More like a back street drug pusher than a Disney villain, I think. So welcoming at first, then calm and friendly, reminiscing...and only after letting you know that you've been addicted since you were a kid do we see the vicious sneer throughout the final reprise, when there's no longer a need to pretend to be Mr. Nice Guy.

“This is incredible.” MY DUDE YOU HAVE NO IDEA. He is nominated for 6 Emmy’s because of this special alone. He filmed, wrote and edited it all on his own. From one room. With all practical lighting - no effects. His brilliance is limitless.
Not to mention he did this after taking a VERY long hiatus from performing and touring due to heavy anxiety. What a comeback.

Oh yeah, this is definetly a disney villain song. It has all the charisma and confidence we expect from Disney villains, and the whole "evil carnival man" vibe he has going makes it all the better.
I can definetly see the hero entering a room or a tent, and the man forcibly sits the protagonist in a chair and starts singing with like a Power Point presentation, Friends On The Other Side style.
And I love it.

Going back to We Think We Know You now is heartbreaking.
You laughed at "a nine year-old who died", but my heart kicked because if you're really on the Internet, you *will* at some point see violent imagery you never asked for. I've seen things that made me lay in bed for literally 2 days, sick to the stomach.
This reaction really shows that this song hits particularly hard if you're a millenial. The internet definitely feels like an abusive relationship to me. It's a second parent who constantly shocks and angers you but also gives you comfort and answers to your questions, who saw you grow up and who you can't imagine leaving. The slower verse can be both your parents or the Internet talking to you. It's just genius. It's also genius how the song is catchy and fun at first then both his voice and the lyrics because deeper, darker: that's how the Internet is.
“How the world works” is a disturbing masterpiece LOL would love to see your reaction, but suggest you watch it either way, think you’d enjoy it.

My first watch of your channel because it's a Bo Burnham Reaction (pronounced Burnum), and this is only one bit from his 1.5hr special Inside on Netflix - he created/wrote/sang/filmed/edited yadda yadda yadda in one room at his home during the pandemic, solo. Bo is a self-aware musical comedian with much deeper meanings; the man is a genius who can make you laugh, then introspect, and cry all in one song; they are not all just for fun. FYI Bo started on CZcams at age 16, was the youngest to get a Comedy Central contract at age 18, and did one-man-shows (in order: Words Words Words, What, Make Happy (burned out, quit) - then returned 5 years later at age 30 with Inside (his 'All Eyes on Me' explains what happened).
i remember how shocked i was when i watched inside for the first time, just expected another show focused mostly on comedy like the previous 2, with maybe a couple songs that hit hard. what i didnt expect was for almost every song and scene in the whole special to cut 10 inches deep lmao. not complaining at all tho, it's by far my favourite of the 3 shows and that's saying a LOT with how brilliant they were on their own. i love inside so so much, ive been listening to the songs on repeat to try and figure out every bit of them and just because theyre all REALLY good songs-
Now I want to see you power walk through the entire special. It's worth doing before you react to anything else by itself. The thing was designed to be consumed together and it's incredible, in hindsight this isn't even a strong point.
Really? This is probably my favorite or second favorite song in the special.
I don't know if you noticed but almost every word symbolizes something and what I mean is that when he says just shake and nod your head it's talking about whatever you do or say somehow appears to be recommended to you without you saying anything.

Bo Burnham is the ultimate truth dropper in his work ... He tells jokes, but he then hits you with reality when you least expect it.
Edit: He is the villain (The Internet) Also, the stars in the background represent the vastness of the internet. Then he shows the light when talking about the kid using the ipad when only two. Then he combines the internet with the kid's lights to show that he has won and the kid is now just like all of us.... We are part of the internet world.
