    Here are a couple I’ve used. Kids toys. Boys trucks have awesome texture and they roll! Doll shoes, Barbie, other dolls even the dolls walking across a canvas. Packaging from fruit, there is a green diamond mesh that works well. Drywall tape, I don’t know what you call it, crime scene plastic fencing. It’s done for construction and for home owners. Potato mashers, tools for the garden. Egg carton bottoms-that’s about all I can think of off hand!

    Pill bottles are great cuz each nottle actually has multiple size circles, mine do at least. You can use the opening for stamping, as well as the bottom cuz hoth have a dofferent look. Then the cap aslo has 2 different size, or looks, circles. And...they make great handles for mounting homemade stamps onto AND storing little things in. Pill bottles! Who knew hahaha and if you're a real wreck like me, you have several different size bottles to start with 🙄

    You need tons of things for mixed media. They always say it is cheap and if you don´t have supply x you can use y instead - but anyway you need many supplies.
    It never ends - acrylics and stamps, pan pastels and pastels, watercolors and gouache, different colored pencils (water soluble and waterproof), neo color I and II, hot press water color paper, mixed media paper. Make your own journal - cheap and fun, but first you need supplies for book binding ; )
    All the ephemera and magazines for collage, the scrapbook paper, the stamps and stencils... Inktense blocks and markers. Gelatos. Different mediums like matte medium, retarder, gloss gel and on an on.

    • @KarenCampbellArtist
      @KarenCampbellArtist  Před 9 měsíci

      Not really though. You can do TONS with just a few supply. It’s a choice! People jsut love all the things, and that’s totally fine! But it’s all completely optional. I have loads of videos (hundreds) where I have 2 supplies in my mixed media project! If you need some links just let me know.

  • @ibkristykat

    Fairy fro from a DISH CLEANING SPONGE with handle. I doubt a sponge like that could clean a toilet. Just saying since when I worked at a store and stocked them, toilet brushes are stiff bristled and big and round like that but not made of sponges. That most likely is to help clean out glasses/cups.

      Thanks! Typically I don't use anything I'd use for art to actually clean anything afterwards so regardless of toilet or dishes, it's all good!

      I just picked up some end table drawers that I saw on the street! Sturdy n well made! I have seen where one can incorporate legs into them and people like them in that they use them to put toys, add a blankee to their lived ones room, i.e. child room. I saw this on Etsy.
      Anyways I picked up two drawers, n have the legs waiting for them..all I need is a cheerful color. Okay hun, I just love your channel as much as I love kacha!!!!!!!!

      @@KarenCampbellArtist l’m So sorry, I guess it’s just the idea of using a toilet brush freaks a lot of us germ-a-fobe’s out and how we dealt with it is recognizing that it’s just a simple bottle brush. Still love the creativity though!
