The wiimote will also work through the Aimtrak IR! So you won´t even need the golphinbar anymore (you can use the Aimtrak IR for both Wimote and Aimtrak gun at the same time)
I love mine its on my full sized xtension cab but I did have to buy a extension usb cable for the sensor bar to mount it properly the gun itself works like a dream just got to find a good holster to mount on the side of the cab highly recomend it
Good video, straight to the point. I gotta say, in defense of the wiimote, there are quite a few gun shells available that can better suit your needs (and your hand…). The Nerf gun is quite heavy as well and the trigger has a great feeling. Shotgun's also a solid choice but it's really heavy on the right hand. Wouldn't recommend any other though (especially not the rifle) but I haven't had the chance to try the Neko Perfect Chance.
Overall, they're both solid choices but I went for the wiimotes since I had them and although it can be more complicated to setup, it's more comfortable (or at least, convenient) to play since it has more buttons. Aimtraks users will often have to reach for their arcade buttons or keyboard to, say, add credits or start the game.
Though what I have learned recently with IR aiming is that it can fail depending on the environment. You remember when the cursor on your wii kept moving violently by itself? That's from the wii mote seeing different IR signals all over the area that isn't the sensor bar

Had an Aimtrak, was pretty good, had that wiimote delay/lag though. The Sinden looks like its way better
If they ever release it. I know there have been some supplied but it seems very slow going. I'll be all in once they're properly available and the first waves have ironed out any issues.

Does anyone have a tutorial from start to finish on setting up the aimtrak on a retropie, please and thanks? Im getting stuck. I installed gunconf and it sees my lightgun and the calibration works fine, i can see my button presses working and the gun tracking around on my screen...now the big problem is that for whatever reason I cant get my lightgun to move around in games like Terminator 2 Judgement Day...but the buttons in the controller work to shoot the rifle and fire missles... Ive tried to hit tab within Mame and configure the lightgun for up and down and left and right but it does nothing when I try to move the lightgun to program the X and Y axis within the game. Is there an easier way to do this? Any guide showing from start to finish on the setup would be very helpful to me to make sure that I didnt miss anything. I found an older youtube video on the dolphin setup and another aimtrak setup on advanced mame 1.4 but theyre several years old and not helping. Please help. Thank you in advance!

Can someone help my aimtrak works but its just the trigger button or fire button on teknoparrot. In the menu a click the fire button and it's finds it but in the game nothing and it's the same on any game thankyou
How do I calibrate it with the PS2 am I suppose to use the sensor bar with it as well? I’m having issues calibrating with the PS2 although I didn’t purchase a power cord like you mentioned on the video not sure if that matters?

I got the Aimtrac gun and set it up configured it and calibrate it on my Atgames Legend Ultimate and it won't respond to the games. Seems that it very sensitive and problematic. I think that most of the light guns are design to work on computer.
Any way to install this on a raspberry pi? Seems to work by default but I'm running into an issue where it wont the trigger works but the 2 side buttons don't. Then if i set it as it's own controller the trigger stops working but the side buttons work. Thanks for any help!

Hi, you can play 2 wiimotes on most of the games with one dolphinbar. But in this case, you need a tier software called 'touchmote'.

How does it compare to the PDP Mars Light Gun and IR Camera?
Voyage of the Dead is fun, but the gun just doesn't work particularly well. It makes me doubt that the Sinden Lightgun will be able to work any better.

@@TheAccountant1000 Yeah it states that it some how works with PS2 Guncon games but i cant find how to do it or have the money to test myself. I have fully backwards PS3 and i wanted to use this with that to play some Time Crisis 2 in HD. Right now i have one of those stupid rare EMS TOPGUN 3s to play those PS2 light gun game in HD but finding a second one is impossible and i want 2 player so i wanted the Aim track but no idea how it works or set up for PS2 games on real hardware.

There is no tutorial that explains how to configure and work on a PS2 :( regarding your answer on a EMSTop Gun 3 Yeah I have one myself and use it, I think it works fine but just wish I knew how to use the AIMTrak LightGuns because I think they are way cooler :/
@@TheAccountant1000 well we have the Sinden coming and they have shown it working on an original PS2 and PSX with some type of mod and a raspberry pi. The problem there is that the Sinden isn't fully released yet and outside of that video demonstration they haven't spoken about the mod or shown how to set up ourselves once the Sinden fully releases.
@@zombiekilldemon so here is the answer of all else fails with the AIMTRAK Lightgun, I currently live in the U.S and have a U.S PS2 console. If AIMTRak Lightgun is purchased from UK which mine was, then in order for it to work properly with the PS2 you need to have a PAL PS2 Version of the console along with downloading the Latest firmware 8.11 or higher from the sight in order for the calibration to work and work with the games like Time Crises 2 & 3. The catch is that you need to purchase a PS2 UK or European version PAL along with purchasing the European versions of the games as well in order for them to work with the AIMTRAK Lightgun. My last hope is that If I install the latest Updated Firmware 8.11 from from the site on the AIMTRAK Lightgun and all else fails then the guns are only compatible with UK or European PS2 consoles PAL version.

oh man, my son would freak over that transformers game. Which game is that? The only thing about at home arcades that kinda sucks is the ability to add credits whenever needed.. But I don't know if one could actually beat an arcade game on 1 quarter.. they usually feel kinda rigged.
I would buy these in a minute if they are easily setup on Pi3 or Pi4? I don't have a dedicated gaming PC...yet.

Appreciate your videos my man, but can we get a more in depth video of how to set up a Aimtrak Light Gun on Retropie/ Raspberry pi4. Can't seem to find any video on this setup specifically. And I have had no luck setting up my Aimtrak thus far. I have even used the Wolfanoz 64gb build that is supposed to setup your Aimtrak, but it does not seem to work for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got the same setup, however so far i can only get them to work with MAME. I cant figure out how to get them working with Teknoparrot, or Model 2 , or Model 3 . maybe you could do a tutorial on that ?
Tecknoparrot is easy it just mimics the mouse and then set your trigger,coin and start buttons

I bought a pair of gun, and I'm not even able to configure the buttons... I think I will return them because I'm seriously pissed off by these shits...
Yeah it takes a little messing around to get them right, pc is the easiest to setup with

Thing is always off center no matter what you do or any fix you try- and I ordered a recoil kit and they just....didn't send it but took the money anyways.
