UW mill is genuinely a thing of beauty. I think Ghostly Flicker could be very good tho. It can blank removal, it can reset the ring counters, it can also blink lands for more mill.

I actually run Scheming Symmetry (the dual-person tutor) to enable trap and sideboard a Terminus for quick matchups. I never moved off Esper for more than a few weeks.
Also allows me to run 1-of for some SB cards for higher impact.

In the 2nd game, the other player could tap mutavault for mana when you solitude it to get 2 merfolk.

Probably not as strong as modern, but years ago I played a white/blue mill deck in standard using mill enchantments and white board control. This was back in ixalan times cuz settle the wreckage was a big part of the deck. Just a bunch of enchantments that would kill the opponent whenever I drew a card and ways to draw more cards. I remember there was a 5 mana enchantment that would mill the opponent for 3 at my upkeep and then I draw a card for each land(?) milled this way so I had more draw triggers for psychic corrosion and tried to find fraying sanity from amonkhet to finish them off.

the enchantment you're thinking of is "Patient Rebuilding". sounds fun!

    Premature concede in g1m1?
He was tapping all his non-token merfolk to get more tokens. But they don’t have haste. So he passes back to you with a mega-swarm of merfolk tokens, but then you supreme verdict, yes?

not only that but the turn before he had lethal if he just played all the crabs then cracked field of ruin and played land for turn, and at the moment he conceded he could've milled him for 9 with field of ruin and just play a land and pass. yeah he punted that game in lots of ways

In the last game, wouldn't it have been an idea to not Path the Endurance? Had opponent played two more mana symbols the following turn Klothys would have been a creature and pathable.

I'm not huge on this one. Since you are on the mill game plan, you really want to get Ruin Crabs down early...which inherently butts heads with the fact that you want to cast Verdict to wipe the entire board, killing half your wincon. Furthermore, you'll oftentimes just get stuck with mill cards in hand while your opponent has a three turn clock on you and thirty cards in their library, where you don't have enough removal spells to manage their board, and not enough mill to actually win. Feels like a "worst of both worlds" scenario--you either want more mill cards to kill them faster, or you want more control cards to match their threats.

I ran a bant, Hedron crab, scapeshift deck using ranger of eos to tutor for the crabs. You won’t build it modern…
