Everyone is mentioning how Bo is an OG CZcamsr, which is true. But they're not saying just HOW OG he is. His first videos that are still on youtube were uploaded 14 years ago, in 2006. He would've been 15/16.

You are right about the room. His whole special for Netflix, Inside(where this song is from) is shot, produced and acted entirely by himself in his room. He quit performing live in 2016, because he had mental health problems and panic attacks. Just before lockdown he felt ready to return, but for obvious reasons couldn’t perform, so he made this lockdown special. I’d recommend to watch it entirely, but if you are looking for songs to react to, here are some great ones:

Why I love seeing these reactions. I'm 35 and grew up with one of the first households with internet, we had to pay PHONE BILLS for it. If I was downloading a single jpg in 1996 goodbye that jpg if you got a phone call. It took a million years to get into chat rooms or geocities fan pages. It's been a wild ride. And only gotten weirder.

Absolutely check out his old stuff for some more comedic songs. His new special "Inside" is more serious, and closer to performance art than a straight up comedy, but if you enjoy that type of thing, it is an absolute masterpiece. If you're interested, I highly recommend you watch the special start to finish. If that's not your thing, I'd still definitely recommend "All Eyes on Me" as a standalone song.

DUDE. Watch the FULL special on Netflix. But I’d suggest to watch his first two specials available on there. Maybe react to his song “can’t handle this” from his special Make Happy. He has been talking about social and mental issues with comedy for over 10 years.

It feels so weird watching reaction from someone who the song was actually designed for. Definitely watch the full special without your phone to distract you 👍🏼

It's so strange seeing a gen z'er reacting to this. You ARE the person he's singing to in the bridge of this song, reared on the internet; desensitized, insatiable, watchable and monetizable. The song suggests that he (aka the internet) has got your generation right where he wants you, which is in the palm of HIS hand - and not, despite appearances, the other way around.

I don't generally like "comedy songs" or "funny songs" or whatever you'd choose to call them, but the production quality on this song (and the whole special) despite being all done by one man stuck in his home, is astronomically high and the songs are catchy as shit.

There’s 14 years of Bo Burnham to react to, and there’s few things Bo fans like more than watching people delve down the rabbit hole.

So, he’s not talking about a time before the internet, he’s talking about the early days in the mid-late 1990’s (hence “circa 99’”) I was born in 1991, my grandpa was always on the “cutting edge” so he had some of the first consumer available internet, but we didn’t get it in my house until around 2001 or 2002.

Treat to see a gen z seeing Bo for the first time. I think you’d like his content as he’s a very smart person and introspective like you. You’d learn alot from him.

It's incredibly fascinating and depressing watching a self-proclaimed Gen Z reacting to this song. He laughs. Smirked at the reference to 9/11 even. This song is chilling, if you listen to the lyrics.

It's fascinating to watch a reaction from someone who grew up completely on the internet. I'm Bo's age - right on the cusp of when the internet exploded. Internet always EXISTED in my lifetime, and my parents' jobs were to be on top of technology, so we had the best of the best in my house (that being screechy dial-up that took 5 minutes to load up an email haha). My parents were pretty protective so I didn't get free range of using the web until I graduated high-school but... I definitely remember when things popped off. Something weird happened right around when Facebook came out. Like, MySpace, CZcams (granted, a very different CZcams), etc existed... but something about Facebook and Twitter seemed to be a tipping point. I feel like my brain still struggles to understand just how wildly different life then was compared to life now. So it's really interesting to see a reaction from someone who has lived a life where the world has always been like this.

Bo is one of the original CZcams OG's... He's been doing this since he was like 15. The man is CZcams personified. Welcome to Bo Burnham. Enjoy your stay!

Man..this is a great reaction. I’m 30, born the same year as bo burnham 1990, and I frequently wonder what it’s like to be born after me in a generation that grew up with the internet from day 1. It’s a blessing and a curse man.
