When ever you are making chili, always rinse the dark red kidney beans several times in a colander till you see the water is absolutely clear and not foaming or making any bubbles! By doing just that, this will absolutely make your chili "poot proof"!🙄😳😯🥺👍🤗

In the section called "using a damaged can" you tell people that if the can is dented and they aren't sure if it's safe they should open it and inspect the beans to see if they are rotten. This is bad advice. The dangerous bacteria that grows in damaged cans often does not have any smell or make the beans look rotten. Someone could follow that advice and die, just avoid eating beans from damaged cans.

How can you tell if canned food has botulism?
the container is leaking, bulging, or swollen; the container looks damaged, cracked, or abnormal; the container spurts liquid or foam when opened; or. the food is discolored, moldy, or smells bad.

@@Rosedach It’s not based on all over, not a particular state, everyone knows you can do chili with or or without beans, but, most people prefer beans in there chili, one it’s a personal choice, second most people know and like what they grew up with, which a lot of us did with beans in our chili.
