Ive never read the book, and maybe she is bullshiting about the reasoning for the casting maybe not. But it does sound plausible to me.
But I do want to say regarding the outfits. I get in a book that might seem unimportant but film is a visual medium and to just not care about what your characters are wearing seems weird to me.
