i like how when chris gets stuck he'll put one of the pieces down and grab a different one to try out even though all 4 pieces are identical
My mans here sees no race
Sometimes just using a different piece can reset the brain
🤦♂️
Well that piece in particular was irritating him. It needed a time out.
You like that? What a weird comment 😳
Watching the pieces slide into each other and into the final solution was one of the most satisfying things I have ever seen. Absolutely brilliant design 👏
Seems like you can start with the configuration @14:13 ?
as in, form a ring, then slide the two pieces of the other into the hole to get the placement @14:13 ?
I hope not cuz that would make the puzzle a little easier to solve 😁
Imagine if you had four dimensional objects and pieces. The possibilities would be mind blowing. We cannot even comprehend of a 4-D object, let alone solve puzzles like these!!!
@@Crazytesseract That's kind of a silly thing to imagine since it's the very nature of an added dimension to result in exponentially more possibilities... and as four-dimensional objects are impossible to grasp for humans, it's kind of useless also :D
I've never felt more relaxed than during those 8 seconds of my life watching those pieces slide into place and the rings change to all black & all silver. Who needs drugs when you've got that?
You life must be so dull then
That is one of the coolest and unique solve styles I've seen! Like you said "it requires dexterity" and yet at the same time, such a smooth solve. I need this!
Man that's a pretty puzzle. I was thinking along the same lines you were that the pieces must all be identical if you can interchange any of them, so the key is figuring out how to get them to fit together... But then the solution is so insane. The machining on those pieces must be incredible to get them all to slide against each other like that so smoothly.
Beautiful design. It's a total cross between Hanayama Donuts and Marble which are my favourites from them.
WOW!!! What an incredible piece of design and engineering of such a beautiful puzzle! I'm looking forward to adding this to my collection!
Thank you for bringing it to your channel, and congrats for having the honor of being the host of the worlds first Cardicon! Peace!
Of all the puzzles you’ve showcased (which many of them are epic!). This one is elegant and insane in a simplistic manner, and I must have one
Interesting puzzle. I've watched the solve a few times now and every time that last bit makes my brain wrinkle. How in the world anyone comes up with these brilliant and flawless designs is beyond me. Might be cool to try to interview one of these brainiacs though ;-)
I would LOVE to see interviews on CZcams
Now, imagine puzzle designers using ai-tools to generate new mind blowing puzzle designs
I accidentally met Rod at an event I recently attended, and I am so happy that I backed a project by a guy who turned out to be really great and down to earth!
I think you should do it again but put the donuts as opposite colors in the end so you have two interlinked black and silver donuts instead of one black and one silver
A puzzle within a puzzle, where reverting the puzzle back to its original position is a puzzle in itself.
Definitely the most satisfying puzzle solutions I’ve seen from Chris in a while. Bonkers 🤯
I would have watched this vid just for the first 45 seconds 😂
Love what you do keep it up you help me get through my day
That is one of the slickest items I’ve seen in a long time, and one of the most incredibly precise puzzles ever!!
A really cool design, that moment when it comes together during final step is magical.
I recently found this channel and it’s incredible! I love puzzles and it’s somewhat relaxing the ambience in your background as you solve these! Love it
It's amazing. The motion you want the solver to take dictates the path you carve in the metals. If you want two or more pieces to connect, that is.
Two clues (from a humble mathematician who does not do hands-on puzzles often):
1. "One surprising motion" was in the title. This suggested to me in the beginning that you should handle all 4 pieces at once. It turned out this was correct.
2. The path carved in the metal pieces was indeed the path you were forced to create in your motions.
Hope this helps in future puzzles.
When that thing all came together was very satisfying looked super smooth also!
Wow! That solution is just wild! Thanks for sharing Chris, as always stay awesome! 😎
Might be one of the most satisfying solves I've seen you do of this style of puzzle so far.
Chris, I really love your videos and I'm a big fan from Czech Republic ❤. You have cool and expensive equipment, mic etc. ... but, jeez, I heart every your breath 👃in my headphones while watching this video .... 😃
“Silver donut” is not a word I was expecting to hear today.
What a beautiful puzzle! True Genius level designer!
such a beautiful solve, solid objects morphing together like a liquid
That was so incredible to watch. Love that you are getting back to some of these types of puzzles again. Still wondering when the future you puzzle will return. 👍💯✌🇨🇦😀
Soon…
This vid is, for me, right up there with your best. The opening slights and the awesome music (what's the album btw?) and that first moment when it all comes together had me spellbound. Thanks. Loved it.
In my early 20’s my father bought this one horse shoes puzzle with a ring in the middle. While he was purchasing it that I was trying to figure it out. Somehow that I solved it right in front of him w/o knowing that I solved it. He bought another puzzle at another place. Of course that I solved it,too. I really liked the 1st one that I kept on solving it and even put the ring back in place.
This one was a very cool puzzle, I liked that a lot. Probably one of my favorite ones that you've ever done on the channel. The solution looked super satisfying. I also like that it seems relatively simple once you know the solution. Well done sir, I definitely want to back this kickstarter. I'm sure they won't have any problem gettung funded. I hope you have a good day Chris.
The puzzle is intriguing, but I lack the patience, or brain structure or something, to do it myself. Thanks for posting these videos so I can have the vicarious enjoyment of your eureka moment.
i actually own this puzzle as well but hadn't solved it in awhile so i raced you and you still beat me! Great video!
I have no idea how you ended up on my CZcams home screen/suggestions (I don't subscribe to any channels remotely like this) but I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos! Been subscribed for a few weeks now. Keep up the amazing work!
Welcome aboard!
@@ChrisRamsay52 thank you! Glad to be here. 😁
@@Joy-ty2vc he's a magician and can control the youtube algorithm. And here you are. :-) WELCOME
That is a stunning piece of engineering. So cool!
I’m pretty sure the simpler solution to the puzzle is at 14:11 with one donut on top of the two linked halves. Awesome puzzle. Great videos!
I was thinking the same thing
You mentioned in a video a long time ago how youtube offers .25 speed.
Well I use that all the time now because you mentioned it, and I must say your opening sequence at .25 speed, very clean. Hard to catch a lot of what you were doing there. 💯
That puzzle is addicting and great finger excercise. I like that it is a puzzle in any direction you go. Real genius design. I was with yu all the way in this particular episode and great job Chris in solving that mutha prtty darn quickly.. Youre awesome and this is addicting to watch nd very enjoyable so please keep doing these bcus u becoming #1 puzzle master!
How awesome people manage to create this? Absolutely satisfying to watch !
Chris, magic or puzzle your video's are so chill to watch !
High five from Belgium 🖐
Math and computer design programs.
This puzzle blew my mind. Genuinely amazed and super satisfied by the solution!
@ChrisRamsey this is flipping cool and very neat desk fidget!!! ❤
10:00 This is perfect.
When they finally went together I literally leaned forward and shouted “oh my god!!!” 🤯
This puzzle is absolutely mind-bending to watch slide together.
Super satisfying to watch come together!
That was insane!, beautifully created puzzle. Wow!
If you start off with 2 of the same colored ring, when interlocking them together you should be able to get 2 interlocked multicolored rings
I love your puzzles. They are such fun to watch.
Your patience and commitment is admirable!
There is just something really magical about watching you solve things, Chris. Just keep doing that, please! Much Love, George.
That was awesome. And definitely super satisfying. I want one. That was so cool to watch being put together
I have been subscribed for over a year and I love your content
That end is so satisfying what an amazing piece of art
Chris! Thanks so much, this video is amazing.
Super satisfying. Thanks, Chris!
I loved the “what I’m thinking is, I have 2 of these and I want to get them linked together” Yupp. That’s the puzzle.
Might have to get my hands on this one, so satisfying. Chris, you always make it looks so easy. 🙂
for sure...without a doubt...one of the coolest puzzles I've seen on this channel.
That was super cool!, I didn't think of them going together the way they did in the end!
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Beautiful puzzle 🖤 I would totally enjoy doing one of those
That is awesome.. The beautiful things people can create!
I love these line up puzzles. When I figured out hanayama marble my mind was blown. They remain fun to play with because it's so satisfying.
The way it all fit perfectly is so satisfying
I love that stuff...my right hand doesn't afford me that dexterity anymore...I shall live vicariously through your videos. 😁👍
The intro (including the magic) was absolute 🔥...
Such a beautifully designed puzzle - looks like it's really satisfying...and difficult 😂.
Great solve man 🤘
When all four pieces was sliding together it was so satisfying to watch, but then I instantly got mad at how stuck it gets and how hard it would be to unstuck lol
That is an incredible piece of design and engineering.
Very satisfying to watch. I can only imagine what it feels like to complete.
High quality videos are always so satisfying to watch!
The make of it is absolutely insane.
Always so impressed by your problem solving skills.
The puzzle was great but god dang I am still scratching my head about that time machine like color change in the intro. That was way to clean! Have you taught that on your channel before?
Slow motion is available…
You might be talking about the wheel change.
If i am not wrong, ig Daniel Madison has taught it in his yt channel. Do check him out
Hey since all 4 pieces are the same can you try and put them together where the two doughnuts are half one color and half the other? I'd love to see that!
@@madhavcs1666 yeah i believe that's where i learned it but it was a while ago
With this puzzle the "puzzle" part is putting it together not taking it apart.
So gonna get me one of these!
Definitely satisfying watching you solve it, also really like your hat 😌
That solution was absolutely singular. The way that looked on camera as soon as they started linkign together was incredible.
I mean that has to be my favorite puzzle I've seen on your channel. That is just absolutely wild. Had me cracking up!
I'm sad that you didn't put it together as it's shown in the thumbnail, like one ring consisting of a silver piece and a black piece
Still really cool, though!
Okay, Olay, Chris, you are the man ! Never would have came up with that move for days or even weeks of frustration ? Very satisfying move I have to say maybe one of the top 10 move of all times !
So satisfying amazing content per usual Ramsay 💯
Super cool puzzle! Great videos keep up the good work!
It's a pretty puzzle. And it's interesting. It's always nice to see people who deserve a chance getting their product out there with crowdfunding.
Reminds me of Cast Puzzle "Marble", which you only can disassemble if you align the both parts in a certain way.
Omg, the best solution ever, mad to watch 😵💫 have a great time at the conference . ..
Looks great! If the pieces are indeed identical, I guess you can maybe have the linked rings be half one color and half the other color as well.
yup, definitely could.
Man, I got into puzzles because of your videos. This one has my full attention. Super hard, but super simple. 🤯 Take my money.
This is an amazing piece!
Pledged it on kickstarter. Can't wait to receive it 😎
You got me into Craighill with your Venn puzzle review. I’m all in on this one!
I’ve never felt the satisfaction from a solve just by watching until now. Its always entertaining of course but this time I felt it like I had solved it. Just so damn cool
1:18 Ooh, i bought a Sunspot card set from them! It looks AWESOME!
Its also really damn light, that air technology they claim is no joke, they really do slide easily over each other!
Wow, that was the most satisfying puzzle I've ever seen on your channel
Beautifully designed!!
The intro felt like a perfume/cologne commercial. I was waiting to see a celebrity at the end walking away looking back and smiling at me.
I saw it about half way when you had the 2 silver pieces linked together in corkscrew fashion. Still, it's not gonna be easy or accidental to come across it as displayed here, you have to get the positioning so precise. But when you do and it just starts to glide together it's so damn satisfying! Very nice puzzle.
Great intro and edits 👏 this puzzle really is something to look into
The engineering on this puzzle is is a masterpiece.
How does someone even come up with the design for something like this? The specific movement needed to disassemble/reassemble something like this takes genius design and construction
that production quality 🔥
If a thief or rob ever broke into your house, it be an escape room to get in and out of.
masterpiece...respect to inventors...materials, shape, idea...
I’m so jealous of all the puzzles you have!!
You're the biggest bloody legend mate, thanks for sharing so much sick content. Big love from Tasmania 👏 🙌 💙
Tasmania?? I didn't know people lived there lol
That intro was next level 🔥
Thanks Chris! Love you!!!
