- Mosaic collage from painted sticky labels - another fab mixed media art technique from Shelley Rhodes' book, Fragmentation and Repair. I use layered mixed media techniques on sheets of sticky labels, then pull them apart and reassemble them in four mini collages in my sketchbook.

It’s cool isn’t it! They still hang together as they’re from the same piece but you get interesting juxtapositions. It reminds me of those sliding puzzles 😅
Lovely technique which reminds me of paper weaving which achieves similar effects - mashing it up! A fun way to make cards or bookmarks.

I have a random question:
Have you done altered books or art books/ journals?
I have done a bit of art journaling in homemade junk journals and altered books, but mostly I have used sketchbooks. I like making my own books though so I’d like to do more of it!
Oh my goodness! I love this! This probably sounds stupid, but how did you get the stickers to flatten back out again after they were wet?
Also... I was rather wishing you would mix different sizes.
To be honest, they didn’t really curl up or wrinkle at all- possibly because the combination of the stickers and the backing made the whole thing quite thick. But I didn’t use anything super watery, I don’t know how it would work with watercolour
