I got involved with stenciling and have been busy making items for a church bazaar using repurposed items from thrift shops, and 1/2 price items from the Joanne’s, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and low priced wood items from Walmart and Dollar Tree. I found you again today and realized that I can use your method for mixed media, for doing my stencils. I am really excited to try this . Thanks for your freebies. I will send you a photo of what I do with your techniques, using my stencils.

This series is so packed with info! I collaged on a stretched canvas a couple weeks ago and I used liquid matte medium. I started to doubt that it would adhere so I've left it untouched. Old papers and scraps are still stuck there so now I'm going to give your system a try. This was just what I needed to see to begin to clear things up. Thanks so much. Perfect timing💕

I would bet there are many artists that cry when we see how many options you have..Oh my.. I love your videos on supplies ( and cry a little 🤣😉) Thanks for showing the awesome stuff you can buy. Many of this stuff I didn’t knew existed Hugs from a little country on the other side of the world 🌎- Denmark ( we are about 6 million people in the hole country) 🙏😀 ❤️

@@KarenCampbellArtist yes you are Right...i have made junk journals for some years now and i have all Ways found some supplies but my biggest problem is finding some good and easy colors for the skin tones. I think when you use the gelatos it looks really easy. I was looking for some other just like them but.... can the crayons from Tim holtz used instead? Them I can get..

Loved that wish seen it before I had brought a mixed media notebook but I am a beginner I use it for my light mediums and have some fun but I have great water paper and heavy watercolor journals a least I am on the right track to do some of your fun mix media projects thanks a million Karen❤

Hi Karen, I’ve only recently discovered your books and CZcams and what can I say, I’m in love. My fave substrates used to be canvas panels/boards as I’m quite heavy handed… and also heavy duty watercolour paper! Love the look of the artboard pad in your vid. Very helpful tips. I have the best results on wood surfaces. Currently working on stretched canvas. But,like you said, too much give so I'm getting a lot of wrinkles.

Quick question, do you use acrylic paint & mediums in your watercolor journal? Does the paper buckle? I have tried soooo hard to use watercolor, I’ve learned that I really don’t like it. I have a heavy hand, and a bold eye. I prefer saturated color & can achieve better results with acrylics, paint & inks. (which I water down with water or flow aid, just not enough to compromise the paint film) I guess I’m just wondering if the paper will hold up, trying to decide if I want to make the investment in the journal....definitely have my eye on the Canson Plein Air art boards! P.S. I’m still blown away & humbled that you took the time out of your day to run to the art store, & record a video run through all of the substrates available. You’ve blown my mind at your willingness, & your helpfulness! You’re still on my *SUPER Hera* list...your absolutely awesome!!! 🤩👩🏻🎨⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Whatever you can do on canvas, you can do on watercolor paper as long as it's 140 lbs or higher. Did you see the first video in the series where I complete the whole project? Quick question, do you use acrylic paint & mediums in your watercolor journal? Does the paper buckle? I have tried soooo hard to use watercolor, I’ve learned that I really don’t like it. I have a heavy hand, and a bold eye. I prefer saturated color & can achieve better results with acrylics, paint & inks. (which I water down with water or flow aid, just not enough to compromise the paint film) I guess I’m just wondering if the paper will hold up, trying to decide if I want to make the investment in the journal....definitely have my eye on the Canson Plein Air art boards!
P.S. I’m still blown away & humbled that you took the time out of your day to run to the art store, & record a video run through all of the substrates available. You’ve blown my mind at your willingness, & your helpfulness! You’re still on my *SUPER Hera* list...your absolutely awesome!!! 🤩👩🏻🎨⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Whatever you can do on canvas, you can do on watercolor paper as long as it's 140 lbs or higher. Did you see the first video in the series where I complete the whole project?
