Sending you another huge thank you Adalia for allowing us to show up and talk about our experiences and summit on your channel. You and all the ladies in this space are an inspiration, and I am honored to be a part of this movement to continue inspiring, mostly women to reassess their life and embrace change as needed. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Michelle is raising a world citizen that is not trapped within a racialized social construct and is aware and able to appreciate his heritage as a Black person. I love it!!

My grandma always told me “don’t stay where you are not wanted.” Pretty much sums it up. As a Black woman, I am definitely feeling unwanted and unwelcome in the land where I was born.

I've been traveling since the 1990s, living in 5 different European countries - my soul never felt at ease in any of those countries. Adelia is picky, and she chose Mexico. That says a lot. I am so glad that African Americans are feeling happy in Mexico. Historically, Mexico has been a safe haven for Africa Americans.
Although I know that colorism exists in Mexico, I was never made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. I believe this interview seals the deal for me.
What is wrong with running away? If you are not happy, you should run, walk, fly , and swim to a place where you can feel comfortable and safe.
    Viva Mexico!

Moving abroad has helped me to experience what it is to be seen as a human and woman…not the way America racializes us first. I feel more myself outside of the US - I am going on one year living outside the US and Adalia your channel was such a beacon - Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad message that helped me to put my immigration plan in place and move…I’ve been in Mexico for almost a year and IM not looking back!!!

At @22:48 yes it makes us sick, angry and disempowered and then if we show any anger we are the "angry black woman." HUMAN'S have always....nomaded...for food, safety & resources....this is since the beginning of time....

I'm a white single mother of 7. I would really like get out of the US. I don't have community here, either. What this lady said resonates with me. And mostly, I want to give my kids a better life. What happened to America?!

Hello everyone! Whe n asked why am I leaving the US. I have a prepared written reason. That I send to them “Dr Martin King and Mr Malcom X and countless others, fought a good fight which is still being fought today. President Obama is still trying to gain equality which is the same screams from eras gone by and still we are given nuggets to aid in the economics. The struggles and fights that we may seem as a win is met with brand new unjust issues, or a decorated redesign of the social and economic issues that we as “people of color“ will continue to endure. So leaving this country is not running away from a fight. It’s why continue to fight an unending battle with people who have inherited hate, easily influenced by opinions; and facts be damned. You hate what you fear and you fear what you hate. Enough is enough “

    • @YogaBlissDance

True some cannot, but with that belief then it's true "you cannot move," even if you could with some effort and ingenuity. These countries are CHEAPER, you need less money.

American empire is falling, failing for all. Just do all the research( not just availability of your hair care products!) before jumping off, e.g. K*nya, *wanda... Good stuff.

The way i explain it is this - americans, yt americans specifically, are not a prize. American society is not a prize. If i have to live with a group of caucasians, i would rather french yts than american yts. People who direct, value culture and beauty, created laws where the govt cares for its people as #1, that made education and health care free, that value 5 weeks of vacation, etc. Thats more of a prize.
