. No regreats

      No complaints..
      I have the 3.3 with the 373 rear end

    hi - have a question - is the canister purge valve located on (48 sec)top of the engine? i got eng light p0440 code and not sure - how to locate it. i know - a weird question- but maybe you know

    I’m thinking of trading my 2017 Mustang GT for a 2019 f150 XLT with the 3.3V6. I love my mustang and it is so much fun. But I need more room for my growing family plus it would be nice to haul/tow every now and then which you absolutely cannot do with the mustang. I’m driving out 70 miles to go see the truck at the Ford dealership- we shall see.

      If you’re going to do any towing make sure you get the factory tow package. It will be prewied for the 7 pin and give you the better instrument cluster screen. Otherwise the base looks like an 80’s green crt.

    Because u can get the 3.3 F150s for dirt cheap, Im thinking about slapping a BorgWarner turbo on it the same company ford uses on their ecoboost engines.. since it makes nearly 300hp stock I think a borgwarner turbo could give it a massive torque and HP boost down low call it my own 3.3 v6 boost lol

    Becides the duratec water pump fiasco, they are great engines. My mom has an edge with a duratec motor and it's like butter and has lots of power.

      From my understanding they have corrected that issue for the 3.3.

      Only transverse cylcone motors have internal water pumps. If you rock RWD in a mustang or F150, you are good to go.

      To my understanding, it doesn't concern the F150 since the water pump on our engines isn't internal like the Edge and Explorer.

    For the previous models what made you choose the 5.0 over the natural aspired 3.5 v6. ? n/A is always the most reliable ..good choices.

      Guillermo Ortiz my 2 previous were 5.0 because that was what was on the lot when I bought. The 13 in Canada you couldn’t get the 3.5 in a SCrew with 4x4, not till 15 when it went aluminum. For the 16, a friend owns a dealership and that one someone ordered it but cancelled it after delivery.

    I've been hoping to find a good demo of the 3.3L hauling a payload of about 1200lbs. I'm wondering if the cost savings is worth it.

      When we go camping I’m pulling about 2500lbs and at least 500lbs in the bed. I averaged around 12.7L/100km for 4000km. The 5.0 V8 I had with 3.31 rear end did the same. Only unloaded will you see the 3.3L beat the others in mileage. If it’s only a couple of times a year, go for it. If it’s every day, look at the V8. Cheers

    How did you find the 3.3 in a XLT? I only find XL’s. Did you custom order?

      It is tough to find a 3.3 up here. When dealers get them in they sell first but they don’t get as many as other engines. Ford pushes the 2.7 hard. XLT is pretty much the lowest trim you’ll find here. So no I did not custom order. Just need to be patient.

    Do you do your own automotive work? If so how easy do you find it is to work on common items? (air filter, spark plugs, oil changes, brakes etc.)

      K G I try to. Somethings I can’t do. If it would take me more than a day or two. I take it somewhere, can’t have daily drivers down for too long, wife wouldnt be to happy. As for this truck, I haven’t had to do anything yet. Everything you mention is easily accessible.

      @@thecraighouse9246 Yeah that makes sense, I actually ended up buying the 2020 3.3L and it seems easy to work on. Question though, does your engine make the same noise as mine that I posted in this video? It's like a rapid "typewriter" type ticking coming from what seems like the upper drier side bench.       Just checked mine. It ticked for about 5 seconds then stopped and settled down. How cold was it when you took the video? Check your oil level first.

      @@thecraighouse9246 It was only around 20 Celsius here, and oil levels are good as well. Apparently the Ford Techs said it's normal, and that it's the high pressure fuel pump making the sound, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't skeptical.

    I actually have that same display on my 2019 XL regular cab 3.3L and mine didn’t come with any of the tow stuff on the dash.

      Do you have the green screen in between? Do you have back up assist pro? The green is what comes with a lower end truck otherwise I think it’s called a productivity display.

      chuckwalla 2 in the automotive world we get both but metric is not always first. Looking at a brochure now, length is metric first but towing shows imperial first. And power is always imperial.

    Traded it in for a 19' 3.3
    Wish I wouldn't have . I did it for the towing capacity

      Did you mean the 3.5? The 2.7 has always had a higher tow rating than the 3.3L. That said the 3.3 is rated to 7000lbs, ish. But 3500 is where it’s happy for everyday. Cheers

      I’m at 16,600km and I’m averaging 14.5 l/100km. That is at 90% town, doing 5 minute drives.

    Just traded in my 18 with 70k on it. The 3.3 is a great engine and trouble free for the 70k. The problem is 80 mph which is the speed limit here in Utah worked it to death. My new 2022 with the 2.7 EcoBoost runs 80 with zero effort in 10th gear. Also gets a lot better gas mileage, 26 mpg in eco mode. If I ran my 3.3 at 80 it would struggle to get 20mpg.
    Dealer gave me a LIFETIME WARRANTY can you believe that!
    Spend a little more and get the 2.7, you wont be sorry!

    Nobody gets a5.0 for gas mileage...5.0 is for reliability and power... the 3.3,2.7,3.5 are throwaway engines

      @@preshj0hnson probably watched too many scotty kilmer videos or something. I drove a 5.0, and yes it's powerful, but doesn't make sense to group the 3.3 with the ecoboost models when it's not one.

      @@preshj0hnson From everything I researched it's a fully competent engine. Considered buying one but got a Silverado with the 4.8L instead.
      The Ford 6 speed paired to the 3.3L has less sensor issues than their 10 speed, which would be the real reason to choose it over the 5.0L
      That's about all I know. As you mentioned there's very little info available. Maybe no news is good news?
      For $37k near new and fully loaded, I would bring it to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection.
      Cost a bit of money, but my mechanic inspected at a few trucks for me, and I felt it was worth it.
      My particular Silverado 4.8L was what he recommended after fine-combing them all. It's been great. My buddy was stuck and it pulled a 35 foot trailer out of the mud when his old F250 was having 4x4 issues.
