I’ve purchased a 4”x4” tiny sketchbook and some neocolor crayons for a trip in March and now I keep them in my bag just to have something I can scribble in just because. I’m all for low stakes, very low pressure, achievable goals - I.e. “check the box” for doing a page rather than “create something pretty” ❤️ Best of luck with your recovery - I hope you’re back to your creative self soon enough. And please know that it’s okay to rest too. ❤️❤️❤️

I was very fasinated how you use your collage paper snips and tried creating my own snips. They are not as good as yours but i think if i keep trying i will make it. Hi Russell (that’s my son’s middle name and he was named after my grandfather 🤗)! Thanks so much! Yes - keep creating! The older I get, the more I learn that growing in art is highly correlated with the QUANTITY of work made. Whether you think it’s good or not so good, keep making more of it ❤️
my fav collage medium is to screen shoot or taking pics of nature trees plants ect and other images that provide color and texture like sponges coral treebark river rocks ect then printing those onto paper for collage...

Hi Valerie ❤️ What if you took 5-10 papers that you like and made color copies of them and just used the copies to tear up for collage? That might help you get started. I have my grandfather’s stamp collection and am planning to. Make color copies so that I can reuse them whenever I want to 🤗

That’s a great idea for printing textures! I love using rock images for collage too - especially close ups of huge rocks by the lake 😍
