I bought a beat-up pink '67 Mustang convertible in high school. Every job I had went into it. The end of my senior year it was candy apple red. Had a Holley 4bbl. Edlebrock Mainifold Hooker headers. High profile camshaft. Mallory ignition. (I did everything but the cam. Those cars were built for the big blocks, and I can remember being able to stand between the engine and quarter-panel before the headers were on. I've had more expensive cars since then, but that's the only car that people used to pull up beside me and beg to buy it.
@Ronald Reed you think increased horsepower is due to regulations? MPG peaked in the 90s and has been going down ever since. Honda Civics used to get 50mpg in the 90s. You can thank turbochargers for increased performance, not regulations.
Now they only care about the $$... cars are literally built to break down after 7 yrs so you can be back in the showroom spending what the car is going to be worth in 2yrs on options
You can also downshift with that automatic transmission. Did you know that? I had fun with my 67 Mustang changing shifts. Standard is for the backward European masses who don't know any better. That's why I don't live in Europe.
I had a white 67 289 auto in high school. Auto was not my first choice, but a good setup. Beautiful car and great video. Makes me feel I am behind the wheel in 1982. Thanks much!
When I turn 21, my dad's giving me he's, 1967 mustang convertable, red exterior cream interior with cream roof. Long wait but we're going to fix it up together
Im jealous. I wish I had a 67' or even a 68' or 69' which is also one of my favs. Hell even a chevelle or a charger from that era are all gorgeous cars. The making of the car is the best. It feels like your own machine. Might be a long way like you said but its worth it for sure. Good luck
@@MrZerocounter I did not force him to buy a manual or said anything bad about it. I just WISH it was a manual because i believe they are more fun and i like cars which are very reliable. He can do anything with his car. The main reason i said "i wish it was a manual" is because manual cars have better acceleration than these old automatic transmissions
Uh I randomly clicked on this video for the mustang, but the intro shows a 190e Evo as well.... you must be my twin because these 2 cars are literally both my dream cars.
My wife and I drive this wonderful mustang, a day booked by jochen Swiss in the mai. Unfortunately, it is not enough for one's own! An American dream is briefly awakened to life!
Hola!!!
tell me what would you do if in such an old car gearbox or drive shaft broke? where to look for parts solutions? I am very curious and I like to absorb automotive knowledge
Most Ford transmissions used with the 289 or the 302 used in all thier trucks and cars fit. If your in a foreign country Ford falcons are pretty much the same. In the us you can usually have someone cut a drive shaft for $50 to $100 for almost any rear wheel drive vehicle like this
Ahoj taky mám krátce mustoše z '65 s automatem . Zatím ho připravuji na sezonu a ještě jsem se od koupi nesvezl. V 6:40 to vyřazení v nízké rychlosti a opětovné zařazení D nevadí automatu ?
I THINK IT'S ONE OF THE BEST CAR IN THE WORLD.
Me too
It is.
Yeah, do you know the fuel consumption on it?
@@XpertShooter00 Not good at all....but who cares. This car is for fun and the pleasure of driving.
It was a better cars with better history and better performance. Mustang was a bad car those times, commercial.

There’s actually someone who commented that his mom used to own a 67’ Mustang.
@@ryancoopersnissan240sx8 No doubt. Was a really affordable sportscar back in the day. That was the whole concept of it after all.
Wymiatacz Plays the thing is he/she said it was pink (they’re not the same model year)
Ohhh nice! Did you ever take it to the strip or track? Curious about your numbers because that sounds like a beast!
Back when car manufacturers were really into making cars
Back when manufacters kill the workers in a manifestation.
Same, good car.
its not manufacturers its all the regulations and bullshit they have to go through nowadays.
Couldn't agree more. 👍

There's only one major problem with this beauty........ its auto.
Exactly... Such a piece of art..
Shit if its a daily id rather have auto. La traffic sucks aaaaasssss with a manual
Then don't live in a horrible infested wasteland.
Auto transmissions can be very fast. Specially at the quarter mile !!
