      @@idjnow-gear-up Thanks mate! I have already purchased it and am now getting used to it. I am based in Singapore so I had to buy it locally. May I just highlight one point. The ProFX6v3 does need drivers, especially if you are using a Windows PC (like myself). You cannot just 'plug n play', so to speak - it will not work. The thing is that it is not an "auto" thing. Initially, because I think you mentioned that everything will be done when you plug it in, I believe it may be for a Mac computer - I am only guessing. But for those who like myself are not on Mac, we need to download the drivers from Mackie support. Only with the drivers installed, will your computer be able to identify your ProFX6 mixer. Hope this will help clarify things. Cheers and thanks again!

    It would be good to see this same board set up in a few different variations, especially for newbies with no experience. Even just single vocal and a guitar setup for recording, and the various options just for that setup. So a good simple video without all the fluff by the way. 2 questions: Only works with power cord connected or could be used only with USB? Aaand if I need to record in Ableton, do I count with separate tracks (1 and 2, may be to 6 channels?) or it brings the whole Stereo Mix?

    i have a profx10v3, and I'm attempting to use it as an external mixer and route a microphone, (channel 1) two DDJ-SX2's (channels 5/6 & 7/8) from the mixer through the 1/4 inch main outs via L,R unbalanced 1/4 inch to TRS 3.5mm + TRRS adapter to my iphone 10 to achieve clear audio to live stream on instagram. Is that possible or am i better off using an IRIG as the main router from the mixer to my iphone? I understand i could simply use 1 DDJ-SX2 and plug my iphone in via TRRS adapter, and 1/4 to 3.5mm to achieve a mono signal from the booth outs. Any advice from anybody would be appreciated!

    Is this Class Compliant? …. Can i hook it up direct to iphone for live streaming? Can this be connected to a Focusrite 212? & how do you control the gain outputs for each main out channel ? Like the focusrite has… what is the audio preamp spec? If it has one? What bitrate is the usb audio output? 24 bit?

    • @idjnow-gear-up
      @idjnow-gear-up  Před 2 lety

      it has Onyx Preamps. does not specify but should be 24-bit at the least. 2x4 High resolution sample rate up to 192 Khz usb recording. you don't need the focusrite depending on what you want to do. if you want to hook this up to the focusrite you can by using the left and right master out to each line input of the focusrite. you can't independently control the left or right master out. you can use this to stream live by using the usb cable to your laptop and selecting the usb audio as the audio card on your streaming platform, if you are using the smart phone best is the use a streaming device that has a 3.5mm audio input and getting a Y-cable from the mixer to that input on your smartphone and or tablet with a Irig streaming device. hope this helps

    • @idjnow-gear-up
      @idjnow-gear-up  Před 4 lety

      The issue most likely is is either the mic itself, the cable or your settings. Do you have a hardwire mic that you can test to eliminate the mic as the issue? If the hardwire mic doesn't do it, it's the wireless mic. If it does, it's either the mixer or the cable. Go by process of elimination.

      Hello Saksham,
      you can only turn on and off the Phantom 48v on the mixing board and its only good for 2 mics in this case, this model shown via the XLR ports. you can use 1 mic thats a condenser mic and the other regular mic and still use the 48v and it would only power the condenser mic automatically just be sure to plug your mics first before turning it on then of course then off the 48v before disconnecting the mic.

    I'm kinda confused by this (and other mixers). It says it's 6 channels, but to me that's confusing. Channel 1 & 2 are stereo inputs, right? Then channels 3 & 4 are two mono 1/8" inputs, and channels 5 & 6 is one stereo 3.5mm input. Right? So if I think about 'input sources', which in my mind is what I mean by 'channels' in a way, it's actually 4 'channels'. I guess there's the USB input too(?), but just thinking of the ones on top of the mixer, to me it seems like 4 'inputs'. Am I right in thinking about it in this way? Cheers!

      Think of Channel 1 is your left and Channel 2 your right for your stereo input signal coming from a dj mixer, phone, cd player. . When you plug in microphone/instruments they are mono/one channel, therefore you can plug in guitar on channel 1 and a mic on channel 2.

    I want to connect my elektron model cycles to my Uno synth pro and sync them. At the moment I'm going directly into my monitors and connecting both units, midi out of Cycles to Midi in of Uno pro. Problem is, the volume levels and depth is way below if I use each unit separately. Will this mixer solve this problem. Thank you.

      Hello Richard,
      yes and no. in order for it to be yes if let's say your software you are getting your sounds from to the synths and if the software can recognize this USB sound card then you can boost your level outs, However if you are not using a laptop for sounds to your synths and you have all of your sound coming out of the synths directly then you still can by using one or using the STEREO INS to each synth to the mixer and you can boost the levels as well as use the EQ to beef up your HIs Mids and Lows as well. hope this helps.
      Thx

    • @idjnow-gear-up
      @idjnow-gear-up  Před 3 lety

      No, this is not how a mixer would function, nor would we have anything that would resolve that issue as it is internal with the sound interface of your computer. There is no way for you to do so.

    • @iggiesparx4772
      @iggiesparx4772 Před 3 lety

      You would have a convoluted process.. Basically taking a line out of your headphone port on your pc and plugging into the line line in ports on the Mackie. Then you would be able to hear the people talk to you as a mix and you speak back through the mic on the mackie into your pc. You'd also have to set your pc up to select audio out as the pc audio headphones and recording in as the mackie.

      Hello Judge,
      latency problems if your referring to streaming it comes down to the connection and speed also the platform your streaming from as well. if your precise on your end it really comes down to the platform that your using. i know a lot of my friends that stream have switched over to twitch for several reasons. but having a decent mixing board like this is good to balance out all devices that your using to stream with I.E mics dj gear playback devices etc.

      for drivers it also depends on the version and if they are compliant to the newest updates for the OS on both windows and mac. if your using the latest on either computer sometimes it takes time for the manufacture to develop new audio drivers to coincide with the latest updates from amc and win. usual recommend before updating your computers to wait at least 6 months for most audio gear to catch up.
