I ordered my Sinden, emails went out a couple weeks ago with a projected shipping of September. Kickstarters will be getting theirs a couple months before that so the community will start reviewing it soon.

Thanks! I just use an iPhone XS Max pointed at the screen lol. I've toyed with using an El Gato but I record on several different machines so I'd be constantly having to open the cabinet to switch it all around.
Just remember you have to have the sensor within 1”of the screen per Ultimarc from Andy. He said it won’t be accurate and it will be hard to calibrate if it isn’t. I was having problems with calibration and I have the Atgames Legend Ultimate arcade cab and I was mounting on the top of the marquee there isn’t any where you can mount it on that cab. I finally mounted the sensor next to the screen with some tape temporary to see if it would calibrate and it would. So problem is with the Atgames Legend Ultimate you would have to find a bracket and mount the sensor to it and double back it next to the screen within 1”.
My Sindens actually arrived today by chance lol. I’ll still consider trying that bigger sensor bar if I’m not happy with the Sinden guns.
@@KillerArcadeGames I ask Andy at Ultimarc about the Super IR bar and the Extreme IR bar would help in the calibration and accuracy and he said no.

I got two, a red and blue one, and I love them. You are correct that they give you a good arcade feel. I have set my guns up in MAME, Sega System 2 and 3, and Atomiswave. I have yet to get it to work properly in RetroArch and you do have to tweak the settings for some games, like Jurassic Park: The Lost World, but all in all I think these are awesome...great review as always 👍
I've got to explore Model 2 and 3 some more. I finally got Daytona and SW Trilogy to run but stopped messing with it. Theres so many projects I need to revisit!
Awesome set up I want this so bad! Can you still play these games if you change the aspect ration for the screen size? Like will the gun still work or if you use hsl settings?
I don't think the guns do work if you stretch it. Actually, I'm not even sure if you can stretch the image. I play it on the TV and it only uses the 4:3 ratio. I haven't tried those hlsl settings either.
I'm happy to say the sinden guns look close to perfect, these will soon be obsolete. I'm going to order sinden guns today

These are fantastic! I just configured two Aimtraks. One dedicated to my PS2 and one for my PC. It's just like being in the arcade 🙂
How do they compare to Sinden guns? I'm curious to find out if they are as good or better than Aimtraks.

I heard it was barely better than a Wiimote both on that and on precision, sadly :/

I want that Nuka Cola clock! Anyway, I decided to get an Aimtrak myself because the Sinden is not ready and I'm tired of waiting. I like the blue but red is the standard 1 player gun so I'm starting with that.
My wife made that clock! She hammered it into a bottle cap shape and everything. I think she needs her own channel, I'm sure people would watch the crafting stuff. Who knows how long those Sinden guns will take, I don't regret buying an Aimtrak. I played some games with it the other day, its good!

Hahah I told her about this comment. She seemed interested in making some but shipping would be expensive. She makes really cool stuff but shipping most of it is difficult. She does design and sell pins on etsy since they're small.
I wouldn't worry too much about shipping. In this hobby getting something unique and desirable overrides the convenience of cheap shipping and super fast turnaround from Amazon. She clearly has talent so if she wanted to sell some of her creations I think people will understand that shipping and turnaround will not be at big box levels, but in return they'll get something really cool that isn't on a shelf at Target.

Nice video man. Are you using a hyperspin front end set up? I’m thinking about getting one of these but I want to know if I can on my set up without causing malfunctions in hyperspin (mame)... edit: not sure if I’ll be able to get online with my build so should I just tell the guys who are making it to install the driver & update? Is there anything else I need too do to get this working in mame?
I'm just using BigBox. I used to have Hyperspin about 10 years ago lol. But It's changed a lot since then and I haven't messed with it much. I found the new set up to be difficult.

Just got mine in the mail. I have a Mac, and I can't configure it without a PC, which I didn't know when I ordered it.
I have to go to my parents' house to use their PC to set this up before I can use it on my Legends Ultimate, which is annoying.
Police Trainer is the reason I bought it, so I hope it works okay.
Man, I’m a Mac/Apple user primarily but it’s not very friendly for emulation. I just got Sinden guns and they are much faster and more responsive. I don’t know if they’re even Mac compatible though.

HI I got the Ultimarc Aimtrac light gun and did get my button mapping configuration and calibrate my light gun on the Atgames Legend Ultimate but the gun sight is tracking with the gun but is not registering the kills. Please help me anybody with some tips of why it will not work with the games. Know they say that you must be in AddonX when you are playing light games and will not work in Coinopx. I had bought a third party flash drive that has a category of just light gun games.
I really only use my guns on MAME but I do know that some arcade games require you to calibrate the guns in the arcade game's menu. Pressing F2 on the keyboard gets you into the menus.
Question. Is it possible to have this set up but on a CRT monitor? And with some other type of light gun?
I looked in to this recently but don’t remember finding anything promising. I can’t remember if MAME doesn’t work with real light guns or if it’s that there aren’t any real light guns that can just connect to a PC with USB. Sinden light guns and A1U using them will almost certainly spark lots of new options. I think there’s already a Sinden competitor popping up. It should get really interesting in the next 6-12 months.
Which version of MAME were you using? CarnEvil looks like it runs great on this version and setup.
I believe its MAME 202. I just played some today and forgot to look. It's almost certainly 202 but may be 209. Just be sure to use the 64 bit version. That HP computer I use plays it perfectly smooth.
Okay another question for you: how do I get it to run? I’ve downloaded the CHD & the rom and even put the CHD in a carnevil folder like every other video tutorial tells me but it still doesn’t work. I’m using the same PC and MAME 202 so am I doing something wrong or what?
What version of mame are you using for the gun games? Missing chd files? How do I get this game working?
A mix of MAME 202 and 209. If you're missing the CHD files you'll have to download them from a ROMset that matches the MAME version you're using. I found this ROMset by Googling, its for MAME 202 but most roms I've tried also work on 209. You can download individual files by right clicking and choosing "standard download". That way you won't have to download all of it. The CHD files have the same name as the ROM files and they both go into the roms folder in the MAME folder. The CHD is just a copy of the arcade game's hard drive.

In my opinion, an expensive toy, it is a pity that the developers did not think about adding an additional 2 buttons so-called:
1. Under the trigger as it is in the Quick Shot Plus lightweight Dual Trigger gun for the Wii / Wii U
2. At the back where the tap normally pulls, e.g. in revolvers
Dolphin Bar + Quick Shot Plus lightweight Dual Trigger gun for the Wii / Wii U is a better and much cheaper solution for me
of course, if someone already has a wii, Wiilots otherwise the price may be similar and the operation and fun similar as not the same unless I'm wrong I am waiting for clarification what is the difference because I am curious (it is known that the largest input lag is finally LIGHT GUN is on the cable )
Extra buttons would be nice on these guns. I don't have a Wii anymore and haven't for probably 8 years now lol. I would like to try them to see if I could compare the two. I wouldn't want to worry about the batteries though, that would annoy me.

I can't remember exactly but you have to be pretty far away. I now use Sinden guns which are better.

I haven't tried but I've read that you can use one bar for two guns.
Will the PS1 GunCon work on any newer Flatscreen TV models from 2010-up?
I've never tried one but I'm 95% sure it won't. Those old light guns relied on the CRT type of television. These new flat screens are very different as far as how the image is created on screen. The Aimtrak light gun is essentially just a Wiimote.

I’ve seen a teardown of the lightguns for T2 so I don’t think what you said about it being mechanically controlled is accurate.
They have potentiometers that are attached to plastic cogs. As the gun moves, it rolls the cog telling the game where the guns are pointing. I guess it’s not 100% mechanically controlled but it’s not relying on “seeing” the screen in any way like all other arcade guns.

I can only assume it's going to take several more months. Even then, I think it may not support all games. Don't quote me on that though, I just don't know for sure.

I don’t have any experience with them on the PC. I almost went with the Wiimote but ended up doing the Aimtrak guns instead.

@@KillerArcadeGames Time crisis 1 runs perfectly. Also off screen reload works when you edit the mane ini file. Time crisis 2 doesnt run 100% for me.
Will this AIM Trak Lightgun work on the Raspberry Pi 4?
I believe it does. I've never tested it but I've seen people using them with it on CZcams and I think it says they work with them on the eBay listing.

attached to a stand or a handle. It's probably a controller similar in action to the one in Let's Go Jungle games. You would have to think about how to connect it - e.g. via Game Port via the Game Port-> USB adapter. I wonder how they would work.
That’s interesting. I like the idea of a mounted gun cabinet. Do you know of an adapter that you could link to that would make these guns work via usb? I think they’d work if they can be connected that way. I’m not sure they’d be ideal for all light gun games though. I just finished my light gun cabinet build (see my latest videos). While the Aimtrak guns are good, I’ve decided to order Sinden guns. I should have then in February so I’ll review them then.

Why would you want the Sinden guns when they add an onscreen white border around the game?
Primarily for the accuracy they provide. The Aimtrak is surprisingly good but not quite as fast from what I’ve seen. Also, if I’m putting these in an arcade cabinet, I want them to work as good as possible in different light conditions. The border is distracting but it will get smaller over time. You can also change the color. I haven’t fully decided yet, but so far I like the Sinden guns from what I’ve seen.
