I like the sequels better than the prequels at least. They have the exact same problems, except the acting is less clunky in the sequel trilogy, and I really like the idea of a corporate funded military becoming stronger than the state funded military. People complain about how strong the first order is compared to the empire, and it makes complete sense to me. Because all they have to do is take rich people's money (as seen in episode 8, the first order donors are all wealthy owner class people from the outer rim) and collect kidnapped children to do their dirty work. It's the story of private military during a step further than State military. It's a pretty solid cake on how fascists just moved to places with more liberal markets when they lose.

What I never realized is that one major reason Anakin was tempted by the dark side was because since he was not found by the Jedi until he was already older, he had an attachment to his mother that most other Jedi didn't have and her death was what sent Anakin down his future path.
Anakin always formes attachments and he sets friendship and his friends life before any kind of mission or "bigger picture"
the Jedi cult couldn't deal with any of this, since they had long fallen from their ways.
Only someone like Qui Gon could have shiftet Anakin's future, if he had trained him. Not as a Jedi, but as a force user.

I have nothing wrong with the animation and I think it was wonderfully done but the sequels are not Star Wars. I grew up on Star Wars and when Disney came out and shit all over my favorite franchise years ago, it sucked. Imagine reading all the books and watching all the CZcams videos then Disney throws all that lore and knowledge away and farts out some garbage. I was pissed.

Rey had a complete arc about going from defining her life and identity by her biological parents to defining her identity by her chosen family. I presume that the reason people like you say she doesn’t have an arc is so you can feel justified in hating a female character for no reason.

And then the Disney Luke takes said epically significant light saber and so uncharacteristically for a Jedi, nonchalantly tosses it into the sea.
That was one of the only things that actually made sense. It was just a thing, and it represented a confining legacy.
