How to make easy delicious black beans *using canned beans*

1/4 C onion + 1/4C tomato + 1 tablespoon garlic
Cilantro (to taste) or parsley
1/2 teaspoon of cumin (I used a little bit more)
1/2 teaspoon oregano & Salt & pepper
1 teaspoon oil
1 Can of beans (rinsed) + 1 “can” of water

I love latin black beans...I made this..and it was so good.... so quick with canned...i had no meat just cooked the base longer before adding the beans like she said and it was so good. .....gotta do cumin, oregono.. cilantro... sofrito... fresh tomatos...watch the salt.. taste along the way....less salt is more....add a little more cumin and oregano towards the end if needed..taste..taste taste your seasonings along the way and adjust.. so good...its definitely a staple in the rotation...

I just made this dish and it was delicious! So glad I found your video. I didn’t add any salt. Used low sodium Goya black beans. Instead of water I used low sodium vegetable broth. Simply delicious!! Will make again and will try other beans too.

I have to agree with the other commenters. Best beans I’ve had so far, goes great with Mexican as well as Brazilian or Jamaican. I thought I was crazy for thinking that about burning garlic too since most chefs put it in first. Also, I’ve yet to see someone throw the cilantro in first but it makes a world of difference in taste in the end product.

Was looking for an Indian recipe. First looking at the thumbnail, I thought it was Indian and clicked only to find that it wasn't. But the recipe didn't disappoint. I tried it and it is really tasty. I am still on the lookout for 1) an Indian version 2) how to make it with dried black beans instead.
