  • This video details scriptural reasons as to why we react and preach against false teaching on CZcams. The goal is never to attack or slander individuals, but we desire these men and women, who are deceived, to understand the truth. Titus 1:9-16

    Im struggling with something. Its mostly just my online "world", whether it be facebook or w/e.
    I try my hardest to just state the facts and use scripture in these communities. I always seem to come up against someone that says im not being tolerant and im judging other peoples beliefs. But my heart is to speak the truth abkut Christ. Its left me feeling discouraged. I have to stop and ask myself "am i being persecuted for Christ or am i just being a jerk?".
    I never experience this face to face, well i have but its rare. Usually just the odd atheist, but they are the ones who get heated and i stay calm.
    Sometimes i might speak out about trans identity or abortion. I'm not posting "you hellbag! Hell is gonna split wide open for you!".
    Its usually always a call for reason and the use of God's word.
    I have come up across people that say something is wrong in my heart. They will take the moral high ground and try to end the discussion as to bait me. "Im not sure whats going on in your heart, only you do. Im done with this conversation, but if you feel the need to respond then go ahead. Maybe you need to blow off some steam and it will reveal something to you"
    How do i respond to that? At no point am i calling them names, im just simply saying the truth about what the scriptures say. If i respond then they essentially win. But its sort of a trick, because im screwed if i do and im screwed if i dont.
    I hope im not just being a jerk, i dont wanna be turning people away from Christ. But theres just clearly things i cannot compromise on. Yet if i dont, im just a "judgey" person.
    Maybe one of you could encourage and set me straight. Im willing to be wrong here. I wanna be walking in truth and love.

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  Před 6 dny +3

      Thanks for the comment, and I actually see humility in your choice of words here.
      At the end of the day, the online community is going to be mean, frustrating and hard to win over. This is why face to face is often the best. There is no emotion or connection behind a keyboard, usually.
      God knows your motive and your heart. You never have to worry about what others think if you’re preaching the truth according to his word. It is important that your goal is to preach it in LOVE, but don’t do it in tolerance of sin. Also if your words are mostly political or hot topic “take a stance” issues, then you’ll face much backlash.
      My encouragement is to preach the gospel firstly and often. This is the source of handling the other issues anyway. There is no promise you won’t face backlash, but the opposite is true. They that live godly will suffer persecution.
      Keep up the good work, and preach the gospel firstly and often. God Bless!

      When you see that rome innovated and split from the 4 others, that the orthodox have remained the same, then the reformers come and critisize the innovations of rome- having only the text to fall back instead of corrupt traditionon it becomes so obvious where the truth lies.

    (About those who fell from Christ after salvation)
    But what if, in addition to shame, which is considered the most powerful urge, they are also afraid of bodily inconveniences - that they need to be unwashed, dirty dressed, not experience any joy - to be in coarse rags, terrifying ashes, with an empty mouth due to fasting? But is it really right for us to pray for the forgiveness of sins in a pink dress (“coccino”) and Tyrian purple? Give me pins for decorating hair and powder for brushing teeth, scissors made of iron or copper for trimming nails!.. Let him put something on his lips and cheeks that gives a fake shine, artificial paint. In addition, look for pleasant baths by staying in gardens or by the sea; multiply expenses; look for the best-fed bird; strain out the old wine. And if anyone asks you for whom you are preparing this, say: “I have sinned against God and I am afraid to perish forever. Therefore, now I am weakened and grieved and tormented, so that I can be reconciled with God, whom I have offended by sin.”

      @@eddw3 You are right about about saved people make bad choices. We as christian do sin against God. What I am writing about is if a christian repent of that sin like (remarriage after divorce) then we shouldn't live in that sin forever. Jesus taught about divorce and remarriage that it was adultery. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 7:39 only the death of a spouse can on remarry. If OSAS is true than you can go against Jesus(GOD) and Apostles words. Nobody can live in adultery and enter the Kingdom of God. Paul preached strongly about that issue. We can have assurance of eternal salvation if we follow Christ. Hebrews 5:9 and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

    Not of works, so that no man could boast
    For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
    There is none righteous, no, not one:
    What must I do to get saved?
    Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.
    He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
    But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
