⚡️These Dasher orders pay 3x as much as regular runs, but do you qualify? czcams.com/video/kCa-rBDUs8k/video.html
I sit at home take everything nearby and it some ar worth it some are not biut i get high ratings and some disputes it takes too much time to dispute
Flint Michigan... Says enough right. But I can make $100+ a day multi apping with Instacart to supplement. However there is also a glitch with all apps
@YourDriverMike I found your channel by searching what the dashers see before accepting an order. I used to work for tips so I always tip well.. but I usually tip in cash. I make sure the delivery instructions say "will tip in cash" because I don't want the driver to think they're getting stiffed. But it doesn't look like you see the delivery instructions before deciding to accept the order.. is that correct? I always thought cash tips are better but if you cant see my note before accepting does it look like a no tip order?! That could explain why it occasionally takes a bit to find a dasher lol so is it better to pre tip when I order?
Coward kissaa
When I first started I took every order but that quickly ended. No going 6+ miles for 2 bucks. I think thats why door dash keeps hiring so many new people so they can take advantage of their lack of knowledge.
People taking low pay order killing themselves and other drivers.
I did the same when I first started. I thought I was being a good worker. I had to learn to turn down the orders with bad pay. My income with uber eats is much better when I'm selective about the orders I take.
Unfortunately if there isn't someone who is accepting the bad orders and the orders keep on getting rejected and passed around that's when doordash just randomly starts deactivate people.
Yup. I try not take any orders less than $10 and no further than 8 miles
I watched the videos and didn't take any of the low orders, unless I got one put in a stacked order. I drove 6 miles for $3... But I got lucky and got a $6 order just a half mile away from that order and it was just a half mile away from the store. I'm just doing it for beer money though. I'm retired and get bored watching my wife's tv shows at night.
Thank you for all the tips. This is my first time doing gig work. I multi-app today and made a killing. Declining low orders and concentrated on the better pay per mile. I drive big trucks for a living and use to the hustle life. Thank you again!!!!!
Mike, you have some of the greatest tips out there and I pass your CZcams channel long too many people that look like they need some tips from older couples to young college students to look like they’re just taking whatever comes our way. A few years back I was in Fullerton the spaghetti factory that was a bunch of drivers are waiting for orders. I had a really good order so I waited. I had three orders actually and I was asking people while I have you guys been waiting and then after that it was just giving tips to different people and handing out your name pretty much they can get up on game.
I just want to thank you for making these videos because before I started watching these videos, I was not making nothing. And everything that you say makes sense so now, if the tip is not more than the mileage, I will not except it.
When I first started declining bad orders, I was basing it off of how much money it was compared to how much gas I might have to pay for the trip. So, if an order paid $5.00, and it was an 11 mile order, if I went home right after that, it'd be 22 miles, which, for me, $5.00 is how much I might pay for 25 miles of gas, so I'd basically be earning nothing.
Omg Mike watching other drivers is my new favorite genre on this channel! 11:12 I don’t know how well the odometer thing would work because you can’t use the commuting miles between trips. I guess if you do it for each trip that would work. Tedious but it would work.
I use an MPV system.

It is amazing how this keeps me focused and generates future beneficial dash times for scheduling. Also keeps me from chasing promos in slow areas. The only rule is you got to dash to get enough info.
I dash from 3am to 11am because of heat and traffic during the prime times. I have zero heat/traffic stress for less pay. However, my pay isn’t that great during busy times anyway in a busy market.
Used to Dash when they were first starting out in San Antonio , TX . Was easily clearing 100$ in 3-4 hours of driving on normal orders. Then it dropped to maybe 80$ in 6-8 hours. Seems like Door dash is taking more and giving less then they used to.
The same with Uber Eats and Uber itself. Apps are now cutting pay to increase their profits for of course (shareholders)
Go look at the stock charts and select 2 yr and 5yr. These companies can’t afford to pay a living wage now that the pandemic is over. Stock prices are tanking hard!!!! Go look! 😅
Hey Mike!
Great analysis and why your helpful tips work and what's going right n wrong here!-;) Take care, stay safe and may all your shifts be prosperous!-:()
taking every order is crazy...Taking every order in a testla is beyond crazy lol
Completed my very first Door Dash run. It came to me fairly easy as far as learning the app. My only comparison was Lyft but even so, that knowledge helped. My active time: 1h 45m...Dash time: 2h 28m...6 deliveries...$35.96. This was all on time pay. Next time I'll try the normal way. By the way, I did accept a 12 mile delivery just because I was doing like Alex, accepting everything (shouldn't have) and it was $5.59 base pay with a $4.50 tip. *my market is Abilene, TX
Good video .I use stride as a mile tracker . Lately I noticed I can make better money at night then in the morning.
Dashing during peak time frames and certain neighborhoods make a big difference.
As a Dasher, I showed up to pick up an order for delivery and the order was not ready. The first time it was a flower order and the place ran out of flowers! The second was for a pizza and the pizza place was backed up and they said it would be an hour wait so I called support that I wanted to be paid for the delivery since I drove there and I was on time and I should be compensated. And Door Dash Support Representative agreed and I was paid for each delivery even though I wasn’t able to complete the deliveries. So be sure to call and ask if this happens to you. They won’t offer it, so you ask!
True but at the same time, I showed up to a Taco Hell 😂 and the place was closed. The manager and shift leader were walking towards their cars to leave. I said I had this order and they said you’re the 3rd person now to come for the order 😂 and it was canceled already. I was told by support I would get 1/2 pay but it never came 😂🎉 You spend more time chasing that $4 1/2 pay than it’s worth 😜
Hey Mike what’s up. Last few months doordash dead here in LI it’s grey almost all the time you can’t go online 😅
They have the acceptance rate now, meaning you have to keep a 50% or higher rate in order to get decent orders, meaning you have to accept 50/100 low-rate orders. People who dashed before this were retroactively effected, meaning when I came back to drive, I had a 25% a.r. (I only accepted orders 8 or higher for 2 years) I'm trying to get back up there but my tri-area is so impacted the only time it's "busy" is 5 am, but of course there's very few people ordering food at 5-7 and I'll get kicked after one order bc there's nothing after that. It's been hard to make $50 as well per day. I used to make $250-300 a day bc they gave me orders for 8 hours straight, they don't do that anymore
your maths off, if you take 50% of bad orders and 100% of good orders your acceptance rate would be 75%
@@danweekliesorama9995 that's not how it works..there are no good orders until you reach 50%
@@danweekliesorama9995 that is, if you're like me who was being selective/strategic about orders before the acceptance rate started applying.
Some days are so ridiculous on door dash then some days I can make $60 in 2 hours
That’s why I multi app
I’d say take notes about the good days bad days same for areas and times
Yeah but if ur in 2022 to 2023 theres a waiting list lollllll theres wayyy too many ppl driving already..i applied to grubhub n door dash n im on a wait list and amazon flex sadly 😥
@logs7 don't forget to pray too 🙏
$150 is my goal on a Mon-Fri, Sat $150-$200, and on Sunday im shooting for $200-$300. Now those are just goals where I’m happy when I make those numbers. I’m in the NY market but I work the white plains/Westchester county area. On a Sunday it’s easy to make my goal doing Instacart only. But I also use Amazon Flex and DD every other day to try and hit my goals. There are many days where I even struggle to hit $100. It’s a grind for sure
I did short runs at a location that were continuously giving high school runs at 4 each. Less than 2 miles each run
I live just north of you in Lawrence county, new castle, do you think small towns like this are worth it or should I drive to bigger cities like the cranberry area? Not sure how big of a difference small towns vs larger cities would be.
My daily goal is $100, but it varies and it all adds up. I usually average about $25 an hour, but I only go out during peak time now. The rest of the time I’m working on something else or doing family stuff.
Goherping just does whatever he wants money or no money it’s funny and entertaining
Is it worth it delivering on an ebike in Downtown Pittsburgh, if so what platform is best. I live in Homestead by the Waterfront.
I have worked in Raleigh and it’s sooo easy to make $50 there. I preferably work in Cary, NC, a city over, because the customers are more generous and traffic is way better. Raleigh is split up into 3 zones, North Raleigh, downtown Raleigh, and southeast Raleigh. It’ll be interesting to know which zone he’s working in even though I already have a good feeling which one he’s in. Side note: all zones in Raleigh have peak pay 80-90% of the time.
Edit: Just reached the end of the video. I hope he tries it again and NOT take every order as he can easily make over $1/mile in that market.
Yoooo, i also work in Cary.. i doordash/uber on my hour lunch break.... i make 30 - 60 in that time everyday.
@@j.j.3832 ayeee that’s wassup. Cary is the best for gig work. I wonder if we’ve ever seen each other because I do it full time
I signed up to be a dasher on foot and unfortunately have not been able to see any available orders. Yet my friend who drives for doordash sees all available orders nearby. Once I get my license I'll be fixing to do doordash by car.
I made $75 in 2 hours yesterday. Worked 7 hours total and made $180 in greensburg
Made my 10k steps yesterday...got lost in a mall looking for the restaurant. Still learning.
People don't know what it's like to not to drive in a Major market. DD & UE want to send you everywhere and you can't decline every order or you won't get any. When I'm below 50% below $20 an hour is common.
PS. Nice Tesla. 😆
I work in Raleigh and in Wake Forest North Carolina. You can get some pretty decent orders in both markets as they Neighbor each other.
A lot of how much you earn depends on where you’re working in the city. The university area for example, is definitely somewhere where I would avoid.
The only good thing about the university area is that it's open late, if that's what you're into.
It's difficult and funny at the same time watching new drivers 😆😄 just finding myself 🤦♂️ and yelling "no!" lol
I live in Raleigh as well. But I don’t dash here much in southeast. I mainly go where he is which is north Raleigh area, Cary, Holly springs Fuquay. If I’m adventurous I go Durham chapel hill. I’ve found my area southeast Raleigh is a crap market.
I struggle to make 100 dollars in one day while I see some people make 1,000 to 1,400 a week like how
Sometimes we have to work 15hrs
Some days easy 200-300 12hrs
Some days It’s over 15hrs for the same 200$
16 hours active time from monday thru yesterday (Friday), took Wednesday off. I made $511 for 16 hours active tims, 21 hours total time.
It's the area
This business is like real estate, location, location, location
All drivers are not equal and all markets are different. Some drivers are in better markets and some drivers simply know their market inside/out.
How about using a trip ometer. Most cars have them reset it at the beginning of your shift
I drive in Little Rock, AR. NO one tips here for food delivery. It's tough.
How are you guys recording this stuff if your using your cellphone, another phone or webcam or something, also I’ve been door dashing about 10 months now, avg about $20/hr in Tulsa area. I really appreciate all the videos you do over the different apps
Morning and lunch the best for my area.. dinner doesn’t tip well here.. $100-140 in 4-6hrs Greensboro nc
Hi Mike, do you know the error which is "create shift v2 must be active to schedule dashes"? How can I fix it? Please kindly to help me. Thank you
That would be me. I have that happen every day. Now my fuel pump went out on my car and I have been out of work for two weeks. I had to use my bill money to buy parts on ebay and borrow money to pay my bills. Thank God I know someone who is a mechanic and will do the work free for me. My life stinks at the moment and I can't wait until I can get on the road again to make that $50's a day lol. I at least made the money barely to pay my bills. The being my own boss not having to answer to anyone and choosing when I want to work keeps me hanging on.
You gotta live in a big city
Back in 2018, I remember being not so smart about the $$ to miles etc lol. I don’t think I took any that were too crazy (I.e. $5 for 15 miles), but I am sure some of the orders weren’t the smartest.
Also how do I get into the other niches or apps if they say that the market is full for my area
I’m making about $30 an hour and typically make around $150 a day doing it
I was on a roll with door dash making 800 -1k weekly. However, I knew it wouldn't last long. Luckily I have 3 other hustles ( not delivery) going on. I've noticed the orders were coming in but no tips with high mileage. Plus many times it would say the milage, then when you take the order they tack on another 10. Like they fool you.
It accured to me aswell that the more new drivers are doing it so they have to give them top orders to keep them driving.
All and all it does get pretty boring, like there is more I could do with my life. I stopped last week when I made $20 on 2 hours. I was done.
Do not rely on this forever, you are replaceable.
I want to make at least $130 per day. I'll usually work an 8 hour shift. On busier days I can make up to $170 in 8 hours. I work for uber eats.
I recently started dashing and have only done 6 orders so far. I learned really quickly not to accept $3 orders, especially at night when you can't see and might end up somewhere sketchy. Enjoying this channel and the insight from someone who's been at it a while.
Big tip, don’t be tempted to speed and ruin your vehicle prematurely. Nobody is going to come save you when your transmission/engine/drivetrain fails and you have to see a mechanic who thinks $100+ hr plus parts is reasonable and then doesn’t fix it right. I could do a whole YT channel on the state of the automotive service and repair industry 😮
Where I live, the only reliable and reasonable repairs I’ve had done are the ones that I do myself because I am mechanically inclined and also know what needs attention and what can wait. Every dang repair I do is several hundred bucks to a grand at a shop that will mess it up anyway 😅
When it is 10 min wait - i decline order. All restaurants are on plaza. It is 100% the other one is ready... Or it is 30+ order and you see that it is less then hour run
100 to 120 is my daily goal
I stay pretty consistent during peak times. Usually in the morning, I make about 80-90 bucks. Then around dinner time, if I really push it till about 9pm, I can earn anywhere from 90-100 bucks again. (Minus peak pay). So in short, that’s roughly 180 bucks a day on average for about 7-8 hours of work for a full day. That comes out to 22-23 bucks an hour, in my opinion definitely worth doing and possibly even going full time with it if you’re in the right market area. Nothing too rural, plenty of food shops, but keep in mind it’s a saturated market.
It’s even better when you have a Full Time job that’s pays you 24 per hour….Like me.
I usually pack a lunch but I go out once a week as a treat. It also gives me the chance to use a restroom.
I do very well in the morning between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and then the lunch rush comes around 11 a.m. up until around 4 p.m.
I just do X Date to Y Date for my mileage range and then just remove like 150 miles as a grace period for me for personal miles.
First! Thanks for all the advice Mike. I average $30 an hour because of using your tips.
Fantastic Chris! Thank you
No you don't 😂
I need these tips cause I be struggling to know what to accept and how to make at least $60 a day
I am very choosy with the orders I accept now. My goal is also $100 a day, which can be easy to attain but I have only gotten there by being choosy. I hop between apps as well, and I oftentimes find that DD customers tip the worst. My acceptance rate is below 50% but I'm not sure if I should even care tbh. Great video, though!
I had a horrible day today. I will not deliver on Saturday again for lunch
Yesterday I made $100 in the first 1.5 hours.
Today I'm at $45 for 2 hours.
It's like fishing. Some days hit others are not so hot.
Hi there I am in the Austin market primarily I do float around the country and turn on the app for fun sometimes but one thing I did learn is that it is best to go to a main strip mall where there are tons of restaurants and just sit there.
Where a lot of people make the mistake is trying to take the big money orders I don't take those unless they seriously add up most of the time I take a bunch of four and five dollars that are only going 1 mi away. The plan is to get somewhere between 5:00 and 7 of those done per hour as opposed to spending 30 minutes on a $15 deal and don't get nothing else that hour
The sad part about where I am is the busy area is the most unprofessional and slow area far as the customer service from the restaurant
Now when you go out to the burbs it’s better service but less orders and more miles sadly
These apps are dead in my area, fees are too high. Not that many people can afford to spend $20 (delivery fee & tip) just have a Big Mac deliver to their door anymore.
What happened in f they are constantly getting your rating down because you declined or cancel because you don’t stay waiting for an order ?
Would they cancel your service like they will not let you work any more
Lakeland, FL area here. Believe it or not, the most profitable time for me on DD and UE is early morning breakfast. Things start rocking around 5:00 AM. IHOP, Denny's, Dunkin, First Watch, WaWa, Starbucks... it's not unusual for me to make between $80-$100 from 5-9:00 AM.
i personally love doing Mcdonald’s orders. they have the best packaging…wendy’s….i’ll pass lol
I DoorDash in Landis, NC; 30 minutes from Charlotte. I don’t multi-app, only DD. Here, I can make anywhere from $200-400 a day, depending on how many hours you work. Usually, I average between $25-$50 per hour, depending on peak pays, etc.
When I first started , I would accept every order. I live in Hastings NE, so there aren't a lot of restaurants. I wish I could make $50 my goal. I start low with $30.
Goal is $100 per day. Last week I made $1005. I only work gig work
5 pm to 10 pm Monday through Friday and 12-13 hours on Saturday
West Michigan here. Small town and lots of rural drop offs. Unfortunately, we don't get anything better then $1.25 per mile. 😢 Wish it was more, but been doing this for 2 months and have never seen anything better.
In in a smaller town very near Kansas City
For me my goal is to make money at rate of $50 a day meaning some days I will only earn $20 others $100+ so its like anything customer service it's the saying "feast or famine".
I wish I could show you pictures of some of the things DoorDash actually tries to send me
Hot cold bag for McDonald's is useless. They put hot french and cold drinks in the same bag.
I get orders that are supposedly higher in pay 💰 but that are so far away ! I have to drive like 10+ miles
When declining, what decline option do you select, too far? not in your location? Any advice would be appreciated
I saw on one of his other videos and he said he always picks the order is too small. That's what I choose of the pay is too small.
I haven't do uber eats or doordash and instacart in a very long time money wasn't worth it anymore I do ride share now.
i struggle to make $20 lol I really dont like Doordash in my market. I really dont like waiting for those "busy" zones to show up, and having to drive back into them after a delivery. Uber Eats has been much more consistent.
If you take everything DD throws your way, you’ll get some big tip orders too. The problem is that the low tip orders will post bad FB on you and lie about not getting the order. It’s a catch 22
Anaheim here, I made $130 in 3 1/2 hours tonight, my best yet! I usually do 4 hours a day split between lunch and dinner. I get around 300 a week
My acceptance rate is so low from just trying to make 1 dollar a mile now I can't even get a shift
The other one I dislike is U.E. Will actually sneak extra orders if I am at the same restaurant. As well as try to give me additional orders sometimes for 1.50 extra…I decline these , I’m more than certain that same order would be at least 5 to 7 for another person so I don’t stack those.
SATX here
Love Dashing
I use to go to my mall for restroom breaks but that restroom has gotten so bad that it’s like out of a horror movie. Now I go to McDonald’s or use the restroom while waiting on an order.
I'm a full time driver. Have been since September! I work between 40-50 hours a week and have been making around $1200/week. It's a grind but dashing has been getting better as of late. More than likely due to everybody getting their tax refunds and major holidays now past us. Keep grinding ya'll!
Really curious what your acceptance rate is. I drive in the Milwaukee area. So many orders in that $7-9 range, but then drive 11 plus miles, then drive back into my zone. Always turn those orders down. Don't think I will ever be above 50%🤷♂️
Peak pay can be a disaster too. Because it makes almost ever order exceptable. Which creates very few orders. My experience. Thoughts?
Think about it, they offer all this money that they don’t have to pay since you’re not hourly. When I first started DD at it’s inception, they actually guaranteed $9 hr in Texas. I went to Plano and sat there my first day and chuckled 🤭 because I made $9 to sit on my butt. Now their stock has tanked and they’re on the brink of collapse 😂
Which survey apps are those shown? 4:38
I just started dashing. I have been doing Uber Eats for a while now and my first scheduled dash, I received zero offers. I was on for an hour. Not sure what's up with that, given that the heat map was red.
This has happened me the last few days too. I'll even get a notification saying like, hey we're busy do you wanna Dash and I'll get on and the maps all red only for nothing to come through. Super weird. Just this last week it's happened.
Hey boss can you make a video about Uber eats alcohol delivery!!
I have a dumb question I hope some of you can help with. If I accept an order that takes me out of the zone that I am in but into another zone that I am comfortable with am I allowed to end my current dash and start dashing again in that zone since I am there?
If they have availability then, yes. Go to main screen and see if the other zone has availability first!
$100 day, 5 days a week, able to do that no problem
I made 85.50 dashing 3 hours last night(8-11 p.m.), with heavy snow slowing me down(Reno Nv.). Easily could have made 100.00+ within that same time during dry weather. I'm selective of what I accept. Play around with which parts of town are more lucrative...
Orders at the mall hell no. Not unless they have a curbside entrance.
Princeton NJ takes around 10 hrs for 100-200$
Some days are slow, and you’d have to go towards Trenton and Hamilton or Ewing for orders.
But it’s definitely possible for 200-300 grinding
Finally, someone reporting honest numbers. Don't let all these other drivers fool you, they're not making double or triple what you are in half the time 🤣🤣🤣
@@teecee4459 someone said 240 in 4hrs
240$ in 4 hours is insane
I’ve taken 4-5 orders at a time from different apps to make 200$ in 6 hours it wasn’t easy.
So people saying they’re making 240 in 4hrs gotta be in the best market ever.
Because I’m in a decent market most driver’s average 19hr. And almost everyone tips.
I'd like to know what he accepted on day number two.
I’m on Long Island Doordash is dead and no orders come thru for a peak shift 5:30-9:30p on a Friday night
I have declined many of these orders and that’s all I mainly get and now I can’t dash when I want to, now it’s only by scheduling 😢
This morning was great. 4.25 base rate + 1.50 peak. Then lunch time 2.25 bas no peak. Screw that. Went home with $100.
I'm in Colorado springs
They hit me with $5.25 for 8.1 miles and $3.75 for 6.4 miles last night in Northeast Philly... Of course I declined both of those!!
I think dashing only makes sense if you live in a big city. I live in downtown Austin so there are constantly orders, people make decent money here so they tip well, and the radius for driving is pretty short.
i have same problem
i dont like to drive at night,is rare that i drive after 9pm....
It’s a struggle in my market because there is not enough business
I’m in the Bronx. No tip area. Bronx people don’t tip
Why do all your thumbnails have blue sky in the background?🤔
