Uber eats is AWFUL in my area. Usually, I have to refuse 15-20 absolute trash order's before i get one kind of decent one. Doordash seems to have consistently higher offers, they do still have some trash ones, but nowhere near the amount I get from Uber. I've also never seen any kind of surge pay for food with uber.
Completely opposite in my area. Funny how different markets are better for certain apps. I Call DoorDash, DoorTrash in my area, I may get 1 decent order in 30 offers, almost everything is $6 and $7 or less, then the $10+ orders are 12-25 miles away.
You're lucky. I often have to decline 50÷ offers before getting a decent offer.
Weird. My experience is the exact opposite of yours. I’m in South Florida
I think everyone destroying UberEats has opened up more offers for DD. However, Walmart is destroying everything.
Mike, just a heads up if you weren't aware: if you turn on Uber X, even if you don't accept rides, you still get the benefit of bonus pay like surge and hotspots for the deliveries.
I always thought the surge that popped up for rideshare didn't apply to deliveries? What usually happens is I'll turn on rideshare then surge pops up, but if I turn rideshare off surge goes away completely for deliveries. If I keep both on (rideshare and delivery) I can see if I do in fact get surge on both but I'm betting I'll have to sift through rideshare after rideshare request constantly.
@@YourDriverMike You're 100% right, you would have to keep rideshare on to continuue to get surge. Apologies if I made it sound like it was more of a hack than it was. I think I noticed this on a day I did deliveries and had X on because it was slow on the Eats end.
My acceptance rate on UE has dropped from 44% to 16% in 2 days. The orders are either $2-$3 or they are like $9 for 10 city miles(no highways). Brutal.
The drawback to not having the mini zones that DoorDash uses is that offers will be given for several miles away rather than staying in a tight area. At least that's been my experience
Happy Thanksgiving! 😊
I agree I like the flexibility of “No Zones.”
He has the general idea lol he's not a true rookie. It's basically the same concept and common sense if you've done one or another of the platforms. Btw here in Northwest Arkansas we never get surge on food orders. Only rarely on Uber Rides. It's kinda sad. Trip Radar is the trash orders that nobody wants.
Yes lots of similarities across apps within a niche! Wanted to check out his first UE shift though
Ive asked this in other places and have not got a clear answer. Do surges apply to eats orders? Cuz i think many drivers get robbed by not having surge while others do have surge.
Uber is bringing back quests in my location on thanksgiving . This is usually when I start seeing boost pay and quests. They will stop until next thanksgiving after I want to say march or April. For me and what I’m after Uber is a better app with no scheduling and the ability to come and go when I need to. Just keep in mind folks the cold months are your biggest opportunity for income with Uber. An example in dec and January there are weeks where food delivery can score me 900 a week which I feel is pretty good . Keep in mind that requires hrs invested like a normal job . 6 to 8 hr days invested.
From my experience if you can't get a dash schedule UE won't really give any offers.
Uber $ to mi ratio is complete crap. If I’m lucky on certain times of day I can get more stacked order than a good single. +$9 for 1.2mi. It helps and balances out

What are your thoughts on $/minute? I drive in California.
Crazy all those offers to me looks great ! I live in miami traffic is crazyyyyyyyy and all orders i received in my screen are 5mil $3 27min stuff like that ! Miami is crazy plus so many people working for uber 😢
Nova appears to be in my area though I tend to favor more westward outside of the Tyson's area (namely Sterling/Ashburn/Leesburg) which does get some good offers for Uber. Fairfax is about 10 miles south of there and that area, as well as Chantilly (going as far west as Aldie) is also a good area, especially Aldie as it gets a lot of high dollar offers.
As for Trip Radar, it does look like you get a lot of lowball offers, and those that actually turn out to be good if you select them it always ends up with "another driver matched to this request" which is just frustrating.
Funnily enough, my highest paying order on any gig app ever came from a trip radar. Displayed as a $38 for 2 deliveries from Total Wine, wound up clocking $175 from about an hour worth of work, most of it was driving to the customers. Tips came in clutch and both increased tips after the hour time frame of holding the tips. I'd say out of every 100 deliveries, I take 5 or less per. They typically are absolute trash.
I submitted a photo of my Costco bag as my pizza bag and they took it. Double use of that bag!
Yeah but when I’m desperate I take the $7 Lol and some of these other apps I am on a waitlist so I’m trying out Shipt to see how it goes
I don't have many deliveries in my area for DD so I tend to head over to a neighboring zone because they have better pay and order density but on Quest days Uber is far better due to the larger area. Sometimes I take tripradar but ONLY if its OMW and above my $2/mi min
I drive for Doordash in Ohio, In the market i am in. 1 for 1 is best you can get. 1.5 to 2 to 1 is far between. But at same time I can easily make 200 a day
So far the bonus of delivering on Thanksgiving day is that everybody deliver to is happy
I make more on Uber in my area. DoorDash is good but I can barely have any good consistent order volume.
What it says you’ll get paid and what you actually get paid is many times WAY different 😤
On Uber Eats, can you restrict where you get offers from? I'll get orders all over the place that make no sense.
100% facts ..
Same here. I'm sure Nova gets these all the time as I'm in his area, but there will be offers that take me to Potomac, MD. It doesn't look that far from his location (Tyson's Corner) but to get there you have to take the Beltway, and it's always jammed from Tyson's Corner to the American Legion Bridge, so when I see Potomac, it's an automatic decline, no matter how many times UE wants to send me the same order.)
I dunno about the $7 minimum cutoff...with me, I only take orders that are at least over $8 and it HAS to be $5 more than the mileage...so say its a 7 mile trip, it would have to be at least $12 or more for me to take it.
And with 2 batched orders, it HAS to be $18 or more, 3 batched orders, $27 or more, and again at least $5 over the mileage...is that a good formula?...or am I missing out on income not taking any $7 deliveries? 🤷🏻♂️
My thing is, if I do take any $7 orders, I might be missing out on a better paying trip had I not taken the lesser pay one...cause I do get some pretty good $7 ones that after I reject, here comes a better one...I dunno. 🤷🏻♂️...any input please??? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
If I do that I'll be waiting forever. I,ve been choosing at least $8, 8 miles. Uber doesn't give me trips more than that. I have never seen to get an order $8, 16miles.
i have in the past but it was a good order milage and dollars
My AR is 6% 1k deliveries
That guy is delivering in my market! (Nova) though i don't delivery in that part of town that he's in. He got a lot of solid offers. He doesn't show it but at least for me i get a lot of sub $5 offers that i decline immediately.
Yea...... Nova actually has like 10+ k deliveries on door dash and unjustly got deactivated
I’d ubereat in my area and it’s completely trash. There is one order that hv to travel 22miles (50min) for $10.50. Who would stupid enough to take that?
I got a suspension warning on Lyft when I declined to many rides I was at 36% acceptance rate at a point. They can hex you for that. Not sure about food delivery
I do both Uber Eats and GrubHub (Doordash deactivated me despite never doing a single run for them as they kept putting me on a waiting list,) and neither of them give you a warning like that for acceptance rate. My UE rating is currently at 39% though I've been as low as under 20% sometimes. As an independent contractor you should not be getting those warnings.
Pappa John's by me has free DD bags all the time.
Virginia Beach has none
I get trash offers at all times. They are unavoidable
In my market, I haven’t taken it Uber order and I don’t know how long they have been trash!
NC.
You gotta remember the tip isnt automatically added. You gotta wait a hrs for it to appear.
or get tip baited
re: No Zones Spark tends to move me between walmarts but as you know Spark has zones and you have to double your miles to get back to the walmart in your zone.
However, I will take some worse than normal Spark orders if it is taking me towards another Walmart(out of my zone)because UE almost always pings me for a delivery from that walmart out of my Spark "zone" so I am getting paid to drive back toward my Spark zone Walmarts
you gotta suffer a couple months, train the AI to know what you want to do and where you are likely to go and LEARN YOUR MARKET
there is a strategy to maximizing your efficiency and production, folks. it takes time to develop your own personal market strategy.
it takes time know wait times at each establishment, which places to avoid, traffic patterns, demographics(likely tips), etc.
also take advantage of smaller hotels on the freeway exits for break time, free ice, bathrooms, stretch break, etc.
also get a head lamp so you dont roll your ankle and can get a good photo if the house is dark
Nova works in my area
Uber Eats in West Central Georgia SUCKS lately. My AR was 40 3 weeks ago. Soon as I got there they started sending increased amounts of trash orders.
Have you ever thought of doing a video with tips on doing deliveries in an area one is not familiar with?
Biggest problem with doordash is the dead zones i think. There is a sonic in central point, or. It will however shoot you out to gold hill, or on a regular bases in between two zones.
Dash along the way will come up but gold hill, or has like 10 popular resturants. Why in the hell is it a dead zone?
When i called support and told them why don't they make rougue river, OR and gold hill, OR a new zone they said they hadn't incorporated it yet. Theres like 30 resturant in these 2 cities and it is not a zone. If it was we would get a dash back to medford, or and or grants pass, or.
Shrug...
I think they need to research the areas here and get resturants in the dead zones on board. Plus they should break medford up and make them different zones. Ashland, Talent and Phoenix should be its own zone. Central point, Gold hill (get them on board) , White City and Eagle point should be a zone. Rougue river is part of grants pass zone and that works. They really need to engage Gold hill so it is not a non dead zone. You will pull orders out of the city. Dollar general, Figaro's, Willy'd, Patti's and all sorts of others.
Get gold hill on board you will shoot us back out to Grants pass or Medford.
You will get an occasional gem on trip radar.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Pretty sure the time estimate is from current location ! And they are not accurate
Papa Johns was giving out free pizza bags to drivers at one time. I got one from them one night.
ROFL doordash dont give you jack diddley. Never got the bag ...
Nova has over 20k doordash orders bro I think he is an expert lol
Yes but first shift on Uber Eats!
@@YourDriverMike haha
Which he no longer has because there's an issue he hasn't resolved with his UE account and support is not helpful in resolving.
I’m really putting together a morning here I got 14 bucks on DoorDash and 10 bucks on Uber eats and now I found a Roadie. I might be able to do a local airport Delta luggage run.
I bet you if I set up another phone to do a live stream I could just start live streaming my Delivery runs, and people would just tune in to them for fun
And I could get donations for whatever CZcams calls super chat
I think you should care somewhat about acceptance rates if you are only using one app though.
I make 250-300 a day in that same market
Only DoorDash gave me free bags
Uber Eats is my bread and butter for me ...uber eats offers are way better than DD.
Uber eats is my least favorite app
Trash Radar is a joke and I think it was designed for rides, not deliveries...
I love the message "Your acceptance rate is lower than normal for your area" and yet 60% of the requests are pickups and/or deliveries outside of the zone I'm in...Good double standard
I also started Eats when it was just Eats and not WalMart or 4 tires and declining all those is about another 10-15% especially this time of year
Uber Eats can send you trash and send some really good orders. Do you guys think AR matters with these cats? I have seen absurd offers going many moon away.
