Beautiful machining and workmanship on that puzzle... I am so amazed at the way they came together, of course it was evident at the start that it would be a twisting action... but like you I didn't see it, what a great puzzle this was!
I love that it can be solved by mixing the colors or keeping the colors separated.

I loove those types of puzzles. Thats kind of like my hanayama puzzle with the sphere inside the box. They corkscrew together and its so satisfying

The motion of the final solve would never get old.
The way those twist together is beautiful, I’d love to see that captured in slow-motion
I have them all and just got the Wavelinks a few weeks back... Craighill makes the best quality metal puzzles and this one is my favorite so far. They are well engineered, heavy and challenging. I back them as soon as announced, so I can get my hands on them before they are generally available for public sale.
The "Wow" moment is gold. Amazing puzzle.

Your attempt at 4:00 is actually the way I first solved mine. With the right twist you can actually get one compelte circle properly in position over that joined center and it gets you into a halfway position. It wasn't until I took it apart again that I saw you could drop it thorugh "all the way".
Now make another puzzle like that using the Mr. Puzzle Logo! 👍👍

Yes! Great puzzle.
I got the solution really quickly, 'cause the name is also a clue: Waves move fluidly, one affecting the others; a natural example of coordinated motion. I had a clear picture in my mind of the second solution where the two pre-assembled sections just naturally slip together. I think it also has a little bit of a red herring built in as well, with the pieces being different colors despite being the same shape. :)

Reminds me of the 3 cube puzzle a few years back. I ended up making that 3 cube puzzle for neighbors along with some 3D printed ones as well.

Man when the second donut slides into place, my brain doesn't understand what happens. It's almost like seeing a glitch or a 4th dimension or something.

I ordered already, but even seeing the solution, I don't think it is going to help me! That was a great solve.
This is one of those where the solution is easy, conceptually, but actually doing it without having like 9 hands is the hard part.
Instinctually, my first thought is have two pieces, halves, I'm each hand, and link both semi-circles into circles at the exact same time.
OOOOHHH! WOAH! You line up all four pieces and push! Woah, wtf!!! ❤🎉 that's an amazing solution!

Very reasonable pricing. Ceramic casting is a great fit (literally) for this odd shape! Would love to model this up in cad and 3D print a white-clear set for myself but even the best resin printer on the market wouldn't be a good fit for this due to supports, and I've yet to see any kind of nylon SLS printer that does clear prints at an acceptable quality level for something this polished!

I think Mr Puzzle's lighting does a better job showcasing how beautiful this puzzle is.
I wonder if it can be solved by arranging them in 8:32 position, then twisting, cos that is how I visualized the solution.
