Love seeing Winston embrace "Murican" culture lol. Great video as always!
The nylon mesh you pulled off the upper radiator hose was actually factory. Helps prevent rub damage. The zip tie, though, wasn't.
The entire upper intake manifold was painted black. Those came bare aluminum, and look great that way.
The actual sport grille would've closed that gap above the bumper. However, considering the front bumper you put on pretty much negates it and actually looks pretty good.
Seems like you two are enjoying a second childhood. Way more fun than a mid-life crisis!
That would make this a Mid Life Chrysler
*WOW! WATCHING THIS FROM BEGINNING TO END WAS TOTALLY ENGAGING! I had watched the videos as they were uploaded, but seeing the whole unbroken series as ONE! Wow.*
I hope you keep this concept of a channel going :) will take time but will slowly but surely grow an audience, especially if you don't have deep pockets to fund an exotic supercar or an iconic ricer like some of the other channels do to grow hype/subs (literally buying subs through the car), will be a slow but steady ride to the top. So keep at it and hope to see new videos pop up :)
Posting video every 6 months won't get there, though.
@@clamato422 unfortunately true.
Yeah, I thought the channel was dead. I really looked forward to the once a week updates. But then it went silent for like 3 months 🤷🏼
Yeh I’ve just subbed via Winstons and C Milks other China channels and really enjoying the content, especially on Winstons other cars.
The difference between different antifreezes is that some are compatible with aluminum and others will corrode aluminum -- and the different kinds are NOT compatible with each other, and will form sludge if mixed.
EDIT: You know how you keep buying used cars and discovering they have corroded leaking heater cores? THAT'S WHY USING THE CORRECT COOLANT TYPE MATTERS.
I learned something! Thanks!
My ford came with Pink antifreeze and the only Pink antifreeze I can buy is for Toyota cars. This makes no sense at all.
@@Redavisunwind The color doesn't matter... what anticorrosive chemicals are contained does.
@@Redavisunwind: That's fine. The color indicates the chemical formula. It doesn't have to be brand-specific.
No way Shawn. you know I genuinely did not know that at all. For the first time in my life at 43 I now know the difference for engine coolant😂👍🏼
Sorry Winston but it’s against the Constitution to display Celsius units in a pickup truck.
Or in America 🇺🇸 even
@Rob Mack only freedom units
The mask lol!😅
I love the complete series format. Reminds me of what Power Nation TV has been doing with the hour long complete videos, although shorter episodes would still be nice and the longer full series as like a finale so we have the option to watch either format.
The official Worthless Whip truck will tow any/all future worthless whip projects. Just need to find a flatbed trailer and ya'll set : ).
Yes I remember when this particular model first came out and Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear a British T.V car programme test drove a Dodge Ram and he pulled a freight train in one. God know how much the freight train weighed probably over a hundred tons and the RAM pulled the thing with ease. That’s what I love about American trucks. Their not the most technologically designed trucks but their sturdy , that use tried and tested engineering and mechanics💪🏼
I like watching people working on cars. Facing the unknown adds more exciting to it. Nice video/story.
This is incredibly relaxing, especially compared to other channels like MCM.
Finally a new video!
I always liked the stock Ram grilles of that generation. It has a presence.
EXACTLY what I was hoping for! Keep this channel going. It's the best.
"You can't be an American and not own a truck."
_[looks outside at his Toyota hybrid]_
Spoken like a true immigrant, Winston.
BTW, "DTE" means "distance to empty".
Sadly...nowadays you might want to put a plate over the Cat. With the ease of getting under that truck and the widespread theft of catalytic converters, that thing is a prime target for scumbags.
Yeh same here in the U.K. cat converter theft is massive. They even do it in broad daylight by slipping on some hi viz vests so people just assume their recovery guys and they literally rock up in a street, climb underneath people’s cars and steal the cat converters. A big high American truck like that over here would be rife for having the Cat stolen as access to the underbelly is so easy.
Yes it's back! Great channel boys. Hope it keeps going strong.
Yay - a Worthless Whips episode 👍
Nice to see an update on the V10 Magnum, aka ‘The Beast’ ! 🤣
54:54 "Do You Hear What I Hear?" is a song written in October 1962, with lyrics by Noël Regney and music by Gloria Shayne.
Good song 😊
Before Winston sang those words I was doing the same in my head😂
Gas caps are usually the culprit with the evaporative system
Yeah, not this time
The Dodge Ram V10 is one of my most favorite Cars in worthless Whips😊😊👌
Their good sturdy trucks, we even have some over here in the U.K, although how people fund the fuel as petrol is so expensive over here is beyond me. It’s cost Winston $105 for a full tank, here in the U.K that would be at least double 200 pound plus for a full tank on a Dodge Ram.
you can clean the O2 sensors with carb cleaner and a cotton ball or Q tip , be very gentle when cleaning because of the plating
Winston, get some overalls for working on cars. I bought three sets and what a difference. I dont have to worry about getting them messy and the fabric is lighter so you dont sweat as much as when you wear jeans.
And I bet you wear gloves as well🤣
I know especially in that California heat. That’s why I couldn’t live on the west coast I like the seasons too much.
@@phuckpootube6231 yep, took me a while to find gloves that fit my big hands. Finally Edd China put me onto some that work.
@@matty6848 Lived in LosAngeles for a while, i enjoyed it. The excitement of being able to do anything any hour of the day. It is the city that never sleeps. Back on the east coast but i miss the dry heat sometimes.
Now how's Winston's Trans-AM coming along.
Doors and fenders are back on, I’ll post an update soon
California charges a lot on pickup truck registration. Pick up trucks are always considered as commercial.
Great job, guys!!! 👏🏻🛻💨
All that popped into my head was “Ram Tough!” (Sam Elliot) 👨🏻🦱💪🏻 LOL! Interesting choice with the cattle/deer/homeless camp guard for the grill. 😉 Although, after seeing Winston for so long in a suit and tie 👨🏼💼it was a bit triggering with the flip flop action happening. 😱🩴 He’s definitely turning into a Cali Boy. 😎🤙🏻 Can’t wait for your next endeavor/mechanical adventure! xoxo Christine in sunny CO ☀️
Good job guys. That bumper Change was spot on.
Winston, give it up and get started on your application for citizenship. Where else are you going to feel more at home than right here?
It’s incredibly hard to get U.S citizenship probably one of the hardest citizenships to get in the world. I’ve heard it can take up to ten years. My friend lives in Texas and is married with children to a American girl, he’s been there 5 years now and still hasn’t got his citizenship. He’s still on his green card, so he can work legally but has to get it renewed every year and at any moment they could cancel his green card which they won’t as he’s a solid case. But just to get a reply from immigration can take months. He will get it citizenship eventually but it takes years. And they want to see everything as proof. Your bank accounts, savings, mortgage details, outgoings, work history, letters from your boss, character references the whole show.
I'm glad you're making car videos here in America instead of being tortured by the CCP or robbed on South Africa
Nice to see a new video on this channel. I hope you guys are able to keep this up.
love this channel. great job gents!
Watched the whole thing! Awesome! I think it turned out really cool!
_[buys a ka-bar]_
_[holds it like a letter opener]_
Me: [sits down to eat breakfast and continue watching the Redneck Viper transformation]
Winston: “You see those rat turds flying through the air?” [slo-mo rat feces flying]
Me: 🤢
Having a 4x4 pickup is necessary to take advantage of all the freedom available to you in America. Well done !
Such a frigging cool truck 🤩
The front end didn't look too bad. But now you can ram into things with that new bumper.
Yeh all the homeless bums on skid row in L.A😂
You can really 'Ram' into things with that Dodge now
The braided stuff was factory installed. It's in mine, I have the same truck, and it's to protect the top hose I believe from the air conditioning connection at the compressor. I like these videos.
Almost two hours. Sunday is SAVED.
This was a great video guys! The truck looks pretty good now. I really enjoyed seeing all the work pay off in the end.
nice content. Jayoe nation says Hello!
For some muffler leaks, good old Kentucky boys in my home state used to split a tin soup can down the side and strap it over the leak with a couple clamps and then permatex the ends of the can and the cut. If you were lucky, they even removed the soup label from the can!
That’s genius idea. No doubt save you money as well.
The sportiest grill of all
You are supposed to check transmission while it is running
Awesome job guys! Thanks for sharing.
I watched the entire video....fantastic work on that truck! The grill and front bumper combo looks awesome, great choice. Keep us posted!
Sweetness you Guys are the Kings of the Road
Been waiting for this episode !!
0:25:30 -- *Green* is Inorganic Acid Technology (IAT) coolant for older cars with more metallic components. *Orange* is Organic Acid Technology (OAT) coolant, formulated for newer models with more aluminum and nylon. Different metals/ sealants react differently to acids and additives; it's not just colored water. Using the wrong engine coolant leads to corrosion and damage to the water pump, radiator, hoses and cylinder gasket.
It's nice truck. I love those American trucks. Even if its in bad running condition. Its visually more than fine. And if you're a car guy and love working on cars and especially if you got it cheap as well. It's amazing guys, congratulations.
oh wow long form content, thanks guys!
Nice job guys
That truck is coming along nicely guys.
The nylon cover you removed from the upper radiator hose is installed from the factory, it keeps the AC lines from rubbing on the hose.
Yes- I've got the same thing on my ram.
Yikes! I forgot how expensive gas is in California.
hey winston , some places do not require all that smog stuff like Cal. , Cal is the most smog controled state .
What is smog is it like a yearly safety test cars and trucks have to pass? We have something similar in the U.K a annual M.O.T. Any car that is over 3 years old has to be tested to make sure it’s mechanically sound to be driven on the road. They test your emissions, tyre tread minimal 3 mm tread, lights, indicators, break pads and disks etc. Don’t know if smog is the same?
8:22, "This got all the freedom" Perfect tailgate sticker for this truck.
Good stuff, guys. I've been missing this content!
v10; these things are so thirsty. Haha. Great truck.
Different coolants are for different seal and block materials
Looking forward to more videos!
As I understand it the different coolants are primarily like that due to the different types of plastics and seals. Some coolants can eat thru the seals and hoses and such.
Welcome back! Hope you guys have been healthy. Your content was missed.
This is one of my favorite car channels, especially coming from a mix of a guy that knows what bush mechanic life is like.
Looks awesome!
Don't give up. Good lesson. "More" from The Sisters of Mercy. Cool!
Just had time to watch today, but it worth every second! Great video as always, congrats guys
Loved the vid😊👍
I love this channel, more content please!
Finally, a new UPLOAD, can't wait for the Trans Am Update!
Loved watching this! I just picked up a 2002 2500 V10! I’m so interested in it so I’m trying to find out everything there is to know. Nice truck guys!
Can't wait to see Winston buy a semi truck
Nice a strong and sturdy steel bumper indeed
hey Winston , jb weld makes a good puddy fixer also like what you used on the muffler .
1:11:18 Rather appropriate for that exhaust system: _"Hey now, hey now, now, sing This Corrosion to me"_
Will hold six adult passengers as long as three of them are legless.
Done. Anyway good for you guys. Thanks for introducing me to that other Matt from Jayoe Nation BTW. ;)
You have the wrong grille for that bumper style... So a few years, the Ram had a grille with a curve in the bottom part of the grille. The earlier ones had the straight bottom.
I didn't get a notification for this video. I just stumbled across it. I've been waiting for this episode. You guys did well on this!
Love the new grill !!
Wow that thing looks badass . Great job guys. Keep on trucking
"gonna make it N'ta" nice to see you still got some "home grown" in you, boet... as for the truck... it's so American-over-the-top...gotta love it!
Encoured by JiaYou 😂😂😂 to watch your car hobbies channel. Nice, good info! Great that your enthusiasm shown in your hobbies vlog. JiaYou
This is a very good looking truck! And you've got a Dodge Ram! Wicked!
This was a very good cleanup video the truck came out great! Good job Winston
Every scene of your repairs gives me nostalgia for the same exact repairs that I had to make for my 1999 Dodge Dakota. The evap purge fuel canister seal and hose connections, I had to make my own rubber fitting for the plastic lines, and the power steering pump with its leaks and the Lucas power steering fluid stop.
Thank You Winston And C Milk.
Great Video Thanks.
omg finally a new upload.
Well done!
That lucas oil power steering stop leak has stopped a leak for 7 months in my '98 ram and 5 months in my '02 monte carlo. I didn't think it would work either, very surprised and happy that it has. Also I love how that truck looks with that brush guard. Cool video.
Winston and C-Milk here's another Motorsports enthusiast Cleetus McFarland. 🙏🇺🇸🦅🗽🦾
That is a big, mean truck. You did great.
Truck looks much improved, nice work.
I enjoyed the full ep
I sure enjoyed this one !! Iv always been a Dodge Truck Man !! way to go You all ....
MacGyver would be impressed Winston! Well done-you certainly know cars!
HAHAHA. Yeah, thats how it works. Smog checks look at the history of how its been running, so after you clear codes, you gotta drive it. You can get a temp registration for a day of driving. Last time I had that I just drove it. I got pulled over and showed the cop my paperwork and he let me go.
Best part of fixing on the fly….. saying IT WORKED!!!!!
Any updates on the 78 Trans Am?
It appears Winston will have his whale; I only hope it doesn't cost him an arm as well as the leg. "Saga", may have already been used here, but "epic" applies equally well.
