To be clear, the extra license was for Motorsports Association Malaysia (MAM) not K Car Global. Why it had to be cash only we aren’t entirely sure.
It's motor racing in Asia... if there isn't a payoff or bribe at some point, is it really a race? 🤣
It's the local track organisers trying to fleece more money from the unknown foreigners and nothing to do with the license at all. That's how it normally works in Malaysia.
Likely because they had to process the licensee on the spot for you guys to race ASAP. Standard procedure for it usually takes 7 days, of which a bank transfer is accepted. But since it's the weekends, bank would only process any international transfer the next week.
Tax exempt non declarable income
In Thailand and Malaysia if you not paying cash for some extras that not entirely what would seem the the norm then you not having the experience of a lifetime lol .
The finish parade lap was awesome, this sort of magic is lost in the first world thanks to overdose of safety/regulations .

fr dude. I was watching since I was 13, now I'm 25 with a Perodua Viva. They teached me that every car has its own potential, and it's up to the owners to find it. Loving my car, light (we figured out that's not a good thing lafter recent scandal lol), nimble, economical as hell, and they can take some pretty good beating!

the vibe i get from this racing series is so similar to the 24 Hours of Lemons in the US. the most fun we have is when EVERYONE can get their car across the line at the end of the 24 hours. teams work together to patch things together, friendships are built, and fun is had. this is such an epic adventure, im glad you guys were able to participate in something that some of us in the other "crappy car" world feel all the time. nuggets racing is the best of the best.
I'd LOVE to see the boys come over and do Lemons one year. If they could pull this off, they could make a lemons race happen for sure.
I'm a sensitive bloke, that loves cars and quite a few beers. 30 minutes in and ive got double vision hearing the team talk about the Aussie anthem, and the start of the race. MCM is the best car geek content available on line. It caters to all. Thank you, Marty, Moog and everyone behind the scenes. You've allowed us all to be inspired, given confidence, and created relatable content for so many people. The joy and enthusiasm from you is typically Aussie, but youve brought the whole world along with you. Thank you so much for all of these specials, and the regular content you produce. Chopped
This story still gets to me. It's still a story more than just about a race. So much love and comradary between everyone, total strangers. I still teared up watching this extra episode on the event. Seeing the kindness from total strangers in the shops you visited for local snacks, tools, to the total strangers you were in competition with willingly jumping in to keep you all going, it's all a massive victory. A victory not just for car enthusiasts but humanity itself. In a time when everyone makes a competition out of everything that's not one, fighting each other til bridges burn, this story showed humanity can still come together and give helping hands in something that legitimately was a competition. I hope this story gets out further than just the automotive community. There's so much to learn from this. And as you guys said, you can make dreams happen from starting with nothing, just go out and try. Work together, not against each other. Easily the highlight of your journey so far for me. And a personal highlight for 2023 for me. Thank you all, again.

I've finally sorted it out: Marty is the Paul McCartney of this pair. Moog is the John Lennon. It's not exact; M & M are each unique and complex. But what a pair; what a phenomenon is MCM. Been watching since the days of the Blue Turd and living vicariously through you guys this whole time. Seeing the team make it to the very end was emotional. I hope you guys keep joining this race series again in the future.
Absolutely epic, loved every moment of it. Really shows what good mates are for and also just how good grass roots racing is, especially endurance racing. People all coming together to get through adversity, and have a bloody good time doing it. Oh wow... Of all your videos I watched, this was one of the absolute best I ever seen. So congratulations to all of you for finishing the race after all the issues you had with both the headgasket and gearbox. Even I got goosebumps just watching this whole event. Here is now at the moment the coldest time of the year in Finland. With temperatures way under -20 celcius for almost a week now. But watching stuff like this makes it a little easier to wait out the winter, until I again can take out my motorcycle on all the twisty roads I have in my neighbourhood. So thank you all so much. I will be waiting for your next 24h event. Your the best.

Can we take a moment to recognize the badass that is Julian? Man comes out of nowhere to quietly and humbly kill it on the track and in the garage. On top of that, you'd think he was a veteran on the channel with the confidence and charisma he spoke with.
