thank you so much for having me on your show now all my friends live on the Internet and thanks everyone for the very nice comments just to let you know I’m doing XL and not the lower platforms to make the money I make with that being said, every market is different all drivers are different. I’m glad we all can get along. And yes you’re always working for yourself so always keep that in mind don’t work for Uber. Let Uber work for you once again thanks so much for the support Donnie disco.
I don’t really understand why you would want me to get your ride course when I am not driving now for either company, would I like to start back up maybe.
@@natestorm194 this only happens in this small market. I have fun with what I’m doing. I just take every ride as if I am the rider that needs to be picked up other drivers are not taking these people up, but I am, and they turn into great stories and usually turn into great Tip 💰 everybody’s different. It was just a story about some old guy doing Rideshare in a different way. I’m just saying
Chicago here, your life literally depends on not taking rides to some areas.
Same in Dallas
like they always say you’re not in Kansas anymore I like where I live. I choose to live a simple life in a simple city. If I lived anywhere else I would probably not be driving for Uber. You have to know your area and know your market. Oh yes I did live in New Orleans for a little while so I know where to go and we’re not to go. That’s the answer. Keep it simple live a simple life leave it with your family and live it right it’s not all about Uber.
I approve of $2 per mile for 100% acceptance rate though. 🤷🏼♂️
It should be if they apply that law they trying to put ride share holders in that same boat as a taxi driver...

I don’t think anybody can afford to take a two dollar ride but most the minimum three minutes for $5.18 is not bad you just have to get the right area to work in to make crazy money. Thanks for the kind words even though they’re about two and three dollar rides.

@@sergioSMTMC1 and more power to them , personally I’ll stick to what I’m doing, cherry picking and at this point, the way I’ve seen things getting worse and worse, RECRUITING all the 4.90 and above rated passengers I can which equals less driving and more money, the goal is to eventually not even need these rideshare apps
King of the pigeons
I have the same acceptance rates on Uber and Lyft myself. Trust me, no one cares, especially corporate.

I used to accept 98% rate and was not making money. After listening to you all I began to look at the scheme of upfront fee. Now, I pick and choose what take with acceptance rate of under 80% cancellations of 6%. I don’t go to dangerous places. UBER chooses what ride to give me and I pick and choose what ride I pick.
It's not for everyone but in his market it works
@@sergioSMTMC1 I watched only a little of the video but I'm assuming he drives in a genuine tourist hotspot with casinos, acts as a tour-guide, and entertains his pax, and in exchange they throw lots of tips his way. Good for him. But his situation has zero relevance and relationship to the 99% of drivers who drive in the real world and are struggling with pay that keeps getting cut while Uber and Lyft are grabbing more than 50% from most rides. BTW, even HE couldn't make any money driving X. He admitted that.
@@tuby6521 He said he get's 30-40% trips from is fares. Rich people live in his neighborhood. I'm luck to get 1 tip for 10 rides. I am a minority which many people don't care for also. So I get why they don't tip me.

@@AppRides thank you for your words. Sounds like you have it figured out...
In my market (San Francisco Bay Area ) hybrid don’t qualify for green since May 2024 only ev . That’s why you never invest in a new and expensive vehicle to do business with Uber unless you have private customers . Uber Lyft are not trustworthy companies .
I’m very been driving XL in a Chrysler minivan. For about 6 months and I’ve really enjoyed it.
I loved this video. I live in Atlanta, but I’m from this area. I never knew Uber could be profitable in this area. Thanks for the info Donnie and Sergio

Terrific, outstanding, lots of fun-Donnie Disco you made my day. You've got a beard, a bigger personality than I do and I bigger car, but it is great to see someone with the same enthusiasm and positive attitude. Private machanic is KEY
Not key but important
The problem is that UBER abusing exploiting UBER X, Uber X rental car drivers Class Drivers from the get go. The frame works Ain't RIGHT .
Damn wish we did that good in vegas. Xl is slow here
I was deactivated from Uber, riders said I was under the influence. I was driving just like Donnie Disco, I had an 100% acceptance rate 5 star rating and had over 13,000 trips, but because I had talked to Uber about they were not paying me for my tolls, and stealing my tips, they found away to deactivate me for no reason, they said that riders told them that I was under the influence. I never had a drink in my life, I don’t take drugs, and I don’t smoke.
So what can you say or do about that.
Take them to small claims court and then arbitration
Thanks you’re reply I did that and we only had one court appearance and was set to show up for the next date but then I had a stroke and I had to cancel that court appearance because of my health for a year, can I still take them to court since it’s been so long.
How long do I have before I cannot pursue this claim.
Thank you,
Al
@@bones5131 sorry to hear that, health first
I've also been accused of driving under the influence.. I had a dashcam though after being accused of sexual assault so it was dropped once I showed uber footage of all the rides from the night. What I find crazy is that when I was accused of sexual assault I could still go online and drive , but driving under the influence is unacceptable 😅. Obviously, I didn't do either of the accusations, but had i not had the dash cam, I could've been deactivated as well. GET A DASH CAM EVERYONE before it's too late!
next thing you know they’ll have breathalyzers in each car you’ll have to breathe into the breathalyzer before you go to work just sad sad day when people have to get a refund for a trip and put the driver at risk of losing his job. How to drive in another state with lyft? I applied a few years ago in Virginia when I was living down there and got denied. I moved back to PA and the online CSR had to change my application state over to PA? How does the interchange work?
This is the employee of the month , for uber and Lyft this is a dream come true to have all drivers doing auto accept every ride
Did I miss something? He's driving "XL" not "X," so isn't he automatically earning more per ride, regardless? Isn't it a higher paying platform? So why not take every ride? Don't get me wrong, accepting 100% is no easy feat, but let's put this in perspective, he's not doing it on the X platform where you can find yourself actually losing money on many rides.

The truth is that some people actually enjoy driving people regardless of what the pay is. This gentleman is a classic example of this. He seems to enjoy what he does regardless of the profits. I mean, the guy literally lives in his car, it seems like.
Nope, 60 hours a week there are 168 a week

@@AppRides You are simply the single greatest living organism on planet Earth today. Easy. My very first ride for Uber, they screwed me. I never did another. I have always done Lyft, and I agree...standard simply does not work. What I want to do is buy a nice, large rig and drive XL. This automatically filters out a lot of people I don't want in my car, although out of 1400 rides I've really had only 2 I wouldn't drive again. The "pay" just isn't there anymore for standard. You are king of the world and a bad man, and I mean that in the Muhammad Ali -esque kind of way.

Awesome interview Sergio. Very inspiring and insightful. Keep up the great work 👏👏👏
I had a zero cancellation and UBER put one in there. Not the first time. They told me they're aware of the problem and "thank you for your patience". They wouldn't correct it. This happened the first summer I drove for them. They had me in two different places at the same time. They didn't fix that cancellation either. It might have happened more than once that summer - all the same week.
XL on my area would be nice but people around here would even use it.
I accept about 97-99% on lyft. In my market its not terrible like some markets where they try to make you drive 40 miles for 17 bucks. I make sometimes almost 2k in 40ish hours on lyft.
Uber tho i refuse to accept everything. I started on uber and it was fantastic. It had streaks, big bonuses, you name it. I was working just on uber and making just as much as lyft.
Now no🤣 you make pennies and the wait time is hilarious. Yet lyft is filled with money.
I have a friend who is a veteran driver. He approached me last week furious about uber. He said hes never waited this long for rides. He only make 80 dollars for 10 rides that day and had enough. I was like dude sign up to lyft. Uber doesn't care anymore.
Lets hope lyft survives otherwise I don't think you will see as many full time drivers around to assist
Uber works for me. 😅that’s a good one ☝️.
Isn't it?
Dang I must live in the wrong area. Many of my airport rides and regular rides don't tip. I provide water, snacks, personal music, temp control, heated and cooled seats, quiet and lots of leg room car and am very talkative. lol I was flagged for talking too much to the passenger. Apparently I’m the top driver in St. Louis Missouri. Uber has actually called me and asked me how I’m doing it. How I’m made it to the top of the pack in my area. I take all rides everyone else doesn’t want. I do go into bad areas and I don’t mind. I’m not going to treat anybody any different than anyone else.
Anyway I have a question? Does anyone know an attorney that would sue valvoline for me and with me. I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee there for a oil change and literally 4 hours later, I’m sitting at the airport needing a new motor. My jeep has 138 thousand miles on it and valvoline refuses to fix it because they are saying I’m an extreme driver because I drive for Uber. I’ve had my oil changed every 8-10 thousand miles, exactly what the dealer says I should do. Valvoline still refuses to fix it unless I can get a mechanic to say on paper that they caused it to do what happened to it. There’s no mechanic that would do that because they can’t prove that they caused the breakdown. They can tell me what happened to it but they can’t prove that valvoline caused it. So I really need an attorney who can help me sue them for not fixing my ride.
The company will work for you if you let it work but don't work for Uber😂 that makes no sense and you guys need to look up the definition of hater just because somebody don't agree with somebody don't make them a hater.
Hater is a term that Kool Aid drinkers and paid shills use to describe the vast majority of drivers who are fed up with the bad pay that keeps getting cut all the time.

@SergioSMTMC I just watched the interview, his strategy somehow works in his busy XL market and he is doing good money but i bet you any cherrypicker in his market driving the same category he does is neting more money than him and you know that too. Is hard to agree with this strategy when we have already tried and tested both sides, doing everything to keep dimond benefits (wich are worthless) and picking up the best fare posible out there. He just know one way and he thinks is the best way because it works for him, I won't argue that, but he is truly missing out, leaving thousands on the table and he is not aware because he never tried the cherry strategy, declining garbage.
Well i will say donnie is doing better than Jeff, at least he is not doing X
Why is this a competition? Everyone does what works for them
@SergioSMTMC I deed it is, business compete each other. Strategies needs to be compared to be copied amd improved, I won't argue what makes them happy, what I weight and care about is what is better strategy to net money. Donnie won't drive X as Jeff with this strategy because he knows the business better, but still he didn't tried picking up the rides to learn if he can do even better.

When I hear about guys like this it just annoys the hell out of me. They’re the reason Uber is lowering our rates.
TRUTH
Prove it, nonsense, Uber did 2.1 billion trips the last 3 months and it's Donnie fault
Your mindset is backwards. Donnie has it right. You don't work for Uber. They aren't setting "our rates." Uber works for you.
@jftrucker2609Uber is a tech company. People who work for Uber include programmers who write apps, marketers who convince customers to use the apps, indian call center employees, among others. Uber doesn’t provide transportation.
Assuming you’re an Uber driver, that means you are a small business owner who has entered into an agreement with Uber to provide you with passengers. Essentially you are running a car service, and Uber is drumming up business for you. It’s a partnership. They offer you contracts to accept or decline. That’s it.
