Great video as always, please keep the vids coming. I also HAD the drive shaft clunk, dealership completed the boot/grease repair and told me it wouldn't last and they were correct. They did state that they had to do step "A" before moving on to step "B". "B" included a newly designed driveshaft which they had in-stock and had it installed in an hour. I can tell you, 4k miles later the truck still drives smoother than silk. Such a different driving experience without that clunk. Maybe something to check out in your area.
How long ago did you have that done? Do you happen to have the part number for the new driveshaft?
Hey David u would also be interested in knowing of the part number if you have it my dealer has replaced my driveshaft 2 times already 😅 so far no clunk but will find out after a month or so I have a 2023
Had is installed Nov. 17th, let me see if I can get a part number. I asked what was different and was told the spines on the slip yolk were redesigned. @@HorsePowerObsessed
Looking forward to that part number as well. I have 3600 miles on mine and clunk is definitely noticeable.

Im with you, I like the split cluster as well, my wife's Grand Cherokee has the fully digital cluster, and it just doesnt have the same "feel/appeal" that you get with a full sweep gauge.

I really enjoyed the video. I also have a 22 TRX and I picked mine up on 4/6/22. I have seen some comments that the rear door lights are missing, did you experience this? I do have the drive-shaft clunk but haven't had it fixed. Thank you again for what you do.

Ford had that issue years ago when I worked at the dealer. I remember removing driveshafts and greasing the splines to rectify the clunk. Always came back though.

I have a '23 RAM 3500 and a '21 Challenger Hellcat Redeye. If I had to choose, i think I'd keep the truck and not the HC. Great review.

I have a white 2022 Trx group 2 and i love it !! I have the borla exhaust on mine and some similar mods like yours . I plan on going to e85 and changing pulleys plus bigger ram air intake and tune .

Great review! The width for parking, drive throughs and construction zones is rough. Luckily, I don't have the drive shaft clunk yet. My TRX is Hydro Blue and I like the matching door handles and the analog dash on the 2022. I too would probably drive away in the TRX, but it would be tough leaving the Hellcat and C8 ZO6 behind.

Yes, very happy with my 23 TRX. Definitely happy to have ordered mine in January of 23 and picked it up in Iowa in October. I will keep this truck forever. I could not agree with more with your video. Too bad you are not out West, I would take my truck to your shop for PPF and tint.
I agree, favorite truck or vehicle in general that I’ve ever owned. I usually get bored with trucks after a couple years and trade them in for something else. Not the case with this truck, I won’t ever sell this thing. Awesome truck.
Luckily I read about the driveshaft clunk before I got the truck. Greased it from new and have never had the clunk. Suggest changing your oil more often than 5k miles. These motors are hard on oil and my oil analysis results have shown the same so I do 3k and redline oil now.
Best one is the Lunar 23, then Demonic Red 24 and Harvest Orange 24 ❤

Currently looking at trucks and specifically 3rd gen Raptors or trx. I would be looking at pre owned. What do you think is too many miles buying used? 30k or 40k? I've owned a few vettes in the past and loved them but mostly garage queens unless real nice weather.
I installed the Ripatuned/East Coast driveline drive shaft and no clunk on my 23 TRX. No gauge cluster issues here. I do have the left turn signal non-canceling issue where the left turn signal doesn’t stop after making a left turn. Dealer ordered me a new multifunction switch but it’s on backorder.
I haven't heard of that issue before but good to know! I'm curious how that new driveshaft will hold up after some mileage and some time. How many miles do you have on that new driveshaft now?
I have about 4,000 miles on the new driveshaft. So far so good!
I own a 2021 tier 2 as well and you are 100 % correct as it does everything. What more could you want and rediculous 😂. Great review and thanks . Oh yes I have the driveline bump as well but my dealer put the grease and boot but 4 months in same problem . Last visit they took driveshaft off and pumped the slip and fixed the problem . I have a case file on this matter with ram and waiting .ive had no oil issues and keep everything stock as no need to spend more money on perfection

Hey man i also have a trx and had the issue with the driveshaft took it in to the dealer they have replaced the driveshaft 2 times so far im curious if now they put the updated one havent had issues but the first time it was changed was fine for a while and then clunked again but its under warranty so i recommend taking it in soon
I will be talking about it soon with them so its documented but as far as I can tell, there still isn't a permanent fix.

What options do you need for the ditch lights and does it come with the brackets you need? There’s quite a few options to choose from. Did you have to do anything to fit the bed cover with the rambar?

I have 2 main problems with my TRX the uconnect is the worst I have ever had and I had multiple dodge and ram vehicles. Eg. When listening to the radio if I make a phone and hang up the radio won’t play. I have to turn off the radio and on for it to play. I also had the drive shaft clunk and twice took it back to the dealer and finally it’s fixed. I hope it doesn’t come back again. Also the driver side mirror wasn’t defrosting and the dealer changed it 3 times and still doesn’t work.
My "Differential Clunk" was pronounce and Dodge replaced my entire rear end at 15,000. I have the 21 model. Love it!!!! I have noticed the "Clunk" is coming back off and on...so we will see?
Everything I’ve read says it’s the driveshaft?
That may be what I have going on now? When I took it in because of my original clunk, they pulled the diff drain plug and there was significant metal in the fluid so they just replaced the rear end. When I go back in I will definitely mention it may be the drive shaft this go round?

I bought a 2023 model; the Only reason I haven't made it into Hennessey 1000 is, I don't want a Truck that gets 6-7 mpg. 702hp-is plenty and 15-16 mpg for such a big V8 isn't too bad. Plus insurance.

Ripatune has a driveshaft to fix the clunk , do lower pulley before doing upper. Check options
I want to believe in that mod but I'm just not seeing why theirs is different. I want to give it some time to see if it really does fix it long term or not.

I got my 2023 truck for 11k under MSRP which is 94k and now dealers here in Hawaii asking to buy for 135k I don’t wanna sell because they are going for over 160k here now.

How come you opted for the Rambar if you aren't going to run anything on it? Or do you plan to and just haven't gotten there yet?

No. Worst case, you just remove it. Nothing is permanent.
What do you do to keep it from being stolen? A lot of them are being stolen. And I’m considering getting one but don’t want it stolen. Unfortunately will not fit in my garage.
Go with an IGLA with a Compustar T13 or a Ravelco with a T13. These units are great and have a proven track record. I have the IGLA on my TRX and I cannot complain.
What taillights do you have
Stock tail lights tinted.
The clunk isn't specific to the TRX. My wife's scatpack did that. Also, I haven't had any issues with my screen yet. I have a 2024 TRX. I'll keep an eye out now.

Man you’re lucky. This has been my dream truck ever since RAM showed their very first try concept. I’ll never be able to afford one though and now they’re being discontinued with some spy videos of the hurricane in-line 6 concept sounding like a weed eater just like the v6 raptor. I want one so badly!!!!

"What do you guys think of it? 🤔"... I think the TRX is a badass glorified 1500. But my High output Cummins 3500 Mega cab Limited is better in every way I need and want a truck. TRX is not ideal for towing your Vettes from South Florida to PA and back. The RPM's will be pinging the whole way and you will have to stop every hour to fill'er up! Every friend that I know that has had a TRX traded it in for a diesel. Fun video though. And I'm happy you're happy but for what they cost you can buy a real truck to do real truck things. You should ask your buddy Josh if you can do a video on his RAM 2500. Park it next to your TRX and see the difference. 👍
Unfortunately, I drove his 2500 and absolutely hated it. No power, no presence, just not for me. I’ve towed with my truck already and the rpm was definitely not pinging off redline. The 2500 definitely tows more but it used a lot of diesel to do that too. You’re stopping about the same amount with either towing a vette.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Interesting. My C8 weighs around 3400 (I think..) the car hauler it goes in weighs around 3000. I towed it to Big Willow from Las Vegas 80mph 2000 rpm's the whole way with no fuel stops. My racing buddy had a TRX pulling his C8 on an open trailer and had to refuel going there and coming back. And he was crying I was driving too fast. He sold the TRX and got a GMC 2500. I couldn't even feel the 6000 pounds I was pulling.
I am getting my TRX end of March 2024 (yes still the V8), just to piss off all the snowflakes in the area of Europe where I live. I love the TRX, unfortunately a dino just like me, an outdying species, but before we leave earth, we leave a giant carbon footprint, which I am proud of, ,stop breathing all you carbon emitting live forms, lol! TRX all the way, God bless the V8!

Leave it to Dodge to kill off the V8 TRX, and all the other great vehicles. They are trying to push the Hunk of Shit Dodge Hornet...LOL. What a joke that vehicle is. I just purchased a new 2023 Ram 2500 Power Wagon in Badazz Olive Green Pearl with option 2 package. They took $15,670 off the MSRP. After my trade in, I financed $41K. Perfect.
I'm not a fan of Dodge in general but the TRX is just so awesome. Now that they are killing off the Hellcat engine and the TRX in general, I'll go back to never looking at them.
