- Today we're saucing up a CAN of black beans. This is perfect for when you are pressed for time or can't be moved to go through the process of making dried beans. But I promise you won't miss out on ANY flavor. Make your own bowl and put these on top of your rice of choice, and I promise you won't be disappointed.
Recipe list:
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 bay leaf
1 small onion
2 cloves garlic
1/4 chopped cilantro
1 can reduced sodium black beans
salt to taste
finish with fresh lime juice
Looks & sounds like a GREAT RECIPE! I don't have a stove or cooktop, but saving this in case I do someday in the future. Thank You!!
I would love to give you a double like on this one. These beans were so delicious. Better than any I've ever had at a restaurant. Full of flavors! So easy and quick to make too with your awesome instructions!!! I had mine on warmed soft corn tortillas shells topped with salted multi-peppers/onions mushrooms and cheese. 😋Thanks for sharing this healthy & delicious recipe.

Perfect college dorm recipe 🙂
this looks great, thank you! did i miss something - are you cooking the beans with the sauce from the can, or do you drain the can and also add the 1/2 can of water.. or both? :)
i have everything but cilantro so hopefully it still comes out good!
Since I don't have cilantro either, I will be using parsley and green onions. I'll add 1/4 cup coconut milk to make it creamier. Hope that works.
beans look good,,, and what is the music
Thank you! The music is by me I’m also a musician(: you can find the video here

Hi new sub! Did you drain and rinse the beans first?
? I don't have drain the liquid and wash the beans or everything from can hits the pot ?
I don’t drain! I’ve tried it that way and it doesn’t turn out quite like the video.
@@solfood4382 tried the recipe amazing 😊 thanks
Just to make sure you don’t need to rinse the black beans first?
Can we trust the water in the can...or shud i rinse them.
In another comment it was mentioned that it didn't turn out the same. Honestly if you're worried about gas, you could rinse them, or boil the beans with kombu (a kind of seaweed). It depends on the can of beans too, maybe your can has a metallic taste or you're worried about the salt. You could always use dry beans and soak overnight if you're worried, but I think canned is more convenient if you don't have an hour or so to spare (or an instant pot / pressure cooker to cook the beans)
We Puerto Ricans aren’t so different from y’all. This is kind of how we do when using canned beans. Yeah we use the dry ones and spend all day too, but sometimes you don’t got that kind of time.
